Yesterdays night market drew in over 12,000 people, while it wrapped up the third and final friday for the event this year. And as youre planning the start to your saturday, lets check in with meteorologist lisa argen, whos tracking a nice day ahead. Thats right. Good morning, stephanie. But as you look at live doppler seven, youre thinking, ooh, what is this . Right . This is Tropical Storm jova was a hurricane. It continues to weaken, moving to the west northwest. But you can see a band of it here is interacting with an upper level system allowing for some thunderstorm forms and a red flag warning. San luis obispo into monterey county. You can see all the activity here. So with the dry fuels, never good to see the lightning strikes here. And this continues to move off to the north and east, south of the bay area. But southerly surge will be bringing dangerous surf conditions for Southern California and also into santa cruz. So well be watching that. But rip currents, the possibility right around monterey and weve seen a few raindrops around San Benito County, san luis obispo. And youll notice that the activity continues. So with this, we could see the thunderstorms in the sierra nevada, the central sierra, but all south of us, while we enjoy this continuing warmer pattern and its not too warm, were really near average. Another system we want to talk about is lee that has weakened. This is moving towards the atlantic in the Atlantic Basin right now was a category five, now a category three. It will strengthen a little bit and its going to take a right hand turn there. But it should be. And it could be interacting with parts of new england, nova scotia, as we get to thursday and friday with some heavy rain and high surf on the eastern seaboard. What a gorgeous sight right . It is a nice start to the morning where temperatures are in the 50s in San Francisco, 58. In oakland, it is 52. In palo alto. And with that compressed marine layer, a closer view and you can see that well be looking at that dense fog right along the coast for the next few hours. 49 santa rosa. How about that . 46 feeling like september, right, in novato. But by the afternoon we are nice and warm again. 57 concord and livermore. And a final view here from our sutro tower. So only a couple hundred feet here. Notice that you can see that the marine layer its just not going to take and hold that long. But we will have the sea breeze throughout the afternoon. So despite that quick warm up, the winds coming up to 20 and 25 miles an hour at our beaches. So the dense fog this morning isolate showers possible as that interaction with the system to the south of us moves as far north as perhaps monterey, hollister. And looking at maybe the south bay, just a slight chance. Otherwise were looking at a cooler pattern beginning on tuesday. Highs today, a lot like what weve seen the past few days. 70 downtown breezy in the afternoon, 64 Half Moon Bay pacifica pacific 75 in oakland mid 80s santa rosa upper 80s livermore to near 90 inland and those high clouds in the south bay. Later on this afternoon the accuweather seven day forecast some 90s inland and well be looking at a couple of degrees warmer for a hot day tomorrow into monday. The breeze kicks up late monday into tuesday, dropping temperatures at least ten degrees inland and that will keep well keep that trend going the rest of the week. So if you like it, warm the next couple of days are on the toasty side. Yeah, 94. Yeah. All right. Looking forward to that. If you like good food, this next story is for you this morning. We want to tell you about a local business saying its here to stay despite local challenges. As abc seven news anchor kumasi aaron visited bars sprezzatura helping revitalize downtown San Francisco. Weve been hearing a lot about restaurants and businesses leaving San Francisco in the bay area as a whole, but there are a lot of businesses that are opening up. I want to show you one of my favorite new restaurants in downtown San Francisco, bar sprezzatura. Lets go. The world of sprezzatura means the art to do something amazing without effort. Its so weird when you look at how beautiful it is to think that there is nothing here. When you all started it, you all created this from the ground up. Youre right. It was complete open space. We lift the floor, heat it, put it back down and cover it with this beautiful glasses. And i would never thought that they come up something just beautiful. We wanted to help people in vacation using the tool of simplicity and hospitality. What do you think is it about this space that makes people feel like theyre really getting away . Its very bright and the interior design, they did a fantastic job. High lamps, right . Can remind you like a street in venice. But the tool of hospitality, i think that what makes people feel that theyre really transport somewhere else. We love the ambiance, we love the drinks, but we all know when it comes to a restaurant, the most important thing is the food. So im going to take you inside the kitchen in we got to cook with passion. You got to cook with your heart. And it shows in the food. You can taste it if you were to describe the food here, how would you describe it . I would describe the food at bar sprezzatura to casual, but delicate. We Pay Attention to all the ingredients. We Pay Attention to the craft, putting everything together and putting it on the plate. So every detail is very important here. When you take a bite of something of the food here, we really want it to be an explosion of flavor on the palate. You have like a connection to italy. Italian food. You really like it . Growing up, my dad was always making pastas and pizzas and teach me about the italian way of simplicity. I grew up eating it. You could have built this restaurant anywhere where in any city. But even in San Francisco, in any neighborhood. Why downtown San Francisco . Because needs love. Really believe it. And you do a hidden gem on the place that there was nothing before. It would change the dynamic of and the way the people think. Having this restaurant in downtown San Francisco, it does feel like a dream just to show people that there is still life. You know, its amazing. Food, good ambiance. What else could you want . The place looks amazing. Well, still to come on abc seven mornings, the search for an escaped prisoner intensifies. Oakland takes on texas on the road at globe life field. First pitch is at 405. San francisco takes on colorado at oracle park. That game starts at 605. And in the nfl, a sigh of relief for 40 niners fans this weekend. Abc