Also San Jose City council is deciding a tough measure to impose a 30 cutback in water use for the bay areas largest city and that happens to be higher than what the state is asking for. Abc 7 News Reporter david louie live with the details. Reporter larry, the city council is meeting right now and the ordinance theyre considering is a tough one. If passed it would require residents and the average resident in san joss toe more than double the amount they saved in the past year. The mayor is seeking a much tougher goal of saving 30 rather than the 20 the state has set for san jose. Residents in the past year saved at about 13 so conservation would have to more than double. For us to reach a little deeper enables us to have some cushion to avoid a very serious financial penalty that the city faces and wed rather be spending our money on libraries, Police Officers and street repaving rather than paying penalties to the state. It will impose a daily fine of 10,000 for cities that failed to reach their target cutback. In turn cities can fbi residents for wasting water. A big question remains and who will enforce the cutback and crack down on water wasters. He wont use Police Officers and he is using overtime to patrol the streets. The real issue is how we get information into their hands. The city Council Plans to hold a joint session to identify areas of cooperation. The Water District has four enforecement officers and is adding three more. The water users will cooperate knowing that it could lead to serious consequences if the drought continues and overdrafting of groundwater is a major concern. Follow me here, if a phone company is bought out by another phone company, can a phone company that bought the other one out come after you for the money they say you owe them . You got that . Who is on first . I know what youre talking about, youre saying if you have a company and another company buys it, can the new company collect from you . The bottom line is it depends on the deal they made when they bought the company but they almost always buy the entire company. That means they bought the receivables which means yes they can come after you to go get their money. You can say i need proof that you have this right and then theyll send you a bunch of documents this thick and youre going to pay it. The third phone company kathleen asks via facebook i received a voicemail from someone saying they were from anthem bluecross. The recording asked if i was kathleen and gave the number to call back to get sensitive information. Is this a scam . It sure does. Ive got to tell you most major organizations and most Insurance Companies, businesses and your employer theyre not going to call you and ask for this kind of information and theyre going to send you a letter because theyll send you letters for this kind of thing and the best way to check, first of all this is a scam if the bluecross is not going to do this, but just so that you can check and be sure youll never call back the number when someone leaves it on your phone number. And instead you go to the phone book and go to 911, excuse me, 411 get the phone number and call them back and then ask them that question and never use a number that someone uses for you. A prescription at a pharmacy using my medical card costs 63. I changed pharmacies so the new one doesnt charge anything for the same prescription. Is this legal . It depends. There is a small group of people that are in a program that is called share a cause. Or something similar in that. They get to decide how much a drug costs and how much youre going to pay. You need to decide are you in a, and if so, they can be correct and if not you need to report them and get your money back because they shrpt have charged you for that and theyll give you the money and either way check in and talk to a case worker.
