Public defender released surveillance videos from a hotel showing plain clothes officers entering rooms of suspects and leaving with items from the rooms such as money and computers but failing to file reports about any of it or locking the items as evidence in the investigation. Three of the officers were assigned to the southern station, two were assigned to the mission station. Police chief has scheduled a News Conference in 45 minutes to talk about the indictments. The District Attorney referred the case to the feds back in 2011 citing a conflict of interest to investigate it because he is a former police chief. The accident on highway 101 had southbound lanes closed for hours and forced evacuation of northbound by hopes in morgan hill.
