Companies media networks makes these America's 1st news this weekend with your hopes. Recovering from D.C.'s chaos I'm Gordon deal with Jennifer thanks for spending part of your weekend with us here's what's coming up this hour much of the nation was shaken to its core as the deadly riots unfolded at the u.s. Capital will anything good come out of it on the personal finance front how to use lessons from the pandemic to set financial goals for this year last year was forgettable for a number of reasons but Force Base enthusiasm 2020 was solid well identify the reason why. Why and how Alabama and Ohio States a very different path to this Monday's college football national championship we know that makes it even as. Context and everything that does incredibly good work for him well this year Wayne Higgins of the Wall Street Journal on the road to Miami for the Crimson Tide and Buckeyes. But never in recent memory have the events of a single 24 hour period so shaken 2 presidencies the very capital of the United States and the nation itself as they did this past Wednesday so says Jerry side executive Washington editor at The Wall Street Journal Jerry will the tone of our debates now change after this well I think it's possible you know we keep saying that there's been a shock and people will now step back from the political rhetoric and political divide in general and act differently as a happened maybe maybe so here I do think one of the things that will happen here is that President Trump's claim to be the leader of the Republican Party going forward has sustained a big hit here I think it's going to be hard for a lot of Republicans certainly particular people in the Republican establishment to accept that as the face of their party after supporters basically who have breached security at the Capitol vandalized the Capitol building itself and sent Republican lawmakers into lockdown including the vice president tense and so I think I think that is one of the consequences here I think maybe there's a chance everybody will step back a little bit here and say let's clear the rhetoric. Mitch McConnell the Senate majority leader was already arguing that in his 'd comments about the election challenge before the mob arrived on the hill so you know you think it's possible you would like to think it's possible a lot of people will and we'll see but it's not one of those days that people will . Forget soon I think the consequences play out for days weeks months maybe even years to come all right I know he was responsible for breaking windows and new climbing walls things like that did President Trump is to blame in some part in your mind well you know look he sort of set the fire here you have to admit I mean he spoke at the rally near the White House he said we will never concede the election will never stop fighting you have been betrayed you he say his supporters have been betrayed by the Republican Party's leaders their weaken their pathetic Now let's walk up to the Capitol and make our feelings now implying that he might go with m.s.g. Course. And then we saw what happened in the aftermath so you know people can assign blame as they want but the reality is that this is now kind of the picture the Trump movement for the time being not the one the president wanted I'm sure. But it is. The manifestation at least an anger that he spoke as recently as midday on Wednesday we're speaking with Jerry Sibe executive Washington editor at The Wall Street Journal has written a piece in titled a single day shakes 2 presidencies 2 parties and one nation to the core. What was it like for you as a veteran of d.c. To see this stuff on fold pretty remarkable I mean you know I've been here for a long time 40 years or so and I've seen a lot of things including the aftermath of 911 which was a kind of an atmosphere that I never seen before and shocking in a different way but it was. Seeing it shaking people to the core 911 did that I don't think of anything that's happened since that had quite the same effect until Wednesday and you know I just don't think I have ever seen or Nor would have ever imagined. The very democratic process that happened in the capital simply being disrupted and stopped and Vice President. Being. With into a lockdown to keep him safe from supportive of supporters of his own boss the president I mean it's just kind of breathtaking if you think about it and I think the question going forward is how do the institutions recover from this then it will be interesting to see how members of Congress Congress now conduct themselves one of the theme that Washington d.c. Was not prepared for this well I don't think anybody anticipated that this would be the result of what everybody knew would be a march and a gathering of angry Trump protesters who clearly share with the president the police the election was not on the up and up I mean I don't I think that sentiment is a genuine on their part they've been encouraged to believe that by the president and supporters but I don't think anybody anticipated that the outcome of that anger would be storming the Capitol I think people expected and certainly the Capitol police were prepared for big groups of angry protesters around the Capitol and they were supposed to be cordoned off and kept away from the building itself maybe they should have imagined this would happen clearly they didn't have as president elect Joe Biden handle this now well in a way. To say this too quickly at all but in a way it could turn off help him kind of underscores the argument he's been making that we need to get beyond the divisive politics of recent times and move into a calmer more 'd civilized political debate here I mean that's certainly a point that seems relevant after what we saw on Wednesday and you know I think it . Helps him by compelling Republicans and Democrats to take a step back and this is true of the people in the Republican Party on the right wing but that's true of the ruffling of his own party people who want to have conflict and combat and maybe he now has a little more leverage to say to people in his own. Party. Here and not the man you get everything you want except consensus Thanks Jerry Jerry side executive Washington editor at The Wall Street Journal coming up next collecting blood during an unusually tough period. Challenging time to collect blood donations due to the winter weather not to mention a tough time because of the pandemic insight from Dr Byock Lasky medical director for the American Red Cross Dr what your message January is National Broadband month as you mentioned because it coincides with what is the pines of year for us traditionally difficult or challenging for us to maintain a sufficient blood supply for patients and that has really been contacted by the challenges that we've had to use a coded we've seen during the course of the pandemic so far tens of thousands of red which has resulted in over a 1000000 units of red not collected. You know blood donations and bread products are an essential part of the health care process and of course hard to our communities so when we are challenge with collecting bread that of course has a potential impact on health care. Point we're not particular hospital or location . For a few days or weeks work it's well you know with our we have been able to maintain suppliers of our standard bread products like red sauce and platelets Kreizman where we're really starting to feel the pinch with our condo restaurant was in there for the curve of 19 patients and convalescent. So Congressman Price might is corrected from individuals who have recovered from the covered 900 being used and we'd rather not and it contains antibodies against the virus. That when it's transfused to someone who's currently infected with the virus it helps to clear the virus faster and so there's a huge demand for Congo wasn't plasma. You know as we've seen the case numbers sadly rise throughout the country the demand for convalescent plasma has parallel that increased and so we are very challenged with being able to keep up with demand right now the it's going out the door faster than it's coming in we're speaking with Dr by Alaska the medical director for the American Red Cross we're talking about donating blood since January is National Blood Donor month. How does the American Red Cross make it safe for people during a pandemic to come in and donate blood somewhere sure that's a great question. Sir the blood donation has been determined to be an essential part of health care and the Red Cross itself has implemented a number of safety measures in accordance with with the c.d.c. To help mitigate the spread of the virus including And we've implemented the appropriate distancing at our drives and that are generally centers we do health checks on our of our staff we do temperature screening for everyone that comes through the door. And you know we're doing health screening to make sure that we're not allowing anyone that comes in 2nd into the into this is so we're things we're doing frequent right downs in between each donor and of all River Heights such areas. So that it's really room maintaining the safest and environment possible and covered in 1000 is not transmissible through blood transfusions and so there is very little risk to to people who come into I don't know centers Wow All right good point how do you find a donor center by the way. We're encouraging people to think I would your groups or the Red Cross Red dot org