The program, called highfive it friday, was a way for officers to engage with young people. Some parents didnt like it, and now the Police Department has ended the program. A sling on facebook concerns were shared that some kids might respond negatively to a group of uniform officers at their schoo school. It is western massachusetts, all people with multiple graduate degrees, theyve got the most pc police force in town, theyve never had a bad experience but you liberals, you never, its never good enough for you. If Law Enforcement wants to interact with the community better, both the Small Community and nationally, they should stop, i dont know, shooting unarmed citizens. There are so many things wrong with this, but the most glaring is that a room full of adults caved to a small number of parents who are teaching their children to be afraid of cops. Why should you teach your child to be afraid of Police Officers, when there not only necessary but a group of the best people to represent the country i think you should teach her children to respect Law Enforcement, but Law Enforcement can be dangerous.
