Emily, lets begin with you. What do you find most irritating about thanksgiving . Emily nothing the notion that people already grumble going into it. Thats what i find irritating. Jesse is at the traffic on the travel . Emily but this year is the government overreach and the notion that the government can enter your home and a rescue or find you for having your family over. Jesse yes, Big Government is terrible, right, juan . Not if they are trying to protect me, but this is an interesting question, because it is one of those thanksgiving where you are like i like to those things that were irritating me. Traffic or my brother going crazy and overcooking the turkey, i hope he is not watching. I dont like dry turkey. But now i want have that to talk about. Dana the three day work week. I find that very annoying that you work monday now, it would be better if it was a whole week off. Working monday tuesday wednesday, and then being off thursday friday it throws me off completely. Jesse i have a feeling i know what irritates greg. Its the five holiday special shows that irritate you. Greg what did america really do . Are you with me . For me thanksgiving is nothing more than a protest and i take it out on the turkey. Jesse it looks like it. Greg thanksgiving rolls back all the progress i make on my diet and my savings. I end up having to because generally when i was younger i would save may be over a year 1500 when you were like young, well yeah, but in the 90s yet a flight home and that would just go to like gifts and flight. All the money i saved would go to that. And then i would be working out and maybe i would lose over the year like 7 pounds, it all comes back. So basically you spend ten months trying to do the right thing and then in four days you just blow it all. Other than that i love thanksgiving. Jesse i find it irritating on thanksgiving when my mother starts yelling to me about politics. She did not stop today at the table. Yelling and yelling about the recounts and the challenges. Mom, give it a break. Instagram question from steven 5511, what is the first thing you do when you get home from work . Lets go to greg, because we all know. Greg first so pull down the shades because i live in new york and i dont want them to know that im doing, because then they will call the police. I exercise. Jesse thats not true. It greg i do. After the show i put on my little peleton and on the floormat exercise i do a Upper Body Strength work out to balance the lower body. She has good music. So i break up the exercise so that i have more energized and you sleep better coming asleep better. Jesse because it sounds like you go home and eat right away. Greg i you think about food, but it takes a halfhour, so i can work out. Jesse you have it down to a science. Dana i have to go through the routine with jasper, he runs, he is excited. He gets the toy and then you have to sit on the couch for a few minutes so that he gets all the way goes out. And i do my exercises, some posture work for my new years resolution. I really needed to do it and i am glad that i have committed to that. Greg stop posturing. Dana and then i sit on the couch. Jesse i get home from work and then i watch myself on twitter and see all the highlights from the show. Juan that would aggravate you. Jesse i did well that sho show. Juan first thing is i take off the makeup. Greg i put more on. Jesse thats why you close the shades. Juan and you change mentality by changing clothes, so you put on relaxing close. Greg that was the whole thing between Mister Rogers, he will put on the sweater, remove the pans. That was not Mister Rogers. Jesse you have a Mister Rogers look going on. Greg i do. Jesse emily, what do you do at home . Emily i work at home, so its walking downstairs and have changing, but its a mix of everything here, i changed and i watch my game day footage and i walk my dog and i work out. So i do all that stuff. But when i am here in the city i usually go out and get something to eat. Jesse you go out. I have seen you out, emily. Instagram questions from john, what reality show would you be best on. Lets go to you, emily. Emily i feel like maybe what i would be worst on but i would love to be on is that adventure game where you are a partner with someone and you go around the world. I am horrible, but i love to travel. Jesse you would be dead wait. Emily i think that i would be amazing. Any reality show that had me traveling or exploring outside of the house. Not one of those things where you are trapped inside and not one of those things where it is like relationshipbased. Jesse we ask you what you would be on not would not be on. Juan, what about you . Juan that wouldve been my answer, thats what i would have done. It sounds like a lot of fun. I would be discovering the world. Jesse i think i would do some real world road rules challenge . You remember those shows from the 90s there was dating competition, i think i would excel. Dana like the bachelor . Jesse no. Dana i was going to say the amazing race because i would love to do that with peter. I think that we would be pretty good at that. I also think there was a show, it started in england and then came over here, what not to wear where you do a little makeover, is that a reality show . Jesse probably. Dana i would like to do that. Greg i was going to say to the amazing race but i thought that it was about race, you would do a different race, lets do the japanese, lets do the australians, are they a ra race . Dana i dont think so. Greg i dont think so. Im going to go with the obvious choice of which is naked and afraid. Emily, you