He was arrested at his home august 31st on suspicion of felony Domestic Violence against his pregnant fiancee. Vic lee is at the District Attorneys Office tonight. Reporter dan, abc 7 news has learned that one of the things that complicated this case is that mcdonald called a San Jose Police officer either before or about the time the 911 call was made. And that this officer actually went to his house. Now, reliable sources within the Police Department tell us that this officer works at security at 49er games. We dont know if the officer was on duty at the time or off duty. But our Police Sources tell us that he should never have gone to mcdonalds house, and that he should have advised mcdonald instead to call 911 if he did not. San jose police did not respond to our calls and the d. A. s office refused to comment. The District Attorney will now decide what to do with defensive end ray mcdonald. While prosecutors charge him with physically abusing his fiancee. Will they decide not to prosecute him, or conduct their own investigation with the evidence the police have collected so far. It was august 31st when mcdonald was arrested at his Birthday Party at home. A 911 call said he was abusing his pregnant fiancee. Its been a lengthy police investigation. The Police Wanted to be sure they covered everything before sending their report to the d. A. Another reason may be that mcdonalds fiancee does not want to testify against him in court. But attorney steven clark said if the case is charged, they will be called to testify even if they didnt see any actual abuse. All of the 49ers that were at the party could be highly important witnesses at trial. It means more victims are actually speaking up. Last year there were 199 reports of forcible sex offenses on uc campuses. That is up from 133 in 2012. Neil parrish is an attorney who was working on the 24th floor. They didnt seem like it was unsafe. It was just, they were stuck and it was going to get hot and sweaty, and eventually they had to get out of there. Reporter the firefighters first thought of breaking a window to pull the men inside. But decided instead on a spidermanlike response. A crowd of onlookers gathered below as police blocked off the streets. Nothing to worry about. And he was a latecomer. How long did it take you to get the extra five miles . This project has been in the planning stages in various other attempts for a number of years. And today Company Officials held a media event with some drag queens. Its this large dome of High Pressure, sinking air underneath that area of High Pressure is providing us with the hot weather. The heat actually peaks friday and saturday. The offshore wind pattern is going to continue tomorrow morning. That downsloping wind will bring that warm weather all the way to the coast again for your friday afternoon. Friends and former colleagues gathered at the california theater to pay tribute to joseph mcnamara. He was an advocate of the assault weapons and war on drugs.
