Every morning she places her signs out in the front yard and at night she takes the signs back inside her less than a week ago, anderson says she woke up to find her Hillary Clinton signs missing out of her front lawn. And its all because they may have deceived buyers into thinking their cars would get better for misrepresenting fuel economy ratings for some of their vehicles. Hyundai and kia will pay the state of iowa one pointfour Million Dollars to settle claims. The case involves vehicle and it affects one point two million vehicles in the us. In 2012, hyundai and kia restated the mileage on these vehicles after the Environmental Protection agency questioned their mileage numbers. The Companies Deny they broke the law. In all, the south korean automakers will pay more than 41 Million Dollars to 33 states and the district of columbia. The one point four Million Dollar payment to iowa will go to the states Consumer Education and 386thousand dollars. Thats how much money will be going to gas stations across iowa to help them incorporate Renewable Fuels. Here in eastern iowa, the music station in independence and the liberty express in North Liberty will get some of the money. In all, workers will install 15 new blender pumps and three underground storage tanks at seven stations in the state. The funding for these projects comes from the Us Department of agriculture. The iowa Renewable Fuels infrastructur e program to close its Readiness Center in algona next spring.