And there are actually 2 ways to donate on the lesson which is in the greatest need right now. And that is if someone has actually been bagged No they can find that. Than. Dot com. Thank you being with us the path to the 2021 college football playoff championship could not have been any different for number one Alabama and number 3 Ohio State they play Monday at Hardrock Stadium in Miami at 8 o'clock for the national championship is this weekend's Jennifer to shrink in a season of chaos in college football it all comes down to this Alabama versus Ohio State for the national championship how they got there was quite different that was playing Higgins of the Wall Street Journal tells us Alabama navigated the pandemic with little disruption but o.s.u. Faced nothing but disruptions playing how did next even and the Crimson Tide get through covered 1000 relatively unscathed. We know the next they've been as a coach that has adopted process and everything he does is incredibly detail oriented and it works for him well this year with the pandemic and that he was very early on and preaching that everyone can social distance and I think just part of the program culture he's dealt and one of compliance and apology role and it seems like you know obviously paid off we don't know if there was an outbreak a minor player is that Alabama because there are not really any public data as come to her say about the testing that's been down there but based on you know steps are still abilities of 14 days it looks like almost everyone has been around for most games which is not the case for a lot of teams and the only person we know that Doctrove it is actually fell who had a false positive 1st but then actually got the virus the week of the Iron Bowl and you haven't said exactly how he thinks he got it but it was around Thanksgiving a time of the virus the spiking based on it's kind of understandable so do we think then that coach Dave in laid the groundwork. So that players kept each other more accountable than perhaps some other teams and teams that were not in the running for a national championship I think so and you know maybe you can say this about Alabama versus the other teams in the playoffs but if you look at a team like Minnesota where they were dealing with a pretty big outbreak right before the season started and then once it became clear that they had lost a few games cases had a huge spike and I think for a lot of teams across the country when it became clear that you know you maybe weren't going to be playing for a chance to be in the championship game for a mere 6 bowl it kind of makes you question you know why you're making the sacrifices because football in the college level is hard enough as it is before they tell you that you know you can't eat a meal with any of your friends you can't see your family you can't see your significant other and a lot of the teams that went to the tires levels of college football this year and didn't have outbreaks a lot that they gave up and I think we're now reaching a point of the season we're now going to over a lot of these coaches and players are opening up about you know just stressful and taxing that was We're speaking with Lincoln to the Wall Street Journal right lane so things are extremely different at Ohio State after a delayed start to the season Ohio State season really was just and starts all along right and some of that was due to outbreaks but then other teams the Big 10 So 1st Ohio State game against Maryland got canceled because issues Maryland has been Ohio State had scant. Illinois because she's there according to the athletic director positivity rate it wasn't high enough to necessarily trigger a program based on the protocol but they just figured it was to try to contain the spread before a problem for you know we don't know how bad it was. 5 5 doesn't really say data on testing but we do know that when you have taken place 4 and against Michigan State they were without. Something like 2 dozen players and many many starters so it's clear that that was contract breaking up. They were pretty undermanned and we probably would have seen that again the following week when it was both again but Michigan had to cancel that because of a covert outbreak there. Because about kind of been in this weird place where they keep trying to play games with their opponent or they themselves and because the big time such a lengthy return to play protocol which last she was 21 days until the Big 10 title game and 17 because of that is really hard for some of these players to get back in action whereas someone like Trevor Warren who's. A c.t. He only had to I think 2 weeks and was able to be practicing a little bit before that so it's just a matter of being in a conference with strict protocol weird start and then also. More cases of the virus and Alabama all right on paper though I would imagine that Alabama is everyone's favorite. Is just so electric a part of not stopping them but you know if anyone. If anyone can keep up with my field but you don't know if he's going to be healthy because he had a huge hit and likely some body damage to his torso and ribs but we don't know because. 1 4 they won't tell us until 630 with a big question mark about. The news without the nonsense you're listening to America's 1st news this morning we're going to thanks for spending part of your weekend with us Gordon deal with Jennifer coming up this half hour this year could be a huge one 1st base will explain how also setting your financial goals for 2021 plus for you to the old Sears stores and how cold is too cold for a workout love that story in about 20 minutes. Most people around the world are happy to see 2020 gone but 1st base enthusiastic last year was actually quite a good one providing bits of promising news amid the bleak headlines of disease. Economic hardship and protest is a story by Christian Davenport of The Washington Post Christian what can we expect from NASA Well they're going to keep a launching astronaut they had a test flight in May of 2020 and then an operational one with a full contingent of 4 astronauts 3 from NASA one from Japan and they're just going to continue that pace I mean a lot of people forget that NASA up until just recently just up until the space x. Flight did not have the ability to fly astronauts because the space shuttle was retired in 2011 Space X.'s words restoring that capability for NASA and they've got 2 more flights with astronauts to the International Space Station coming up in 2021 so that's going to be a big thing for them are there plans to get regular people aboard Space x. And some point Christian Yeah and that's actually could come off the 2nd half or toward the end of 2021 used to be the policy from NASA that private citizens weren't allowed to fly up to the International Space Station from American soil they've revised that and now there's a company called axiom space that is on one hand working to build its own commercial space station. Sort of private hotel and platform in space but also booking flights on space x. His crew dragon for wealthy individuals we're talking you know you get to spend 10 days on the space station cost about 50000000 dollars for the right to be able to do that so you know you've got to have a lot of money to be able to do that axiom will train you hear the transportation with space x. And and this case will have sort of a guy Michael Lopez Alegria former NASA astronaut who now works for x. In space so that's another thing we could see coming in 2021 in addition to the sub or. Little space tourism that companies like Virgin Galactic founded by Richard Branson them through Origin founded by Jeff Bezos want to do and they want to start taking people on trips just to the edge of space and back what is the starship spacecraft. That is Ilan mosque's drink and a lot of ways it's his next generation spacecraft that would be when this thing gets going massive and be able to take about $100.00 people or so to the moon or to Mars so now it's out to 9 rocket and it's Dragon spacecraft space x. Uses those to take astronauts and cargo and supplies to the International Space Station that is in Perth orbit that's about 250 miles away they're now working on space x. Is a much bigger vehicle starship that would be fully reusable to go to the moon and on to Mars they're working on developing that right now at their launch site and Boca Chica Texas outside of Brownsville the very southern tip of Texas and they're doing demonstration flights. All of you know working right up to the new year and that will be a big thing for 2021 here on hope to that vehicle will finally make orbit for the 1st time next year we're speaking with Christian Davenport at the Washington Post His piece is called 2021 could be a huge year for space here's what's to come from NASA mosque Richard Branson and Jeff Bezos thanks Christian Christian Davenport reporter at The Washington Post coming up next financial lessons from the pandemic. Thanks for spending part of your weekend with us joining up a list of financial resolutions for the new year isn't the routine exercise it once was the coated 1000 pandemic has changed that as it has altered so many other behaviors here's what to consider from Russ Wiles personal finance reporter at the Arizona Republic rest what do you recommend I think you know Gordon I don't know. The usual financial resolutions come up. This year for example are you know cut that real value like. More according