>> we been very clear we don't believe the effort is concluded. the us government is going to continue to look for ways to try to help them find safe passage out of the country. i don't foresee a military role in that. >> was going to find safe passage for americans, the taliban, who? >> you want a highly trained seal team or marines, who know how to fire weapons, they dismiss the reagan peace through strength, you can get in there and achieve a lot more peace when you have guns with people who know how to fire those guns and speak the language of the taliban in their own language. that is what gets things done. you can't just go in with a social worker and say i think it's and everybody's best interest that we didn't allow these people to move along. that's not the taliban, that is just a farce and if you are on that end in that part of afghanistan can you imagine you watch that military plane leave, the president of the united states lied to you and said he was going to come get you and they didn't. >> the afghanistan -- the honor and confidence of opera salons in the military but you say this right in our military elite is the tip of the iceberg, that reflects something wrong with the country. what is wrong with our generals and the country. >> adopted a therapeutic idea that when we act as if we are magnanimous to someone like the tower man that they will reciprocate with gratitude is everything we know about the taliban and, enemies in north korea or throughout the world that are anti-constitutional or anti-liberal or anti-alignment they look at our magnanimity with contempt at as a sign of weakness to be exploited rather than to be reciprocated with kindness. we keep talking about working with the taliban and they have the same agenda we do to get out quickly, they don't. they want to humiliate us and kill us and defeat is as we leave and they did that tragically with 13 deaths. i wish the sermon on the mount governed military affairs but the people we're dealing with don't believe in the sermon on the mount and i don't know where this therapeutic culture started where i work in the university. it is not the tragic view of the world george marshall and george patton and admiral limits once held, a different breed than the current military establishment. >> thank you for being here. i am going to step aside, jason is going to take over for the evening. i will be back next week. >> get better. hope you feel better. i do appreciate it. we have all been there. is president biden on track to legitimize the taliban, where logan is here on the taliban's nuclear and what he could mean to our security plus what is the price tag of paying for all those refugees for the rest of their lives?
