This report is plenty of proof that the questions that have been asked repeatedly where legit and that the answers we were getting consistently were not, especially once you get past the line of, hey, are you a felon . As pitiful as it sounds, tucker, buzzfeed i think actually does deserve some credit acknowledging after four months, after it became totally untenable that the story in any way could be perceived as accurate, it finally came out within the past past 24 hours or so declared essentially that it had been retracted. I think, yeah, we do know now with almost absolute certainty that the story was not true because Robert Mueller came out and said come a quoting cohan that he had not been directed by donald trump to lie to congress. He had been instructed to cooperate. Not only the course pieces had e not true. As to the genesis of all this. But the thing to keep in mind with the broader trumprussian saga, trumprussia has come to more resemble an article of religious faith then a set of journalistic political or legal claims. And a religious faith, by definition, is not falsifiable for countervailing evidence can never undermine the core premise upon which believers arrest their faith. And so it goes for trumprussia, you have people at the Washington Post, gq magazine, all these people who are slobbering over one another after the Mueller Report congratulation one another on how wonderful of a job they did in covering the trumprussia saga. Its mindboggling and i dont know how to react at this point because they are not amenable to reason anymore. Its almost like they are in a church and they are chanting these, you know, excerpts from their holy texts. Not a genius, but a work at wrote a story that trump had been a russian agent for decades accompanied by this graphic that was so complex, it looked like a maze. Was that real, was he serious, and did anybody else say, thats a little demented, john, maybe bore back. After the barr letter was issued, wrote a followup piece saying i was right about that cover story published in july of 2018 asserting that donald trump had been colluding with russia not just in the 2016 election but since 1987. Tucker the cia and the fbi, intelligences are filled with smart, serious people. What do they think as they watch this guy defined the agencys reputation through this cable news hysteria . This is a fundamentally new phenomenon. For many, many years, the cia and elsewhere in the Intelligence Committee was the current and former officials kept their personal, political views at home. They werent expected to have political opinions, they kept it at home. Former senior officials who wrote memoirs wrote them in relatively objective kinds of ways, even when they had very, very difficult relationships with president s, so over time lots and lots and lots of examples in difficult relationships. Usually intelligent people said we are subservient here, we work for the president , we are going to bite our tongues, we are going to try to make this work. In 2016, you have a fundamentally different situation. You had a case where senior officials, i believe that mr. Mr. Trump is wrong on issues and im going in public to criticize them. Tucker thats an attack on democracy by definition because cia, every person in the executive branch serves at the pleasure to the one person voted by voters. This is potentially a deep state situation, a term being used for the first time in the u. S. In a political context, we talk about turkey and it tucker do you think its accurate . I think its an issue we should be thinking about. I dont have a firm view on that yet, but its to the point where we ought to be thinking. If democrats take over, why would they want an agency that shows itself to be willing to overthrow a president . Spew one last question. Since you know how much power these agencies have, doesnt make you nervous that they are so politicized . My main concern is that because its so critical for effective intelligence to enjoy the trust of senior decisionmakers, that fairly overt politicalization by both Senior Leaders and also apparently a number of people in the workforce is evidenced by comments by some of the leaders as well, that these people are damaging the trust of president s and the people, so what that means in essence is that weve got the potential for selfinflicted trust related damage. I can only think of one word to describe the Mueller Report, and that is mischievous. I really think the democratic proclinton bias comes out of this report, 13 out of the 19 prosecutors very strongly in support of hillary clinton. You know that by just reading these pages. I was on page 61 of this report where they recounted a russian named Henry Greenberg giving me a call and offering me dirt on hillary clinton. They went through this whole escapade and since it had nothing to do with russian interference, did they mention that Henry Greenberg had been an fbi informant for 17 years. They missed that fact in the report, and other things were hankie about the page on me and i got to believe as somebody who is marginal in this investigation, can you imagine the mischief they were up to with some of the star players . Tucker if you could just rewind, how could they not mention that . He was on the payroll of the fbi, but they just dont include that in a report . Are you sure . Absolutely. When i interacted with the guy and i saw how curious the barr reacted when we talked about it in my interrogation, i hired a o look into this guy, and you foud sworn affidavits in federal court in california where this guy came up as a 17 year fbi informant. He spent ten years in jail in russia, three years in jail in United States for gun crimes, he was only here on fbi informant visas. I actually have copies of 14 of those fbi informant visas off the democrat dossier.