to a Fidelity survey lepping really unusual about that but I think the Pentagon accounts. Some of those. Tweaks or some different nuances on some of the money resolutions right so the 1st one and evaluating spending in your budget. How do you think about that differently in the wake of the pandemic Yeah that's a good example I mean you're usually you know we anybody find a budget they start by looking at last year's expenses you know where they spend money and their income returns of course over the last year people spending disruption. That's something I mean you probably didn't go out to restaurants as much you probably didn't call drive your car nearly as much certainly didn't travel much so maybe those are when you know you we learn to live without some of these expenses last year out of necessity maybe we can you know if money is tight maybe that's an issue something we can learn to you know cut back permanently Yeah I thought it was interesting too that insurance needs came up how does that factor in here well that's another example I mean let's face it most people are not driving nearly as much as they did certainly if you're studying or working from home you probably don't you know you're not using the card much you know that could be an area of saving by itself but in addition there's always fewer cars on the road there's been a marked decrease in accidents and servers content companies have been rolling premiums as a result of you know fewer claims but this is another area that people might want to shop around for reconsider their insurance I mean it's not a bad idea to. Shop around for insurance you know every year or 2 anyway. Good cost saving around if you select an insurer insurer who really has been you know passing those savings along to the customers were speaking with Russ whilst personal finance reporter at the Arizona Republic part of the USA Today network is refuting title when setting your financial goals for 2021 consider these lessons from the pandemic you said you plan for an unreliable tax refund explain not well the last you know 2020 was kind of a chaotic year for the i.r.s. Some people have there 202019 taxis times you know by months and you know this is because the Iraqis had like every other you know large employer had you know office shouting problems to the pandemic they were slow down and I found it interesting that the IRA's actually actually made a small comment and in a press release I put out just a couple weeks ago warning people that they shouldn't rely on receiving a refund by a certain date and this is important for long people because. So but that you actually find that they recruit the largest chunk of money they'll get all year and they rely on a. Big ticket purchase of whatever. That welding people go or you know it's not going to be coming perhaps because. In terms of timing that that happened in the past and given that so many people are you know living and out anyway or paycheck to paycheck I just think it underscores the need to do. Turning down the noise so that you are listening to America's 1st news this weekend with Gordon deal but with us this morning on the program is brought to you by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation the businesses of the future are being built today and Michigan is where they start learn more by searching Michigan sure opportunity all Americans are heading back to Sears but not to shop public health agencies and health care organizations from Iowa to Florida are using some of the hundreds of closed Sears department stores to help with the nationwide effort to administer cope with 1000 vaccines it's a story by Sara cross reporter at The Wall Street Journal Star what's happening so these are stores that have a lot of space on the inside they usually have very large parking lots and they're usually pretty centrally located in communities close to highways easily accessible so the same things that used to drive shoppers and retailers are now attractive to public health officials who are looking for hubs that they can use to vaccinate as quickly as possible their communities so how does it work how do you design one of these things to be a Vaccine Center you know there's a couple of different approaches that I've come across and it's simply using the inside of the Sears stores the actual parking the parking lot walk in check in maybe even line up inside and then move through a registration table and actually like the hyena curtain appointment to get the vaccine and then you sit in a waiting area for 30 minutes for observation and they try to space it out such that you can adhere to social distancing guidelines at other locations and they've started to use Sears Auto garages so the places where you might have gone for an oil change you drive your car in roll down the window and get your vaccine through the window and then you drive to the parking lot area where you sit for observation and there's officials that sort of walk around to observed. And make sure that recipients of the vaccine haven't had a gross reaction that's so. Is it not just Sears then could it be any of these. Kind of large department stores that seem to be going That's right it's not just years we've seen them at Kmart's we've seen them really in these anchor type facilities within malls so that when you think about that sort of aging and sort of dying mall with its large anchor space that could have been occupied by any number of retailer and that space has sat taken in a lot of communities for a long time and so you know they become these obvious candidates for a vaccine sites and in some places they were already whether it's just the parking lot or even parts of these old malls were being used for code testing site partly because they have the big parking lot you can set up lots of lanes where people can line up and drive through and now that's being expanded to include vaccine administration we speak with some across reporter at The Wall Street Journal she's read it interesting piece entitled or Finally her use for the old Sears 19 Vaccine Center I get the sense in some of these cases a slightly off the subject here but. There might be a race to snatch the space from Amazon which seems to be taking a lot of these stores for fulfillment centers you know I think that a lot of malls are you know for years have been struggling with what's next for us can we redevelop the site can we try to find alternate uses in a lot of places you've seen entertainment spaces come in whether it's like a bouncy castle or laser tag or you know any sort of like fun things for families that become a draw or even gyms you know starting up gems in those facilities obviously the pandemic has changed that equation and you know wanting to have places where people gather and so you've had you know sort of even more pronounced shutdowns and what was already happening in that space and yeah you do have you know the likes of Amazon jockeying for some spaces but I think there is this sort of how I level question with what do we do with this. What is the best use of it thanks Sarah Sarah Kraus reporter at The Wall Street Journal coming up next how cold is too cold for an outdoor gym class. Really you write our lives in extraordinary hours Ok Austin the Capitol angry supporters of President Trump breaks the branch of government set to put the final seal on his November election last stand in recess until a call that both houses of Congress were in session as violent protesters. And bashed their way in. Ripping off heavily fortified doors climbing through windows vice president Hansen all 100 senators were whisked to safety as members of the mob pushed back police clashing in the Capitol armed with anything they could find C.B.S.'s Chris Van Cleef C.B.S.'s gray Seeger's was inside the Capitol waiting to cover the lawmakers vote to affirm President elect Joe Biden's victory when the assault happened I was scared. But also it didn't really register with me in the moment. Kind of like I thought she might fall and scared and then I would think to myself Ok but I'll feel that later right now I have to be focused and I have to ask stay alert and do my job and whenever I would begin to feel overwhelmed I would just think to myself I will deal with that later I'll deal with that when I'm home so we started out being locked in the Senate chamber and then we were guided to a secondary location here remain face. Wearing one of their porters wearing sort of an anteroom outside of where they were and he reaches kind of sat on the floor for 5 hours and the only real news that we thought was coming. Over Joaquin. Talkies being held by the Capitol Police. We would guess that their new development whenever we would see a new armed officer is. Passed by. But it really was in a lot of ways so real. Grace What was the scariest thing that you saw that day or star heard that day in the midst of. Trying to do your job and also you know to see what was going on I think probably the scariest thing was when we were leaving the Senate chamber. We had all reporters insiders alike and sitting in there for about half an hour and then all the sudden the senators were being evacuated and it seemed like they were going to leave the reporters in the Senate chamber. And that unfortunately Senate staffer shouted down to the police officers what about you're out here. And they said Ok fine you can come with the senators I say that. So. Leaving this action. And then there is we are told