There is an area of steadier and locally intense rainfall around san jose and points north up to around milpitas. And in the north bay we have an area of developing showers that reflect the possibility of heavy downpours around san rafael. A deadly shooting by San Francisco Police Officers is prompting louder calls for a new use of force policy for the department. Officers shot and killed a homeless man yesterday at 19th and chadwell. Katie is live in the newsroom with the story. Investigators say they interviewed 10 witnesss and the man was threatening officers with a large knife. The actual encounter is not captured on surveillance video. You hear more than you see. The video does reveal the entire incident took about 30 seconds from the time officers confronted the homeless man to when the shooting stopped. 45yearold louis died at the hospital. You know it is really devastating. She is the executive director of the coalition on homelessness. She believes officers were too quick to use their guns. Try to greet them get them to cool down. There is no reason to come in guns blazing. They say the city is moving toward a new use of force policy as quickly as possible. They learn to do things a certain way and if you want to do things differently we need different training and different policies different procedures. Thats what were looking to do. Police released this photograph and they say it is the knife he was carrying. They are citing withins who country a dangerous scenario. East bay mud flushed the water lines after the workers noticed small unidentified particles in the water. The particles returned this week. Patients are getting bottled water and san terry wipes sanitary wipes. Pittsburgh police introduced a new Safe Exchange zone for anybody who purchases item through craigslist or other classified ads. There are two parking spots outside the Police Department and officers are not going to be there to witness the exchanges, but the spots are well lit and they are under 24hour surveillance. Police are searching for more possible victims of a suspected it child molester accused of targeting children at an east bay dental office. They believe they molested and videotaped three sedated girls at la clinica monument. We talked with one of his former college classmates who was shocked by the allegations. Police say they have interviewed a total of three victims, all girls under the age of 10. We know there will be more coming forward. After the first girl spoke up she got a search warrant for her cell phone. They identified the next two victims by looking at the videos they say he recorded while he was molesting them. He is pulling their pants down and videotaping their private areas and also videotaping their face in some of these videos. So far he is charged with eight counts of force believe a lewd acts on a child including one who prosecutors say he assaulted three different times.
