It happened saturday around 8 15 at night as the school hosted a statewide color guard invitational. It was a big event. Police say a volunteer parent noticed three men in an area of the school they shouldnt have been. The Sheriffs Office confirms the parent was an offduty deputy. Union city police say he flashed his badge and asked them to leave. One shot him in the leg. James logan high school. Staging is required. Going to be a 53yearold male tgsw to the leg. The offduty deputy was treated for nonlifethreatening injuries. It was pretty clear right off the bat that it wasnt anything that happened in the pavilion with the student.