to go down to the basement and so all of us headed for the stairs just generally and it Regine see you take the stairs and there is a quarry saucer at the top of the stairs and he said take the elevator there on the stairs so the writers had already made it up the stairs and were just really steps away from us so we took the elevator down and then just a few moments later we saw pictures of rioters inside the Senate chamber where we had just moments before and where reporters almost got stuck we would have been there at the same time as the rioters. If not for the quick thinking of that gallery staffer C.B.S.'s gray seekers lawmakers did affirm Mr Biden's victory hours later C.B.S.'s Stephen Portnoy tells us there has been fallout and defections at the White House well it's increasingly looking like a mass exodus Alison not everybody's leaving but you had 2 cabinet members depart by Friday afternoon as we were taping this senior White House. Hills have said that they can't say anymore and political appointees a key federal agencies are also saying that they don't want to be a part of this administration anymore in the wake of what happened this past week and these are people who would have seen their employment and on January 20th anyway with Joe Biden swearing in but resigning ahead of that is meant to send a signal that these people want to be seen as more loyal to the Constitution then to the president that they have served the president on Thursday night put out a video on Twitter after his account was reinstated on Twitter acknowledging that his term is in fact ending on the 20th day of January and that comes as the cost of intensified for the president to resign or be removed from office we had the what the Wall Street Journal editorial board one of the most staunch defenders of this president and his policies issue and an editorial that said that the president should resign from office that he declined for too long to call off the rioters at the Capitol and then when he did so in a Twitter video hedged it with. A plea for you know with complaints about the election and by expressing common cause with the Marauders and the Wall Street Journal editorial says the president crossed a constitutional line and what he did amounted to an impeachable offense and then on Friday the president actually tweeted that the people who voted for him will quote have a giant voice long into the future right that's right and that they won't be disrespected or treated unfairly in any way shape or form calling the people who voted for him Patriots only I suppose the people who voted for him are the patriots and I guess if you were to read into that tweet not too deeply and the president also said on Friday that he's not going to attend Joe Biden's inauguration and that's breaking another norm not unexpected but the president said in a tweet to all those who have asked I will not be going to the inauguration. This is not happened since 1989 and the last time it happened it was entered Johnson who expressed sympathies to the south and was a racist refused to attend Ulysses s. Grant inauguration of course he was a former leader of the Union Army and now Donald Trump says that in a similar way he will skip Joe Biden's inauguration there's reporting that suggests that he's going to go tomorrow a lot go and stay there come January 19th c.b.s. To Stephen Portnoy reporting from the White House coming up reaction from lawmakers and the president elect That's next on the c.b.s. News weekend around. Sydney Powell you remember the release the crack in lady the lady said she was going to expose this massive scheme to steal Georgia away from Donald Trump and it had to do with Dominion voting systems right this is right this is been thought for a long time that from her camp at least that Dominion was switching votes for from Donald Trump to Joe Biden she's been laughed out of multiple courtrooms over this she was claiming that like Venezuelans were connected to their just none of what she was saying was true none of it again releasing the crack and what not so Dominion apparently has decided to release its own crack and they are suing Sidney Powell for $1300000000.00. Yes she doesn't have it but that would probably do something to the portfolio I'm getting so. They were because remember she was claiming that agents from Iran and China infiltrated the voting machines to help Biden in the software had ties to Hugo Chavez the former dictator of Venezuela who die almost 8 years ago now or did he and the company again like we were talking about that number the press conference where Rudy Giuliani's hair was melting off and I was a little rusty I was keeping an ear on that. He said that it looked like I had the weight of the world on my shoulder because what this lady was talking about was verifiably insane I was bring it up in his way of stuff and I remember Scott saying well what is Why or why do we have voting machines from Venezuela I don't like you don't you don't have good me achieve that that's not true none of that's true there was so many voting irregularities leading up to that point and you really thought Ok We're going to get some serious facts laid on us here and then it was just an absolute debacle Yes and that's when you knew all my this is not good that Mark leave and campaign Robin Show weekday mornings beginning at 11 on. News weekend round I'm Allison Keyes President elect Joe Biden had harsh words Thursday over the attack on the u.s. Capitol which left 5 people dead accusing President Trump of inciting a Wop to attack the Capitol to threaten the elected representatives of the people of this nation and even the vice president. To stop the Congress from rather far the will of the American people who just completed free and fair elections on Friday Mr Biden called President Trump one of the most incompetent presidents in the history of the United States and says he looks forward to Mr Trump leaving office c.b.s. To call Kilian has more on Mr Biden's reaction and how this attack is affecting security for its upcoming inauguration I think the president like to certainly trying to make clear that what happened on January 6th was not tolerable by any means and he has used very strong language calling it an unprecedented assault on our democracy and also saying that these protesters you know you described them as riotous mob insurrectionist domestic terrorist and and he also made clear that there was a difference in how these rioters were treated at the capital versus some of the black lives matter protesters over the summer and he said that was not acceptable he also expressed his condolences for the loss of life at the Capitol but you know by all means the president elect while he certainly has tried to strike hone of healing and will continue to do so I think you also wants to make clear that at the end of the day the American people have to stand up port democracy which Sure read on his mood and they had this really disturbing and distressing and deadly week well I think the president elect is trying to show as he has all along throughout his campaign throughout the election that you know this steely resolve this sense of calm this notion of trying to steady the ship obviously he's got decades of experience in government at all levels and that is one of the arguments he is made as far as his Cabinet selections you know picking people who are very experienced. There is a lot of repair work that needs to be done but look I'm sure this is not necessarily how Vision's who is. Sentient to the president. But nor a good he expect early on you know to have to deal with the pen Demick and ask you you know try to change. You know how the election played out and now you know if this moment all of this upheaval has really changed the trajectory. Of this dynamic as we head into the inauguration really briefly in the cold speaking about the inauguration has there been any concern expressed about security in the wake of the assaults on the capital this week why did have a chance to oust the president elect at one of his events this week if he is concerned about the inauguration and if he is concerned about the prospect for more violence and he said very resolutely that he is not concerned about security about safety of about the inauguration he said that the American people will stand up and he declared enough is enough now that being said we do know that this Secret Service you know multitude of federal agencies have security plans in place who have already seen a stepped up presence in the nation's capital as far as trying to establish a perimeter outside of the capital so a look you know security will be front and center as we head into this inauguration I would also point out that you know it potentially could be a thing in disguise in the sense that the president elect and his team were discouraging people from coming to the inauguration and because of the pandemic so from that perspective perhaps you know we could see less crowds but we also know that there certainly is the threat. You know some of these writers could come back out so who knows I think it's too soon to tell c.b.s. To call Kilian c.b.s. Nancy Cordes has the latest on what lawmakers are thinking about President Trump's future and a letter House Speaker Nancy Pelosi sent on Friday this was really remarkable Alison she said that she had just had a conversation with the chairman of the joint chiefs of staff Mark Milley to discuss precautions