Of minutes is Portland Police officers, Oregon State Police officers, the local Sheriffs Office boxed in the group of protesters that is right here in the heart of downtown portland. Thats where we are now. This is the demonstrations began about 5 00 pacific time. And they went all around the city. We saw them marching across some of the major bridges here in town. And we also saw a lot of vandalism, as well. So this was dubbed a peaceful protest. Really it was for most of the Portland Police bureau is calling an anarchist group. Thats what we kind of see out here now, this fringe element out here now dragging newsstands into the streets, lighting fires on top of these newsstands. Throwing glass bottles at officers from on the ground, and then from parking structures, as well here in downtown portland. Again, what was supposed to be a peaceful protest, 4,000 people presence now. This is the heart of downtown portland. They made arrests here just minutes ago. Theyve got the van here. Im assuming theyll be putting people into that van. All night, again, really just pure unrest. And this is by far one of the wildest and worst protests ive ever seen.
