We have more live from the scene of that fire, lisa . Reporter ama, were here on sacramento street and this fire is now out but as you can see behind me, a lot of firefighters are still here. More than 100 firefighters responded to this fire that broke out around 2 30 this afternoon. This video was taken from a woman who lives in the neighborhood. Smoke and flames billowing out of the building. They heard popping coming from between the two buildings before the fire started. Fire officials are not sure where and how this fire started but it damaged two businesses. The Clothing Stores and italian bar. I was just concerned because i saw people coming out of the building and people were just shell shocked. They were so scared. I was a little nervous and looked like it was traveling quickly, so thats why i was nervous. Orange flames coming out of the roof and as the firefighters exposed more of the roof, more orange flames were coming out of the top. Reporter and it took less than an hour to knock down this fire. A large crane was brought in to fight this fire from above, as well as from the ground. There are at least six apartments in both of these buildings, so that means that some residents have also been impacted by this fire. Back here live now, some people have reported seeing flames from as far away as marin county. This is a fire thats out but the cleanup, of course, begins for the firefighters, as well as residents and this street will be closed for several more hours as investigators are finally able to get into the businesses. New details on a story we first brought you on abc 7 news at 8 00. A space heater apparently caused the fire that gutted a building, nearly 70 firefighters responded. There was an office on the first level and an apartment on the second. The people who live inside the building were not home at the time. Fire officials believe the space heater caught nearby items on fire. The fire marshal estimates the building was built in the early 1900s before automatic sprinklers were required. Four students at san jose state face misdemeanor charges after accused of bullying a black student. The naacp wants the charges raised to felony imprisonment. Four white students used racial slurs, put nazi images and put a bike lock around his neck. They are suspended from the university.
