A man suspected of stabbing his father has been taken into custody following a nearly sevenhour standoff in sonoma. 55yearold Hector Vazquez was taken into custody before 1 00 this morning. Hes suspected of staning his father several times in the torso and barricading himself inside his home on mission drive. The victim was taken to the hospital with injuries not considered to be lifethreatening. A potentially hazardous situation at a park. Theres raw sewage in the creek and people are being asked to stay away from the office. Turns out the city conducted tests but didnt detect it at first. I made the assumption it was a dead animal, a dead deer or something. We went a few hundred yards and the snell was so bad we turned around. They said they first got called about the unpleasant order wednesday. They tested the water but found nothing. They went back. The crews confirmed there was, in fact, sewage. Was the first test done wrong in. I dont think so. The test questioning do is test for ammonia and dissolved oxygen and its often hard to detect raw sewage basra sewage is primarily made up of water. He said there may not have been enough sewage in the creek to be detected initially but some people i talked to are not convinced. Its become really terrible the last month or so and people were playing and didnt wash their hands or drink it. Crews had to post signs like this one all over the park, warning people to stay away from the water. The broken pipe is located three quarter mile away from the the park north of highway 52 at hillsdale boulevard. The sewage drifted downstream. A judgment has been issued against the Company Responsible for dumping 3400 gallons of jet fuel near a Water Treatment plant at sfo in 2012. The company will pay 79,000 for violating Environmental Protection and fire code laws. Two workers, who were not adequately trained to handle jet fuel, made an unauthorized dump that contaminated the Water Treatment plant system. An oakland woman has been sentence ford 120 days in jail for leaving her two and threeyearold daughters inside a hot car while gambling inside a livermore casino. 392yearold plead guilty to cruelty to a child. An iraq veteran is angry that an Oakland Police officer involved in an incident is reinstated. In 2007 scott olson was hit in the head with a beanbag that caused permanent brain damage. That could clear the way for immigration for more than half a million immigrants. The bill was declared dead on arrival. They said the government is running out of money to deal with it. I want to make sure that they are listening. If they are serious about trying to resolve this situation, that soldier needs to be unconscious neal released as soon as possible. Why are they wearing up the streets . Abc vic lee checked it out and has answers. The construction in the heart of castro street is massive. A huge traffic bottleneck. Jack hammers, cars inchching along the popular corridor that is now coned off into one lane of traffic. She lives on castro street. Castro used to be a much wider street. But now with the sidewalks widen, the street is any rower. It started in march and meant not only tearing up the sidewalk but the street. It was continued for about four months. The Public Works Department launched a vigorous Outreach Campaign to alert about the koss i believe inconveniences. But the inevitable happened to this man who owns a Grocery Store on castro street. Whats the difference . 30 to 40 down. Public works stopped construction and repaved the street to accommodate them the last week of june. They paved the street and as soon as they paved it, literally three weeks later they are digging it up. The city is tearing up the street again to put in these cast iron waterpipes.
