While we wont target taliban for the sake you just merely for the sake of the fact that they are taliban and, quote, unquon quote belligerence should members of the taliban decide to threaten american troops, or specifically target and threaten our afghan partners and atactical situation, were going to reserve the right to take action as needed. So that means that u. S. Troops cant fire upon taliban even if they see them Walking Around with bazookas and doing anything else. They have to lead them did . This is insane . They are in a very difficult and dangerous position. They are not allow to do make front line decisions based on what they perceive as a threat at the time. They have to basically phone back to the lawyers in d. C. And say can wor cant we. Is that true they have to call washington before they can shoot. Thats true. Passionate of our extraction from afghanistan. Al qaeda and isis is an enemy. They have no problem getting involved with them. We have drones in the sky that can detect taliban on the move. But they are our enemies. Absolutely. They clearly state that they are in the middle of jihad that al qaeda is their ally and that they want to establish an islamic elm rit in that entire area. However and we have discussed possible Peace Agreement with the taliban and now the idea that we have elm pawrld the Afghan Military its their job to go after the tall taliban. This is very untenable situation. Right now our troops 10,000 are in afghanistan with taliban trying to kill them. Yet, we cant attack the taliban unless they shoot first or there is some kind of impending thing and to get permission you have to call back to washington. You have to call somebody. Thats insane.