it could be taken to prevent an unstable president from either conducting any military business or accessing the launch codes and ordering a nuclear strike these are serious words we're not used to seeing those kinds of words in the United States but basically the message that she sending is that she's worried about what this president can do in his last week and a half in office and where is the movement to try and remove him from office I seems like there's some pretty major momentum going on on that front. There is a lot of momentum among Democrats in the House of Representatives to impeach this president who are a 2nd time they would come back next week they are supposed to be in recess next week but they would basically bring the entire House of Representatives back this would be an expedited process they wouldn't hold lots of hearings like they did the last time this is a little more clear cut they would basically put the articles of impeachment up for a vote on the House floor he's being accused by Democrats of inciting violence right here at the Capitol and if the House votes then it goes to the Senate for a trial how that would work is still very unclear the Senate is not scheduled to come back until January 9th one day before Joe Biden is sworn in as president but under the law once the House impeaches the president the Senate has to take it up right away so we're really in uncharted waters here really briefly Nancy I know you've spoken to some members of Congress how are they doing a motion only after this assault I think that a lot of lawmakers from both sides are are still really on edge they worry that the people who came for the 1st time and broke in could try to come back especially during the inauguration there of course devastated to learn of the passing of a Capitol police officer and you know that just that loss of life really just make this all the more serious and there's a lot of soul searching going on right now about what could have been done to prevent this and what can be done to make sure that it doesn't happen again c.b.s. Was seen as this bright light of democracy globally I think he was always going to have to President Trump has done a lot of damage to the image of the u.s. Abroad he has stepped off the international stage on so many issues and it left a vacuum that was either filled or simply pushed aside the pandemic of course pushed aside the need for many issues to be kind of followed on people took the chance to just say Ok maybe not yet but there have been several reactions for example Japan's chief cabinet secretary said we hope for a peaceful transfer of power and there were a lot of holes for a peaceful transition and saying really it's time to put this behind and. To move on and to bring the country forward like New Zealand's prime minister to send a different on Twitter kind of some doctored up saying democracy should never be undone by a mob and President macro also said that he had faith in democracy and particularly in American democracy just one last question Elena Normally I would have asked you what people were saying on the streets but what the covert knockdowns It's not like you have a chance to talk to people but I am curious did the newspapers really have anything to say about this whether editorials or anything like that Oh it's been a huge story cross the world here in France was on all the newspapers all the rolling news channels running it constantly there was a lot of. Hard shock and hard Well we kind of expected this didn't we and we're surprised that people are surprised so it was a mix of we saw it coming but we were kind of thinking that if he'd made it this far maybe he wouldn't pull the plug referring to President Trump and now the speculation of course here is how will the next several days play out in the last days of President Trump and what exactly will happen once the new president comes in and wants President elect Joe Biden is going to have to do to build bridges again around the world c.b.s. Oxygen level that's dropping Coming up an expert looks at how the deadly situation at the Capitol was dealt with that's next on the c.b.s. News weekends down to. The day after there was an armed insurrection of the Capitol and talk of serious talk among Republicans about removing the current president all 3 indexes though that the market hates instability Joe all 3 indexes had a record I I was watching the news in the afternoon a fairly late to wrapping up the day as I always do and they came on with the market report and I literally reacted what the hell what instability look like or maybe there just is not a truism anymore I don't know Kansas invades Nebraska again or vice versa or something I don't know Missouri declares war on the. Wow that's just so strange I know if there's nowhere else to put your money what are you going to do a buy C.D.'s me to buy and I say Vince Vaughn or Jr. So all the talk about the 25th Amendment is ridiculous the impeachment thing is slightly less ridiculous but it's still fairly ridiculous I don't think it's ridiculous to be talking about it on Wednesday afternoon when you weren't exactly sure what what was going to happen. What is he doing he said what the claim have been that he was mentally ill he had become unhinged I guess it was no you have to be incapacitated just of bad presidents is not incapacitated Oh it's surely inciting riots they know you're not faithfully executing your oath to protect the Constitution which is precisely why you impeach someone yeah you don't invoke the 25th Amendment I don't think eagerness is Harry at this point no I hope not I hope not back to the money so maybe some of the people investing in the stock market are people who got a stimulus check when they didn't have one coming millions of stimulus checks were sent to you to the wrong bank accounts just by mistake or you know out now for. And 7 50 am k f cutie. On the c.b.s. News weekend round up I'm Allison Keyes welcome to the kaleidoscope where every week we discuss issues including. Disability and race the world watched in shock as a riotous mob of supporters stormed the u.s. Capitol in a chaotic attack that left 5 dead including a police officer and some $56.00 Metropolitan Police Department officers injured so did Retired Police Lieutenant Charles Wilson national chair of the National Association of Black Law Enforcement Officers through the lens of some 45 years of experience we asked what he thought about what he saw and how the dangerous situation was handled on the scene I felt a sense of shame and just. Seeing be 'd. Taken over what I can only consider the. Terrorists. And. Point blank it's in looking at the way things were handled it merely illustrates again the. Long just in you know. One or. The majority. And one of the people who would talk to me a little bit about what you mean by that. If you look back on how they handle the various black Wyatt's matter protests during the summer there was a sense of how ring preparation 'd when those protesting came to which there seemed to be a strong. Any type of preparation for these folks you know that people knew Does this was going to happen they knew that this was going to happen. You know and they knew it was going to cause it there's no question whatsoever who's who stipulated that that that right who are you saying stimulated the right down to a crawl and I'm not saying that at the statement I'm saying that that's a fact you think that the various police agencies the many police agencies in Washington d.c. Should have been more prepared for this yes and there's no good no understanding of why there was no better preparation. As I said they've known that this group was going to be there for several weeks if. They'd known that because of the way he had been pushing the issue with the the various false hoods the various line of them and whatnot that he was doing and riling people up they missed that this was going to be a much complicated. Yet there didn't say it doesn't seem to have been much preparation to meet them in the same sense that they did when people of color came into it here a lot of pundits in general have suggested that this was deliberate not getting ready for this specific group of people because they were supporters of the president what do you think about that now coming up I I have to give credit to d.c. Metro based upon Him everything their chief has explained based on everything that the mayor has spoke about when they were asked for a refund when you look at how another of the of the the office on their whole side responded to the protesters want to call what would you come up more to glaze over these with with these folks some well we're going to have what appeared to be just general conversation a number of whole got run back into the building by inviting the crowd out there with some scenes a. Single solitary black all day we ran up the stairs or if you got any kind of back Ok and I got to get out there what a lot of credit he handled himself very well consider service you what do you think should have been done differently and how do you how do you fix I just parroting and responses like that as you see it. There should have been a better court made. Preparations do you think that police officers were put in danger in that situation oh Kerry definitely what he did. When he urged them to go to the Capitol he put every single law enforcement officer there it harm's way kept that off with poor people dying one of whom diet