seven sports anchor casey pratt has your morning sports. Good morning. The 40 Niners Nick Bosa made it official. Nothing conveys importance quite like a quill pen right heres an excited nick bosa faithful im locked in just signed six years im a niner for life. Lets go win some rings. Yep. Thats about as excited as the even keeled bosa gets the reigning defensive player of the year will be ready to go week one in pittsburgh. Great news for the niners. Terrible news for the steelers. The 25 year old defensive end eats, sleeps and dreams football. So its hard for him to be away from his teammates during the holdout. Ive been waiting for that moment. Thats probably one of the biggest things i was excited for is to walk in the building and see all the guys i know. They have my back, players have each others back in this league because its business. At the end of the day, an and it was really cool to see everybody. There are certain points throughout it that were more stressful than others. I had trust all along, but it definitely was stressful. Its going to be a weight off my shoulders and im just going to be able to really not really think about the negative thoughts that come along with playing this game and just just be free out there and play for one reason. And to win games. So entering friday, the giants had yet to win a game in september. And in baseball, september is actually a pretty important month. After losing six straight, the giants have dropped a three games out of the final wild card spot. Cool moment at the ballpark. Pediatric Cancer Awareness night kids fighting cancer took the field with the players. It was four nothing rockies in the sixth. But then the giants went back to back to back. Wilmer flores, Mitch Haniger and then j. D. Davis. All righties homer to left. A former giant tye block that tied the game at four rockies up a run in the eighth. Mike yastrzemski singles to right Josh Peterson comes around to score this is going to tie the game at seven three batters later flores up with the bases loaded two outs and with a full count evan justice walks in the winning run that was actually floress 500th career rbi. Giants win at nine eight snapping their six game losing streak. As in texas bruce bochy and the rangers clinging to wild card hopes. Three two rangers in the fifth sd area. Ruiz known for his speed hes got some pop to hits a game tying homer to left center its going to be three all six the inning same score Shea Langeliers more like bandoliers a two run homer to the same area. Thats his 17th of the season and the as win it six three. Embracing that spoiler role. And this is just strange. The cowboys debuted an ai version of owner jerry jones that can actually answer questions from fans is so jerry, why does your team keep losing to the 49 ers in the playoffs . Can your brain quantify that . Thats what i thought. Have a great weekend everybody. Im casey pratt. Thanks, casey. Well, if youre headed out to the giants game tonight, lisa is tracking a nice evening ahead. Yeah, thats right. Stephanie after a day where we top out in and around 70 degrees, temperatures will be in the low 60s by 6 00 at oracle. But check out this. This is Tropical Storm jova interacting with the system in the upper levels of the atmosphere, creating some thunderstorms to the south of us. And wow, this is just an incredible sight here are some of these producing rain. But anytime you have cloud to ground lightning, not a good thing, obviously, in california, but we will be looking at the chance s of a few showers, a thunder storm here from monterey, San Benito County as a red flag warning is in effect. And a southerly surge from that hurricane allowing for dangerous rip currents right around santa cruz. So the red flag warning until noon time. It could be extended into the evening hours just to the south of us. Weve got sunny conditions, but some dense fog at the coast. And you can see the marine layer here, sales force at about 1076ft. And this is well below that. And already looking at mostly sunny conditions for most of us, 56, San Francisco, its 58. In oakland, 57 in Mountain View. Good morning. Palo alto, a cool 52 for you. Look at this gorgeous view from mt. Tam where temperatures today will be climbing into the 80s here. So its going to be getting warm. Relative humidity on top of mt. Tam, 21 right now, 25. Mt. Diablo. So certainly dry in the upper elevations. And with that marine layer, really not holding in place, its going to be a dry couple of days, 48in santa rosa, 46, nevada with 60 by the delta, 57 in concord and there is that dense fog, the Golden Gate Bridge. Nobody there this morning. Well look at a chance of maybe a shower sneaking up as far south as the south bay from hollister, morgan hill. Otherwise, its sunny today and pretty warm out there with some low to mid 80s from san jose to los gatos. Santa cruz will be in the upper 70s. So notice some of those clouds moving into the south bay 82 in redwood city. Look for 76 in san mateo. So a few degrees warmer in spots today. Upper 60s with some sun Half Moon Bay pacifica. Its been a nice pattern at our beaches. 70 soquels stinson, 86. In santa rosa with some low 70s from richmond to berkeley, 76 san leandro. You head inland. Not too hot, but certainly on the warm to hot side, right . 85. San ramon 88. In livermore. So the accuweather seven day forecast High Pressure in control today. The next several days allowing for our warmest inland valleys to be in the mid 90s upper 70s to perhaps near 80 around hayward or so. So getting warm around the bay shore. But that sea breeze keeps us in the 60s as each and every day by the time we get to late tuesday sea breeze kicking up and cooling down everyone on tuesday for a good 10 degrees cooldown on inland. And then by wednesday and thursday near average. So really its been pretty nice out there. But with those thunderstorms, a big reminder of that. We are always close with our dry fuels and you know, a couple lightning strikes and you know how that goes. Disastrous. Yeah back thinking back to the csu lightning complex fire, there was 11,000 wind bolts from that one fire causing hundreds of fires. So of course, always top of mind. Yeah, thats why they have that red flag warning to the south. Yeah, good to know, lisa. Thank you. Well, coming up, get ready to get hungry. Im serious. The new food at levis stadium looks delicious. Plus, well show you where some of it is grown coming up. Running is awesome. But her moderate to severe eczema would make her skin so uncomfortable. I was always so itchy especially when i was hot.
