Since the Summer Season is over and you get into the holidays that involve people being outside. This is the worst time to get a line of severe storms. And weve got two days of it. Whether youre celebrating with your family outdoors today, theres five states under thunderstorm warnings. If its tomorrow, there are ten states. And on the real halloween day, were talking about 25 Million People in the way of this line of strong to severe storms. So lets just get right to it. In comes this powerful cold front. Substantial shift in cold air behind it. The warm, humid air ahead of it. These storms are going to be powerful in dallas, austin, san antonio, oklahoma city. I think the probably that area of arkansas into texas is going to be a rough one. Take the line of storms into the day tomorrow, and this really fires up. Heres where the strongest storms are likely to be. See the little tornado we have in the memphis area. Southeastern missouri, southern illinois, a little bit of indiana, kentucky, and tennessee, this is where we could get the hail and the strong winds but a little bit of tornadoes, as well. The heaviest rain and the biggest storms will be on the southern line of it. Houston, jackson, little rock. If you look at the eastern seaboard, the east coast is left out of this for halloween night. But overnight, into friday morning, even the east coast is involved in this. Its something were going to watch carefully. That halloween line, a powerful storm, at a time when families spend outdoors. So many people getting hit. Okay, thanks, sam. We turn to the latest firestorm over obama care. One of the core promises being called a lie. As Kathleen Sebelius, you see her right there, the cabinet member in charge of the rollout, shes taking the hot seat on capitol hill today. Jim avila will be there, too. All this is happening as we learn of a new report from inside the administration that warned the website problems were coming. Reporter thats right, george. Good morning. Kathleen sebelius is up on the hill. The fireworks have begun. Congress is grilling her. Shes already apologized for the website. So let me say directly to these americans, you deserve better. I apologize. Reporter today, the woman in charge of obama care, the Embattled Health and Human Services secretary, Kathleen Sebelius, is expected to blame the failures of healthcare. Gov on contractors who built the site. And in a prepared remark, distributed in advance, she takes none of the blame. Even though a document posted overnight by a congressional committee, shows that the main contractor did warn the government more testing was needed before launch. All this the day after an Obama Administration official apologized for the first time, for the errant website. To the millions of americans who attempted to use healthcare. Gov to shop and enroll in health care coverage, i want to apologize to you. We know how desperately you need affordable coverage. Reporter but there was no apology from the white house, for another obama care dustup, the oft repeated claim no matter what you have heard, if you like your plan, you can keep your plan. If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor. Reporter republicans say the president misled the public. Some called it a lie because 15 million americans may, in fact, lose the cheap, underperforming insurance they have now. The dow surging 111 points tuesday. Thats another record high, thanks in part to healthy corporate profits. This year alone, the dow was up nearly 20 . Well, investors believe that the Federal Reserve is going to be announcing that its going to keep its economic stimulus plan in place. That means that it keeps printing money to keep Interest Rates low, hoping that that spurs people to spend more on things like cars and appliances, because the economy is growing. But its growing too slowly. Now, the recent government shutdown, that slowed things down a bit more. The question is, will the Federal Reserve and its new incoming chairman, janet yellen, give us any clues about when the Stimulus Program may be scaled back because, josh, everyone on wall street thinks thats the primary driver of stocks continuing to climb. Any clue we get today is going to move markets. We will be looking for clues. Rebecca, thank you for that. Also, breaking news now. Chinese authorities have arrested five people in connection with the explosion you see here. It was at Beijings Tiananmen Square on monday. A jeep crashed into a fwat. It burst into flames, killing five people in the process. China has called this an act of terror. And the head of u. S. Intelligence gathering says america routinely spies on government leaders, even its allies. Facing criticism on capitol hill, James Clapper told congress the practice is, in fact, common and, in fact, legal. He says other nations are spying on our leaders, as well. Meantime, the head of the nsa strongly denied that the agency gathered millions of phone records in france and spain. Saying agencies in those countries shared the records in question. And a blinding dust storm triggered this highway pileup in arizona, killing three people in the process. A string of chainreaction crashes ended up crushing about 20 cars and trucks. Reporter its the case of an aviator allegedly acting atrociously. 