for long course an interaction now I just want to ask you one last question with all of your years doing tests what would be your suggestion for if there is another set if there is another attack on the u.s. Capitol if there is another huge demonstration in the in the bastion of the nation's capital what would be your suggestion to keep a similar situation from happening again the 1st day I was somewhat a year why what would you get because this company is going to come up there's no doubt in my mind that as long as. The Her Fredricka is able just you is false hoods and and generate the idiocy among his supporters that have been known to stand the possibility it's will occur so what they're going to need to do is recent visit they're planning revisit their operational procedures start bringing in personnel men because you still got to get through January 20th and that's when very likely this is going to start again I'm worried I'm concerned I do not want to see a repetition what. It does not bode well for the the concepts of your modesty the concepts of rule of law that my court 5 years on the job. We're geared towards it does not say any thing I did you nature about who we are as a nation that was Charles Wilson national chair of the National Association of Black Law Enforcement Officers at the Capitol flags have been lowered for us Capitol Police Officer Brian sickness who died of his injuries on Thursday coming up the social media fallout from the attack on the u.s. Capitol and what that means for a president who engages his fans and foes on Twitter plus a heartfelt essay from a c.b.s. Veteran That's next on the c.b.s. News weekend's round. The wrong question this is Dave Ross on the c.b.s. News Radio Network presented by Liberty Mutual Insurance the latest take on the invasion of Congress is that we must find out how the pirates got past the police except we already know the answer right it was because nobody paid attention to the warnings on social media and because the kinder gentler approach to policing falls apart when you have a riot we learned all that over the summer is the wrong question the sticky thing about what happened Wednesday is not that the police weren't ready is that the mob was empowered by a sitting president of the United States whose clear intention was to stop what was going on that very moment at the Capitol namely the process of electing his replacement it was way too close to 1903 googling and as with Republicans calling out Democrats to admit their hypocrisy when it comes to which side they take with the thuggery breaks out I agree Schumer and Pelosi and Harris and Biden should stand together and declare to the nation and the world that violence is violence no matter who's behind it because this is a pretty bright line has been crossed here don't you think so they should make it absolutely clear that the next time a Democratic president calls a rally to encourage a crowd to sabotage the electoral count and prevent his successor from assuming office they will take immediate steps to have him removed just as Republicans ought to be doing now they've lost on the c.b.s. News weekend round up I'm Allison Keyes the nation is still reeling from the violence that rips through the u.s. Capitol but many point to social media and the president's use of that to do what some see is egging on his supporters as part of the reason people moved to storm the Capitol that phrase was rampant on social media even before President Trump spoke on Wednesday calling on tens of thousands to march on Congress reaction has been swift from social media platforms explain scene that's ensure it's really fascinating Washington how the social media companies have responded to what's happened particularly after 4 years where they have and it's really interesting rock and hard place where they say well you know President Trump is a world leader you deserve as a person to know what he's thinking because he has control over our lives so we're going to let it happen or even if you breaks our rules and in fact people are tested and take what he actually placed in their own account. For. Whatever So what is interesting is that now in the face of what's happened. Haste for him said All right well you realize that not only have all he's white. Squaddie House about the danger of social media and that what's there online can really turn into real well. But now we realize there are arms are being used to actually ever gone in further violence and so they've decided to introduce case suspend him for 12 hours and in Facebook's case a sentiment so very funny especially And I think it's going to be really fascinating to see not what happens with Trump because honestly within 2 weeks he becomes a private citizen and this debate is over he just gets treated like any but the next person who is president who becomes a world leader what then how do they handle their stuff those are the things I'm really fascinated by I'm also interested because for a lot of well this is Maris said that they had no intelligence I mean the police chief that this that there was going to be quote unquote storming of the Capitol but that was all over social media for the last week right well this is one of the huge problems with social media in general is that it is hard to tell when people are just talking and when they are actually making threats and what we're learning increasingly is that when it comes to extremists which sounds obvious to now especially. Is that they aren't just talking but it's even hard to identify extremists Sometimes there were some who very clearly you know who they are they're known as leaders of extremist organizations those are easy it's the rest that are art and I think what's going to be interesting is that we're going to find out hopefully as the construction of a surprise happens and we learn about all of the security codes that happen both before and during that. Hopefully we learned is the government doing enough to look at the online communities and maybe has the government been been encouraged not to because of years of being sent to the you know treating Christians or white people wrong or stuff like that you know there's there's this feeling among many people who are in the right way that there is a surveillance tape on them from Facebook Twitter and where else and that does kind of that that has a way of changing the judges right like you suddenly they're going to they're going to try to act a little differently to what like you know they're extra careful because they don't want to be used he sings even if they were acting right in the 1st place so I'm curious if the government even was looking around places. There is an entire Capitol Police force that's in charge here the Secret Service was was on this because they were protecting the president during the saying they were predicting a vice president there all these other governmental organizations What were they doing were they you know where those are the questions I think he asked and again what the solution u.s. Role and you know should even harbor where some of the support AIs should they are so what is wrong really interesting and some questions that hopefully will get answers to I think we are all going to have to deal with a reckoning of the impact of social media and in what it means for these Tommies to have immense power and give people incredibly large platforms that they accidentally became we got into see that's ensure right after the domestic terrorists bought their way into the u.s. Capitol on Wednesday c.b.s. News senior political analyst and 60 Minutes correspondent John Dickerson offered this essay on the events of the day. President prompts remarks that to the crowd he summoned to overturn the election he pledged to protect the Washington Monument just one of the imaginative threats to which he presented himself as the savior but the monument under threat was down Pennsylvania Avenue the Capitol on whose steps President Trump talked about American Carnage 4 years ago saw the closest thing to that since the British attacked it more than 200 years ago. The president who had once threatened to quell protests over racial justice with the Insurrection Act had spurred an act of insurrection his encouragement seaworthy ugly flower of 4 years of dismantling traditions that hold democracy together he's lying about a stolen election was just the latest in a campaign against the very nature of truth to an audience he'd prime to the lead that the government was made up of sinister forces trying to steal their liberty members of Congress some of whom he had targeted were forced to follow the emergency instructions put in place after 911 when the extremist threat was supposed to be coming from overseas Capitol Police had to draw their side are not all protesters were violent some stop to take pictures in the Capitol Rotunda where they're having paintings of founding American moments the pilgrims lengthening the signing of the Declaration of Independence it was also a painting of the moment George Washington willingly handed back power by resigning as commander in chief of the Continental Army and artist John Turnbull said the act was inconceivable because usually leaders clung to power no matter what if Washington does that King George the 3rd supposedly said he will be the greatest man in the world American monuments have power because they inspire the conduct they elevate in this case Washington's virtue restraint character