There is also a fatal crash on highway 101 in santa rosa around 1 30 this morning on southbound 101 on the hern avenue offramp. A passenger was ejected from the vehicle and the driver was unresponsive when emergency crews arrived. Investigators are still trying to determine what led up to this accident. Police have cleared the scene in Frances Mission district after determining a suspicious package turned out to be a hoax device. The package was discovered around 8 00 last night at 23rd and bartlett. It appeared to be a legitimate threat because it had a timer, pipes and wires. The bomb squad gas called to the scene and determined the device to be a hoax. Residents were asked to shelter in place until the issue was resolved. Police cleared the scene around 10 00 p. M.