have fewer outside, you dont have a map unless it is the cover page and then you have to survive naked and afraid, have you watched that show . Emily no. E. U. Greg i dont know, because i kind of watch the first couple of episodes of the crown but i found it very british. And i like Schitts Creek and you cant believe it, because it is the name of the show and the city. Juan i have heard good things about the mandelorian. So i thought i would get into it. The Hallmark Channel is totally amazing, but countdown to christmas it is movie after movie after movie about christmas. Its amazing. Juan i go home and i walk in and there are all these people watching countdown to christmas. And what they did was they were one aisle in the drugstore 30 years ago. Emily now it is an empire. Greg now it is an empire jesse they have come a long way, so we let matt have we. Juan im the baby and by far. My sister is 11 years older, my brother is nine years older. Dana you are almost in only. Juan it is a separate experience and for an immigrant kid it was totally separate, because everybody was speaking spanish, but i dont speak spanish. Jesse i know more spanish than juan. Juan there you go. Emily im the youngest also, it has informed everything. Like i think eternally the littlest sister. And sort of in this dynamic, thats why im use to like teasing and im super comfortable in that role having the older one always telling you what to do in guiding and all that stuff. Jesse yes, you do like to be too used. I am the big brother and i like to lord everything over my little sister. So i think thats about right. Dana isnt that obvious that i am the oldest. So i can go decade almost by decade which would be robert conrad, who was cornel west from wild, wild west. And then of course there was Steve Austin Lee majors, 6 million man. And what else . There was another one that i grew up with that well i will do that, they were always tv type people that i looked up to. Dana mine were from books, Pippi Longstocking i loved and i loved her Ingalls Wilder of course. And she was a great. Jesse sherah . Dana did you have a hero . First question from tomora, what is the strangest thing that happened to you in an elevator, dana . Dana at first i thought to nothing strange ever happens to me. But there was one thing and i wish that i could remember who it was, you know how across the street is that xm radio, so one time i went over there to do an interview, mightve been book related and i am in the elevator coming down and i did not even notice that there was apparently this very famous person in the elevator and he was there to sing a song, but he was parading his staffer. And it was so mean and so rude, and i did not know, and turns out he was somebody very famous. Greg yes, it was adam levine from maroon 5. He is terrible to his staff. Its disgusting what he says. Anyways, jesse, lets not talk about adam levine. This is supposed to be things giving. I dont know why you brought that up in front of me. Anything strange in an elevator . Jesse not strange, but embarrassing. Ten years ago in philly, i had done one of the man on the street. And i was in an elevator at a nice hotel and i go ahh, i need to book a massage and the guy behind me goes tough day waters . And it was like the governor of arkansas. I was really ashamed of myself. Dana it is tough work. Greg he could have given you the massage which would be amazing. Jesse now he is no longer in office. It greg that is the very reason why. A strange thing and an elevator . Juan i am a little bit claustrophobic. I grew up around bad elevators and public housing, its not good. So elevators freak me out in general, so i just want to get off. Just let me off. I make the sign of the cross. Greg you dont want to do that in an elevator. Trust me, i have learned the hard way. I know it is a holiday, producer in my ear. That means a lot of the kids wont know what im saying. All right, emily, what is the strangest thing that happened to you . Emily not that strange, but specific to here is that we have tvs in the elevators here, so if there is a replay and you are in the elevator watching yourself on tv, that sort of cool and interesting and strange, for me that was a totally new experience. Jesse sometimes i dont get off the elevator. I just keep riding. Dana do you remember a few years ago there was an earthquake in new york . I got on the elevator at lake floor 18 and i was coming down here to do the show, and while i was on the elevator there was an earthquake. I do not even feel it. Everybody else felt it but me. Greg i guess that can happen, somebody has to be in an elevator during an earthquake, why wouldnt it be you . Dana you are probably glad it was me. It greg i was, i hope she is in an elevator. Jesse have you been stuck in an elevator . Greg yes, i had to call the Fire Department and they knew me from my voice and were making fun of me outside the elevator. It is a tiny are really tiny elevator. Yes, very big for me. But i was in the elevator for 1e Fire Department. Thats how like freaked out i was, because i am also not agoraphobic, but juan claustrophobic. It greg claustrophobic. I cannot wait any longer so they made fun of me for a good 20 minutes. Emily did you guys see the m. Night shyamalan movie about to the elevator called devil and the whole thing takes place in an elevator. Jesse with the whole movie in one elevator . But emily, were you ever remember of a fan club . I expect you were. Emily i honestly cant think of one except for maybe three tickets to def leppard. But other than that just wine club. Heres a question for