Thats right. Abc 7 news political analyst karla muir nuchy joins us. Thank you for being here. Talk to us about the significance this years primary and whats at stake for both of the candidates. Well, you know, california the biggest delegate prize. This is the place where Bernie Sanders bet it all. He spend 30 days here. But for Hillary Clinton and of the Bernie Sanders theyre bugging about a pot of 475 pledge delegates this is the place where theyve spent an awful lot of time and the stakes could not be higher. Even though Hillary Clinton is the presumptive nominee, she wants to come out with a win tonight. And so does Bernie Sanders. This will give him the boost to keep fighting on until the convention in july. Lets continue with that theme because hillary says shes won already. Hes saying, not so fast, my friends, okay . Might he change his mind after tonight . And whats the significance should he pull out a win an upset victory. What does that do to hillary a kpaens . Larry, you got it right. Theres the big question for Bernie Sanders. If he pulls out the win he does have the momentum, i guess, the rationale to continue forward. And based on what happened yesterday in San Francisco, look, his people, his followers were telling him, fight on. Without that win, i think the air goes out of sanders balloon. Hes going to get pressure from democrats not just here but all around the pressure country to unite with the party and to bring it home to that convention in july. So for Bernie Sanders this is the moment i think where his campaign will either stay afloat, stay fighting or have to fold up its tent. And karla, do you think that its going to affect voters and turnout today in terms of hillary being the presumptive nominee . Are people just going to stay home sthiing its done . You know, that is the milliondollar question today. How will that announcement affect voters all over californ california . Hillary people are worried that theyre going to throw up their hands and say, she already won. We dont need to go to the polls. Her message to them is, no, get out and vote. For Bernie Sanders it could be likely that his people are angry about what theyve called the rigged system, what theyve called calling this ahead of time. And theyre going to turn out in even greater nuns. So were going to see at the end of the night how this turns out. Right now its of a big question and its the question both these campaigns are sweating. Anxiety on both sides really. Definitely. Were keeping track of it all.
