Earlier this year, he said that he wanted to withdraw that guilty plea, but things changed in his favor just a few weeks ago when doj officials released handwritten notes by former fbi top brass. Looking to get him fired or prosecuted. Bill barr came out to say that he wanted to drop the case completely. All right. I would say about the way to look at it is death by 1,000 cuts. This case is not all about materiality or immateriality. It is not even about all of the discovery violations that took place on the back end of the prosecution that led to it blowing up. It is all fbi misconduct. You will have a lot of them talking about this is actually material. He should be convicted, he should stay convicted. But the reality is that it the overall picture of what jim comeys fbi was doing coupled with how peter strzok and jim comey and lisa page conducted themselves on this particular case. It was outrageous misconduct by the part of the fbi. Dana and so, the judge we will hear from him today. David said that it could take up to two weeks, but is there anyway the defense on the prosecution are now on the sinkings. Is there any way he wouldnt just let it go . He is going to dismiss the case ultimately. They basically would only refuse to dismiss it if it was some sort of a Harassment Campaign at the expense of general flynn, so dismissing it isnt harassment. I tell you what i suspect will happen. It will be a little bit about the ted stevens case. When the conviction was overturned and dismissed on the governments motion, and he held court, he will have a lot to say. Now that the Justice Department is involved, that is a development from friday. Over the weekend, the state has now asked the federal government to get involved. So, what does that mean . Does that mean that there is something additional here that the Justice Department needs to look at . Youre right. It is a new development, and they decided on mothers day, it seems like, to ask the United States attorney to take a look at the case. What is interesting is that they looked specifically into the handling of the assignment of the case. There may be some misdeeds going on and how the case was assigned or who had interfered with communications were having, released to the United States attorney, but we see that there will be at a deeper look into whether or not this was a hate crime. They will take a look at the case and make a decision. They will have to have some evidence. It is not simply because you have an africanamerican victim and a white shooter. There has to be something else. As to the first part, you may see an investigation into corruption, into violation of the office. Something like that, pending the possibility that there was a coverup. It was sloppily handled at a local level. This thing needs to be left out from the top down. Dana and so, adding to that, phil, you have taken a look at the District Attorney barnhill and his actions. What do you make of what he did there . I know that you have written an oped for foxnews. Com. Yeah, dana, i am afraid that i think dear barnhill himself needs a lawyer because the fbi is going to come knocking on his door. They are going to look at all the circumstances surrounding his environment, and they are going to start over there in glynn county before he was invited by the attorney general to do so. He is there in the immediate aftermath, giving his verbal legal opinion as to why no charges should be filed. But then if thats not enough, a few weeks later on his way out of the case before it goes to another d. A. , he drops this letter into the file, and im calling it a poison pill. It sabotages the next he is efforts to prosecute this case. He says things in that case that i dont think match the effects of the case. For example, he says that there was clear evidence of hot pursuit of a burglary. Thats not the case. What we saw in the video was maybe a trespass, misdemeanor trespass at that. Nothing that justifies being gunned down. The other thing that he says in there that i think he may have taken liberty was a as he says that there is use of force that was justified because the victim attacked the shooter. Well, the victim did attack the shooter, but only after he was shot. So he was shot first, and then he tried to disarm his attacker. So theres problems with that letter, and i think barnhill may have some tough questions to answer. Dana may be one last quick word from you, michael, about the fact that coronavirus has this closed or delayed. So how long my suspects being in jail waiting for some sort of action . They will have an initial bond hearing. I hope that bond will ultimately be denied, and that he will see lees 90 days or so before the case gets taken to a grand jury. There are some builtin time periods for them to take it before a grand jury before the bond is mandated, but i think you will see that they bring in folks and a reasonable time, and it will be sometime later, probably in the midsummer before they move forward with an indictment, and i think that you will see a true indictment. And so what were seeing is a significant amount of inflammation in the body, their blood vessels, and theyre coming in with high fevers, persistent high fevers, and a rash and upset stomach and vomiting. Sometimes we will get peeling of the skin. Some patients seem to have a very bright red tongue, and even some will have our rash on the palms of their aunt or the soles of their feet. Definitely something that we are seeing that is new. It mimics another kind of pediatric illness, which is important to be aware of. It can affect the coronary arteries on the heart and result in any reason. But the good thing this is fortunately rare. Dana yes. Rare, but however, for many weeks now, weve been told that children dont have really a lot of problems with coronavirus. Even though they may be spreading it around, but even that is in question now. So what should parents now and look for . Youre absolutely right. We are learning more about this virus every day. It affects everyone. Children all the way to senior citizens, but what we need to look out for his persistent high fevers, rash. If your child is not eating, if they are vomiting. They need to seek medical attention right away because this is treatable.