Washington put the nation over his personal ambition Donald Trump's personal ambition has convulsed many. That is a far greater threat to Washington's legacy and America than any threat from which President Trump may perceive him self as the protector c.b.s. Now Congress has certified the results a new administration will be inaugurated on January 20th my focus now turns to ensuring a smooth orderly and seamless transition of power this moment calls for healing and reconciliation to the citizens of our country serving as your president has been the honor of my lifetime and to all of my wonderful supporters I know you are disappointed but I also want you to know that our incredible journey is only just beginning Thank you God bless you and God Bless America too little too late period end of story too little too late that's the reality of it that should have come weeks ago but it didn't that was last night Donald Trump releasing a video talking about well what took place and compared to if you juxtapose that compared to what you saw the we just days before what was taking place and what he was saying and then 24 hours before. A different town and the reason simple a don't want to go out on his ass anymore than he already is and by that I mean he didn't want to go out before he has to go out which is a mere 12 days away America is and must always be a nation of law and order the demonstrators who infiltrated the Capitol have defiled the seat of American democracy to those who are engaged in the acts of violence and destruction you do not represent our country and to those who broke the law you Ok we have just been through an intense election and emotions are high but now tempers must be cool and calm we store again too little too late they will pay by the way they're paying in droves already losing their jobs they've been arrested they're facing serious serious serious serious charges some of them and for what for life that's what it was it was like we have every right to question some of these things judges in you know places going yeah I guess we could do that when it comes the election not elected officials doing things you have every right but the reality is is everybody seems to think that in some way shape or form the Sing was stolen it wasn't stolen some people can't fathom the fact that Trump lost and what's made worse is the continuous lies about how bad everybody is in these states and how they stole it from him and some people are waking up this is a lady called C.-Span listen to or because I think the light came on I do have one question I want to. Tell me more importantly I want to tell the family of the woman that was shot and killed. I go to. Go to. You did you did it's all everybody you know the people text me direct message me e-mail me dude wait till 6 you guys are going to see something wait till 6 I'm like you have no there's nothing you can do oh yes there is man Trump's telling us there was nothing you could do all ha ha ha yes there was nothing you could do period Case Closed and of story there was nothing you could do he knew that any lie again and again he knew it and he lied he knew it and he lied oh don't you bad it's it's common it's common don't get this day you market your market there was nothing at all that they could do there was nothing nothing nothing and he lines and he lied it's over now should we look into stuff with it comes to our elections absolutely I continue to say this pursue the legal things that you think you can pursue try to like all of us she wanted to man more from our elected officials when it comes to the election every election that it's safe and secure as much as it can be but at the end of the day this this right here what took place the other day there's no excuse for 0 and they're going to pay the price for it and they should and Trump he came out last night too little too late because people are calling some people from his side of the aisle or calling. For him to go some people on his side of the aisle some people who work for him are saying they've had enough and either they're leaving or they're in talks could it happen yeah Will it happen no I don't think so it's possible we get it it's possible he could resign it's always a possibility they're talking about impeachment again they're talking about the 25th Amendment I just don't think we're we're going to if this was 2 months out yes or 12 days away 12 days Section 4 of the 25th Amendment is what we're talking about here has a never been used before for very good reason because it's probably the worst written provision of the Constitution or impeachment either one have to make the argument that that would leave us better off then simply gritting our teeth and trying to make it through the next 7 business days which is all we've got left until noon on the 20th of January and I find it hard to believe that they can make that case. Yeah so the way it would work is Trump would have a chance to make his case after they make their case and the case is it and remember this is one of those things where it's the cabinet and it's the vice president it's and then. We don't have a lot of time at this point in time we should let it go I think they said enough to him that shook him enough that they're essentially saying look here is the deal this is what it's all about you've got 13 days now 12 don't do anything else do the things that you have to do and start packing that to do the things that you need to do and start packing and go from there then the other question that's everywhere and it should be how the hell did these idiots. Get in there so damn easy the bottom line it was an utter failure we heard from soon to be said majority leader Charles Schumer talked about and asked for that sergeant at arms to resign McConnell said that this was a shocking failure in terms of the security protocols bottom line it was simply not enough people around that building to protect it which is shocking given the fact that was all this intelligence brewing that large numbers of people were contemplating violence in regard to the vote regarding the Electoral College some of our military allies were saying they think Trump had a hand in this do you believe that the insanity but do you think that's true. No what I think is true is this was a horrible situation by people who decided to do something based on the fact that somebody continually lied to them over and over again and then spurred them on and at the end of the day there's going to be some serious questions people could be losing their jobs the f.b.i. Is going to be looking into stuff there is some serious stuff to be looked at at this moment in time how they wandered in there in some cases they broke in and other cases that look like hey we open up the barriers we have every right to protest in this country I said yesterday to get protests for protestors rioters are writers they got in there and there needs to be some serious questions asked and some of these people are going to pay serious serious serious penalties remember what Trump did with all the crazy stuff that went on the summer and I talk about the protests about the writing the Knights of unrest where there was attacks in buildings being burned and people losing that business is that people losing their lives you remember that Trump said you tack a federal building what do you get 10 year minimum sentence. Some of these people going to pay serious prices for this as they should I'm calling for a joint task force to be assembled and spend all the time and money necessary to it then if I every person who breached the security of the Capitol who occupied the Chambers who invaded offices and destroyed property there's a ton of video evidence out there trust me in social media world it is this today it won't be that hard to find thousands of people who took the law in their own hands now well we're going to find out who they are we know some of them by the way the Viking guy Jake and Shelley those of you Arizona guy he's a shaman huge Trump supporter for those of you who think. He is not in fact several of those people that were arrested are indeed from Arizona they're very entrenched some of them and the the all right ish world some of them are just our hard core conservatives that seem to have lost their way but their way has been found the 50 year old woman there she's from here her husband said I just wish she would have went back to the hotel Well she didn't and she's in a different hotel 323532423 actually events and shows your Twitter tweet us text the program love hearing from every single one of you great concert best ear buds around love my re cons. Clean clothes healthy life. Independent thoughts independent life. This is Chad and. The u.s. Economy lost 140000 jobs in December the Labor Department said it reflects a recent increase in coronavirus cases and efforts to contain the pandemic the leisure and hospitality and private education sectors were particularly hard hit there were job gains in retail and construction but last month nearly 16000000 people said they had been unable to work because their employer closed or lost business due to the pandemic Yeah that's not good reality is now that we've gotten through the election and the end of the year we're into the new year and it's starting steadily when we have a new president coming in and there's the question of what's next right what's going to be the next thing is there going to be more money coming when Yeah