you, whats your best early memory of thanksgiving . Lets go to the ranch, dana. Dana yes, we would probably leave on we had to go to school monday, tuesday, wednesday, hence the three day thing. But we would drive up about six hours up to wyoming to the ranch. I remember that, but one time in colorado we were not able to drive up to the ranch because there was 14 inches down to the night before. So everybody on the street where we lived on elm street, they were all everybody was going to somebodys place for thanksgiving. And so my mom invited everybody over to our place, but you had three cranberries and two green beans, but no mashed potatoes, because somewhere else somebody was making mashed potatoes pretty so that sticks in my mi mind. Juan all right, so greg. Greg cubby, that was the name of the little chunky kid from the mickey mouse club. I dont have any memories, i just remember going to want to my moms sisters places, and he marries, and they had a refrigerator in the garage. You knowingly remember things . And when i think of them i think of a refrigerator, they had a refrigerator in the garage. Jesse isnt that great . Greg its the most amazing thing in the world. A soda pop, they had so much soda pop and weird stuff like tall bottles of rc, which was kind of strange, but i drink it anyway. It made me feel dirty inside. Emily i loved thanksgiving because we would all cook together. My mom and my dad would involve us in the recipes. So i remember that growing up, like making that individual ravioli and learning the famous turkey recipe where it cooks superfast, super hot. High heat. Thats a remember. Speech fully ranks greg the great recipe. Its called a microwave spewing i saved you for last, because im thinking that you and i might have something in common, because we were talking about wish vanquished bones, but thanksgiving football. Jesse we did have the turkey touch in philly where we would all play in the neighborhood and we would pass out these Little Turkey trophies to whoever scored the most touchdowns. I had a few. But i remember peeling chestnuts with my grandfather. So you boil a chestnut and then it is really hot and then you are basically scalding your fingers as you are peeling them, so it is a feat of strength. And i realize my grandfather was so good at it looking back because he was drunk. And he could not feel a thing. And he was just doing it like a man. Juan wow. Thats a great memory. Thats terrific. Wow. Okay. All right, so here is another question. This one from steven d, when do you work better . In the morning or the night . Keep going, jesse. Jesse better in the morning. I feel like a joke is coming about me in the morning. I already hear the them saying not true. But after i get up i worked really hard and better. Juan emily . Emily my first inclination was morning, but academic why is i would do my best work and it would be most focused at night. Im quoting that because because they are not as many distractions as during the day. Jesse what does at night mean. Greg this is a madefortv movie. Jesse at night. Greg i work all the time. So i worked nonstop. I write in the morning and i write at night. I guess bad in the afternoon around 5 00. [laughter] dana you have seen me on election night. My mornings i am much sharper. [laughter] i can get up easy in the morning, i wake up at 5 00 in the morning and i am ready to go. But you asked me to do a hit at 10 00 p. M. And i want to cry. Jesse you wouldve been great on fox friends. Juan im not sure what the answer is, because what i know is that if you are a current reporter, deadlines come 5 00, 6 00, 7 00 for different editions in the old days, so you train yourself to be on at that point. Somebody has got to do it. So i end up working and then you come back and people have been having a great time, or people are like, whats wrong with you . Why did you have to work . Thats not good. You shouldve gotten the day off. And im like jesse i cant believe we are working today. [laughter] emily do you have a disaster . Jesse not really a disaster, but i showed up to the wrong house on thanksgiving. I did not realize that it was at an aunts house, not a grandmothers house. So a lot of extra driving. Emily it was still a relative. Did you get a mom text . Jesse there were a few things. Juan your shot, you live in a rough neighborhood. Dana i am a total mooch. Ive never cooked an entire dinner with myself. One time when we had all of the orphans in d. C. Greg if they are not real orphans, what are they . Dana people who cannot go home for the holidays. We had them over. And i remember cooking that. Peter will probably say no. Greg you cooked orphans . Dana we could try it. Jesse cranberry sauce on the side. Emily greg. Greg what . Emily you have definitely had a disaster. Greg aside from that show . [laughs] this is great. I lived on one side of the country and my family lives on the other. Every couple of years i would do the i am the extra guest at somebody odd in my town because i did not fly back to do so those were like you had to risk, because you do not know the family to well of being invited to what is soon just to be a complete weirdo Texas Chainsaw Massacre around the table, which i cannot even talk about, because the people probably watch the show, but i was out like a dinner that was quite possibly the worst experience of my life. Because i went and they were like freaky, freaky people. Emily wow. Jesse im sure you made a great impression. A greg it was like get me the hell out of there and they do not have any booze. Jesse that was a disaster. Emily i had a total disaster.