45yearold Michael Pascal is an Airline Pilot for delta connection, charged with abusive sexual contact on an aircraft. Accused of fondling a 14yearold girl. The incident allegedly occurred saturday on delta flight 855, from detroit to salt lake city. Pascal, off duty and flying as a passenger, was sitting next to the alleged victim. The 14yearold who was traveling as an unaccompanied minor, says she lowered the armrest between them and fell asleep. When she woke up, the armrest was raised and pascal was touching her inappropriately. She claims she elbowed him in the arm and complained to a flight attendant. The flight crew moved her to another seat. When the plane landed, police were there to meet it. Pascals attorney says, quote, his client had fallen asleep. And while asleep, wound up leaning on the person next to him. He had no intention of causing harm or any kind of offense to anyone. It comes down to a he said she said. And a jury will have to decide which one they believe. Reporter its the latest case of Airline Passengers allegedly becoming victims. Earlier this month, 28yearold adam bartsch, a federal air marshal, was accused of taking pictures up the dresses of female passengers. As for the latest case, Delta Airlines says they are fully cooperating with the investigation. Pascal, still in custody, is due in court today. For good morning america, Clayton Sandell, abc news, denver. Were going to turn to the mounting pressure on the Washington Redskins to change their name. Today, a native American Group is taking its campaign to the top of the nfl, one day after the league met with the teams owner. Gio benitez has the story. Reporter its the controversy that doesnt seem to be going away anytime soon. There are some native americans who find this highly and incredibly offensive. This name is hurtful and damaging. Reporter oneida representative ray halbriter says his people didnt start this newest fight over the Washington Redskins. But he hopes his meeting today with nfl officials might help end it once and for all. I think by working together, we can achieve something, a legacy we can be proud of. Reporter the meeting comes one day after team owner dan snyder, reportedly met with nfl commissioner roger goodell. Snyder and goodells offices declined to comment. The Washington Post is reporting that snyder is holding firm on the position he took in a letter to fans. He ruled out any name change. Writing, we are redskins nation. And we owe it to our fans and coaches and players, past and present, to preserve that heritage. In his mind, he believes hes never going to change the nickname. But the world around him is starting to cave in. Reporter when a trademark application for the name washington bravehearts made news last week, speculation was rampant that change was on its way. It would be easier for dan snyder to make the change. Its the right thing to do. It would energize the fan base. And you would sell a ton of tshirts and caps. Leaders of 26 tribes are having their own meeting right now and talking about the name change controversy. The teams owner says he understands their concerns. Now, to possible bad news for pasta lovers. According to a new study from the Harvard School of public health, there may be a link between pasta and depression. Women who ate diets heavier in refines grains like pasta, fatty red meats and sodas, will be onethird more likely to suffer from depression. Abc news chief medical correspondent, dr. Richard besser, is going to break it down for us. Do that for us. This study . Its an interesting study. The connection here is between food, inflammation in their bodies and depression. Theres some studies that show inflammation in our bodies is one thing that drives depression. These researchers want to see, are there certain foods we eat that cause inflammation that put us at greater risk then for depression . They found a group of foods that cause inflammation. And they asked women did they become more depressed. What they found was that women who ate more pasta, red meat and sodas, had a 29 to 41 increased risk of depression. People that ate food that gave less inflammation, wine, coffee, leafy green vegetables, have lower rates of depression. Were there problems with the study that you found, rich . You cant take a group of people and say youre going to eat this. You look at what people normally eat. And then, you try to control it for everything else. It could be the other way around. People who are starting to see changes in their mood go to comfort food. I know after a downer day, i like to reach for the pint of ice cream. Mmhmm, right. So it may be driven the on zit direction altogether. But it is interesting to look at. And this study only with women . How about men and children . Its a famous study out of harvard. They follow over 100,000 women. They find information like this that we need to pursue in other studies. You cant apply it to men, or children, either. Recommendation . Im a fan of the mediterranean diet. Rich in whole grains, fruits, vegetables, fish. If its good for the heart and good for the brain, as well. Thanks so much. A building engineer found Lynn Spalding on october 8th while inspecting a locked stairwell. The San Francisco chronicle reports that investigators say four days earlier a man told a hospital supervisor he saw someone lying in the stairwell. Reporter thats the 7yearold voice of little ada macneill, talking to a Police Officer about michele macneill. Was she nice . Was she mean . She was nice. Did you ever see your