Several san rafael residents are being called unplate to thetic this very even for a curious reason. Its because old glory is flying outside their homes. Neighbors on rivera drive are putting up more flags as a show of support. People have fought and died for this flag. Dean morris has been flying old glory outside his home on riff vera drive for more than 20 years. But somebody has a problem with that. An anonymous letter was sent to morrison and several of his neighbors. Show some respect and fly your flag on important holidays instead of trying to make a moronic statement. It accuses residents who display them outside their homes of being confused republicans who dont agree with the president. Chase pennington got one too. Its definitely offensive. Make all these accusations about what type of person i am, what type of person anybody who flies the flag is. We dont know much about the sender except the letters are postmarked out of San Francisco, and on each envelope, what do you know, a stamp with the american flag. Neighbors are just as puzzled. I think its ridiculous. They call this a closeknit community and many put out flags to show solidarity. We didnt want to be intimidated by that kind of behavior. In fact, we wanted to show a strong statement, send a statement. Even though morris and pending done think sending the note was a bizarre thing to do. The flag stands for your freedom. Police used tear gas to disburse the crowd, but no arrests were made. Yesterday police finally released the name of the officer who killed brown. Abc News Reporter Marcy Gonzales has the latest. The revelation from police. The officer that was involved in the shooting of Michael Brown was Darren Wilson. Far from enough to ease their anger over what else police shared. Releasing these surveillance images they claim show Michael Brown in the middle of what police call an alleged strongarm robbery just 15 minutes before officer Darren Wilson shot him to death. The police chief revealing that when officer wilson opened fire on the 18yearold, he didnt know brown and his friend, dorian johnson, were suspects. Adding that wilson initially stopped them because they were walking in the middle of the street. I know his initial contact was not related to the robbery. So whatever took place there had nothing to do with an individual getting down on his hands and knees, raising his hands in the air, and saying dont shoot. We want to hear about the killing itself and how did that come about . And while the tension is high, the Police Presence remains low. The Highway Patrol captain now in charge of security here taking on a oneonone approach. We thank you for being here to protect. Urging people to keep these protests peaceful. And from our east bay hills camera here are the low clouds, the fog. Pretty start to the day. Just 48 in napa with 47 in santa rosa. So the north bay anywhere from four to 8 degrees cooler. Parts of the south bay a little milder. We have Clear Conditions toward concord and livermore. Southwest wind up to 21 miles an hour by the delta transporting the mild air inland.
