That all men are created equa equal. That they are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights, and among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. We now stand beneath the shadow of the nations capitol, whose golden dome reflects the unity and the democracy of one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Today we pray. The american tradition of transferring or reaffirming, immense power in the inauguration of the president of the United States. We do this in a peaceful, orderly way. There is no mob. No coop. It would remind me of what taft would have said and huey long would have said. It is a for those of us on the left, it was a reaffirming speech. It was one that, where he underscored what he has been saying all along. There is a place for government. Government does help a lot of people get places. We dont agree on that obviously, but dana do you think that has s what he has been saying all along . If you compare the 2008 speech to this one, its the same . Bob what i would say in this without sour grapes. In 2008 he tried to break across the gridlock and he didnt get anywhere so now he will go alone. Eric a lot of people on the right said he thinks he has a mandate because he was reelected. His speech sounded like i have a mandate for the next term, the next four years. He talked about gay rights and climb change. Weeping entitlement off the table. Equal pay and immigration. Those are things well hear in the next four years. It reads like a liberal agenda, top to bottom, i am going after it and getting it done. Too bad, you lost, i won. Looks like another victory lap. Dana we will get in sound bites later. The parade is still going on and the president and mrs. Obama, the girls are in the viewing area. So we will continue to show you that while we get thoughts overall. When you look at the family, give me your thoughts about that. Kimberly this is a happy moment for the obama family. I love to see the girls. They look beautiful and they are proud of their father as they should be. I thought michelle looked great, too. They behaved wonderfully. Which i think was awesome. This is the thing that drives me nuts about this stuff. How the media trots out the idea of division and unity. When, in fact, the people keep talk about the unity that created the division in the first place. Like finding out the guy that broke all of your windows owns the glass repair business. The media stoked the division and with class warfare and gun ownership versus the coastal, and women in the church, black conservative and regular black folks who arent conservative according to them. You walk the media talk about unity is watching ted bundy talk about romance. They dont know a damn thing about it. Weird. Eric can i jump in and agree with you 100 . There is an article i was going to hold this for later but an article written by john dickerson, the political news, the cbs political director. Powerful position. He wrote for slate magazine, i believe on friday or saturday. He used terms like obama must go for the throat of the g. O. P. He said they must pulverize the republicans, delegitimize his opponents, declare war on republicans. There is a picture. That is the. Guy hold on. That is exactly what greg just said. The media allows the left to divide and concur, that is what they have seen. Bob he didnt use the word. He didnt say entitlement need to be there for people who paid in there but he left it wide open and need to change it for people who are younger. My own prediction is Something Like a saving plan. Eric we would respond to climate clang knowing it would affect the children and the nurture generations future generations.