mom sad . Not really. Reporter ada was 6 when she discovered michele lying unconscious in the bathtub in 2007. I screamed mom, im home. And then, went in. And then, my dad came in. And he was by the bathtub. And he was trying to pull my mom up. Reporter the little girl taped a nearly hourlong interview with investigators, while living with martins older daughter, alexis, a year after micheles death. It was played for jurors tuesday. What did you see when you walked into the bathroom . It was just like water, different color. She was just laying down in the bathtub. What was your dad doing . The bathroom . He was screaming, quick, help, go next door and get somebody. So, i had to run next door. Reporter the prosecution says Martin Macneill killed his wife of nearly three decades by giving her a fatal dose of painkillers and luring her into the tub while she was recovering from plastic surgery. A facelift investigators say he insisted she have. Macneill says he is innocent. His lawyers say michele died of a heart condition. Was she all the way in the bathtub . Or part way in the bathtub . All the way. Reporter others have given conflicting testimony at micheles position in the tub. Prosecutors argue that macneill killed his wife, to continue an affair with his mistress at the time, gypsy willis. She told jurors about sending racy pictures to macneill the day after micheles death. Its suggestive. Your buttocks . Yes. Reporter she says macneill proposed to her with an Engagement Ring three months after micheles death. 4. 5 carats. Reporter ada said little about the defendant. Do you miss your dad . Heart wrenching testimony in that courtroom. At the end, she was asked so many questions she didnt want to answer. How do you feel about your father . The answer was, i dont want to talk about it. And you heard the person questioning her, who is an expert in this, being very careful, trying not to push her. Trying to be very gentle and recognizing this is was a 7yearold she was talking to. And the defense, not crossexamining. Its smart of them. They could have called her to the stand. This was a tape introduced. They could have called her to the stand at age 12, to crossexamine her. They decided not to, smartly. Theyre going to bring in experts to challenge her memory. Theyre going to say this interview was done almost a year later. Now, shes almost 12 years old, et cetera. I dont think thats going to change the impact of that and there is something substantive thats very important about her testimony, as well. She is saying that her mother was wearing certain clothes, including pants, that she was in a certain place in the tub. Very different than what Martin Macneill has said and what authorities found when they got there. The claim by prosecutors is, that Martin Macneill may have manipulated the crime scene. So, honesty within what we do as a group was really important. So, i came to the table with the guys, just prepping for a tour. And i shared my heart with them. My feelings. What did you say . I think in a nutshell, i said, look, like i feel like weve had some complications in the group for a long time, without addressing them. I think this train will fall off the tracks without really getting real about some of the concerns and some of the limitations that we may feel, as individuals and in a group. It was a tough conversation. Not going to lie. It was the first time we really had that real conversation that was a few days of working through it. But now, weve all come to a place, after a lot of time, thinking about it, and talking about it together, where we feel like were best suited to do our own individual things. All things were passionate about. And choose to be brothers first. First and foremost. Joe, when nick comes and he starts talking about the complications, can you tell us what those complications have been . Just a few of them, for us as a band, it was the music. For us, we kind of held on to it for so long, that we kind of at one point, a year later, we still felt like it was starting to get stale to us. There were individual things that we were just butting heads about. Whether it was the way to set the music video, to even just even personal opportunities. And just at some point, we decided it was best to finish this. And support each other, along the way. Brothers first and foremost, you keep going back to. But you did release music this year. Hits, pompom. Are you going to complete the album . The album will not be completed. But were going to be doing something for our fans. They have traveled with us and been with us for so many years, we didnt want to leave without giving them back something. What weve done, were going to release four of the unreleased songs from the album. The rest of the album will be never released. Then, we also have gone back in the studio and finished recording the live we put together the live tracks from the last summer tour. About ten songs, as well. Well be giving that to our Fan Club Members as a gift. Thinking about your fans. Nick, talking about the individual things. Weve seen you on broadway recently. What does the future hold for each of you individually . Were really in a season right now of being real excited about the future. But also, you know, theres a certain heaviness that comes with closing a chapter and understanding that, you know, we have the best fans in the world. And have for our entire career.