I'm pretty sure they're going to do everything they can to get even more money into people's hands I think that's easy to see and the 1st order of this is the pass an emergency 19 yell which among many other things says the working class Americans we know you're in pain and we're going to get you a $2000.00 check for every working class adult in this country we are on your thought we're going to expand health care to cover the uninsured we're going to deal with student debt we have got to be bold in a way that we have not seen since f.d.r. In the 1930 like Bernie would like to see that do I think that's going to happen I think look years I think of people were what's Pine's American look like it's going to look like America that kind of was under Obama they're going to push him to do some stuff and he may but he's also I think going to push back as well. But Biden is he's already Each really hit out at times behind the scenes on the progress that want to do stuff that you know you're going to sit there and here's the other thing even you want to do all these things we're not in the position to do all the things that you want to do when. We need to raise taxes on and we're not in the position right now to hand an anchor to a drowning man and tell him to swim ashore you might want from a life raft or a vast which is what this 2000 will be but a lot of the other things that they want to do it's not going to happen and I know they're going to try it they can try hard I remember what happened in 2010 the Democrats during the 20082000 career control the White House you control the Senate controlled the House you run what happened in 2010 Democrats got wiped out they had the power but they did not a liberal for the American people so what we have got to do what no no ifs buts it's how bad a chorus of agenda that says we all go slam that we have to act and act now and the reason Bernie saying that because he knows there's a good chance the house is in play and same thing with the Senate because we're a nation that doesn't like to see one side have too much power a lot of you know somebody just text me and said You think a Republican lever be president again so yeah probably Republican will be president it will be 4 years from now I don't know I said we also have very short memory in this country the pendulum swings the millennial generation is progressive generation z. Is showing they're a little bit more conservative and libertarian we will have a Republican president again at the end of the day right now Republicans are in disarray to figure out what they're going to do but you've got to figure out what they're going to do. But the Democrats know like like like all politicians Now look we've probably got 2 years to try to get some stuff through and then they're going to take some stuff away from us and it's going to be gridlock again that that's what's going to happen so we've got 2 years what are we going to get done trumping them got taxes done Obama got Obamacare it's kind of the way that these things roll out you get one big one and then well and then it's Oh we lost here We lost their little more of a red wave instead of a blue wave in the next thing you know you look up and you only need to have that balance but jobs are a huge thing right now and the difference between now and regular times when there isn't a disruption of coronavirus is what well right now with all the stuff a lot of things you'd like to put into play or at least you think you'd like to put into play she's not possibility is not a reality and it isn't so they'll take what they can take I think Biden will try to pull them back without overreaching realize you start to overreach you know how fast people can change so I'm not worried about whether or not we're going to be a socialist communist a country for those of you who believe that you're insane it isn't happening 323532423 Benson shows you Twitter tweet at us text the program speaking of money you know. How about this Tesla stock has been at an all time high today and because of that the lawn Musk just done seeded Amazon's Jeff Bezos to become the richest person in the world Musk's net worth above 100 $85000000000.00 base houses around $184000000000.00 incredibly must began 2020 worth about $27000000000.00 below names like Buffett Gates and sucker Berg but Tesla's incredible stock price increase over the last year has propelled mosque to the top yeah to the top now let's break down how much he makes just for fun this is absurd why then her you must is broke or or rich then make a difference you know somebody settlement $432000000.00 a day I'm going to say that again $432000000000.00 a day is what he made or in a $32000000.00 that is a lot of dollars right you're like oh my god so it's great that that 24 hours that's $800000000.00 Now that's pretty nice right and our $300000.00 a minute not bad must right so how did he get here it's all stuck right it's also I know this is realized my Tesla's money goes to 0 to if the stock up to 0 tomorrow right. Now worth anything cording to Bloomberg though he did unlock 3 tranches of stock in 2020 meaning he said hey look I'm going to take this stock and I'm a Yankee and I'm going to sell it off and actually have income where this is realized where it's in the bank he made 8800000000 realized that's pretty awesome that's a lot of money right there kids that's a lot of money. I think I does he own a house has some weird where you want to own house I mean move the taxes he was selling a lot of his possessions is an odd guy but you know what when you get to a point like that where you got that much money but on top of that when you get to a point where you're living in a world that's kind of your own. You start to I think get out there a little bit more smidge more just a smidge and you start thinking talking about things that other people just don't quite grasp 323532423 shows your Twitter tweet at us what's trumps legacy it's very interesting thing it's never too early to like football right the minute the Super Bowl is over they'll start talking about who's got Vegas to roll out who's the favorites for next year the minute it's over who's the favorites for next year who's the favorites who's going where everybody does that what's the legacy of such and such no that's just it what is Trump's legacy and how bad is it tarnished like Senator McConnell supported President from become close to the president personally I think this president has been consequential from a conservative point of view it's been an amazing 4 years in terms of judges securing the border a vaccine in records on the regulating the kind of the cutting taxes historic Mideast peace agreements the destruction of the Caliphate all on and on and on was tarnished by yesterday when it comes to accountability the president needs to understand that his actions are the problem not the solution Yeah he's got a mixed bag that's for sure he's got an absolute mixed bag his mixed bag is pretty simple commie was good I love the fact they roll back regulations I didn't like the way he handled some of immigration but I like the fact that he went at immigration when we do nothing and both sides have been complicit for decades the fact that he did pull our soldiers out he took on the caliphate. He held some people's feet to the fire especially in NATO who said hey you know what don't worry America do it China I think was a mixed bag there even now from what I'm hearing Biden is probably not going to pull some of those terrorist off those things are going to be sitting there for a while I think China thinks outs of easy by going to roll in here right away you know if we were fairly have this and you know we got him and his son in his pocket he pulls out now no shooting and I think people need to seriously look at China not just us but globally but then you've got the nonstop line you've got the insanity of what took place the other day which is I mean this is this is this is how you do it is like this is what people can remember in so many ways you've got to fight with the media non stop you've got the incessant tweeting non stop there's it's a mixed bag but if somebody asked me what would you give him. You'd have to break it down it's things look at the courts and he gets an a for the courts I give him like a c. For. Immigration not in a and it's not an act like some people like to give for unwise I think I give him a b. Truth I've given half hidden could go lower their lower one the way handle coronavirus I give him a d. And they would but he wants to paint everything on him but you get the vaccine you may even give him a c. They get the end of the day it's going to be a mixed bag but he himself I think a lot of people when they step back and go you know what the actions are one thing but him personally probably getting half to look at the whole thing but there are serious serious issues that will tarnish his legacy he had a chance to leave. In a much different way and because of what happened the other day not only does that hurt his legacy I think short term the chance of him being the kingmaker in the Republican Party is gone away and the chance of him running again probably in 4 years if he's healthy that's probably done 323532423 acts have been said shows your Twitter tweet at us text the program love hearing from every single one of you by the way tweeted out something stop being so serious Can we have that stop being so serious please let's talk about that 7th job.
