On this clear, sunny, what was a day and now night even a pair of gray whales decided to enjoy the bay. They were spotted this afternoon inside the golden gate. The only thing that got people riled up on this otherwise perfect valentines day was the sighting of those two gray whales. Right after our boat got in at 2 00, we heard it over the radio that there were two that were between alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge. Reporter she was aboard the kitty cat. They did not see the pair of whales in the bay. These pictures are gray whales from a prior expedition, but she said if the pair of whales are still in the bay, boaters need to be aware. We like to say, be whalewise rules. Stay 100 yards away. If youre in a motorized boat, within 100 yards, go out of gear. Stop moving, let the whales move around you. Reporter the last sighting was reported by boaters near the Golden Gate Bridge just before snesmt sunset. Theyre transitioning up and down the coast all the way down to mexico. Locals and tourists alike are loving the warm weather. Earlier today in San Franciscos Mission district, it wasnt chocolates they were after but valentines day pink strawberry ice cream at mitchells. For people who just flew in from chilly chicago, the break from winter couldnt have come at a better time. I was hot even stepping off the plane. So im loving it. Its gorgeous out here. While he was rushed to the hospital, cleanup crews arrived. They got here about an hour and a half ago to deal with the pillow fight aftermath. It will take some time to clean up this mess. New at 11 00 two men were hurt after crashing an suv during a police chase on highway 580 in richmond. It happened around 1 30 this afternoon. Officers were responding to a stolen license plate when the victim spotted it on this white ford ranger. The two men inside drove away from police and hit a car while getting onto 580. The chase continued east on 580 until the driver lost control. He had a firearm and narcotics on him. New details on a fivealarm fire that destroyed two businesses in san jose. Firefighters will spend all night watching over any areas that are still smoldering. The fire burned through two custom car shops around 7 00 this morning, creating smoke. You could see it for miles. Luckily no one was hurt. Although ten classic cars are destroyed. The owner estimates its a 1 million loss. Several neighbors left their homes because the smell of burning car upholstery was so strong. Scary just watching it to tell you the truth. It was just so thick like a big old cloud storming through. Investigators are still looking into the cause of the fire. But they do not believe its suspicious. New details on a story we first told you about on tuesday. Palo alto Police Released a sketch of a man wanting to take pictures of a woman in a public restroom. This man is suspected of following a woman into a bathroom and taking pictures inside a stall. This actually happened twice. The latest incident this past monday. Another woman reported the same crime in another bathroom at the center back in july. Palo alto police are asking for your help identifying a man they say groped another man in a Department Store restroom. This is a sketch of the man officers say entered the macys store mens restroom at Stanford Shopping Center wednesday around noon and groped a man.
