They wanted him to get on board with secretary Clintons Campaign for the presidency, and i think one of the other key factors is, exit polls from 2016, about 14 of Bernie Sanders supporters in the democratic primary switched over and voted for President Trump and the general election. So theres a pocket for those key bernie supporters that are with him until they are not and democrats need to make a strong play for those voters. Andy, i want to start with you. Im a bit baffled why democrats are so enthusiastic about forcing witnesses to impeach senators. It seems like a terrific way to end up with hunter biden in the chair. Andy . Ive always thought that the tripwire is having witnesses. Anybody who thinks that with all this caterwauling about witnesses, you will get bolton and that will be at or you will get mulvaney and that will be at, its crazy. You will either have a situation where the case gets argued out and there is a motion to dismiss or if we have witnesses, its going to look more like a fullblown trial which means that democrats will get their witnesses and the president and the republicans will get theirs. Then its off into the unknown. Shannon it is. In the meantime, Speaker Pelosi held onto the articles were about three weeks plus or minus and it looks like they will officially land in the senate this week. In the meantime people are asking what she got in the bargain because there are plenty of people praising her. Under this New York Post headline, it says the media gives nancy pelosi a free pass. The question is why does the washington media give the speaker free pass . Or impeachment gambit has flopped. She is unified republicans President Trump in an election year, electrified his base and allowed him to run again as an outsider. Quite a feat for a sitting president and its taking in swing state polls. You saw Speaker Pelosi making the rounds on the sunday shows and what she said is the president was given her in the Democratic Caucus no choice. And they were led down this path because they need to hold the president accountable. Its not necessarily a gambit for the speaker but the box that she was forced to be in because of the president s actions for the ukraine. But why about the three weeks . The senate gaveled back in tuesday so it was really only delayed a week with christmas and new years. It was really just delayed a week in terms of the senate calendar. I think she made the calculus that more and more people are now weighing in after the holidays based on witnesses testifying in the senate, you see 65 of republicans now in recent polls with the Washington Post saying we want to see that top aides and thats the only thing that they are seeing in terms of a win for Speaker Pelosi. There are a number of republican senators who are publicly talking about the fact that we need to somehow structure in these trial were comic rules or guidelines and have the option. But we will have an opportunity to hear from witnesses. Theyve got to hold the caucus together almost entirely, and stick with 51 votes to get want things through. That has to include. Not necessarily. We have to see how this was played out once the article was delivered and the Mitch Mcconnell will have to take stock of his managers. Not even the democrats know at this point and at that point i think republicans will have to get their act together. One of the things i happen to believe is there should be a motion to dismiss like there is an criminal child mike trials once the articles have been re read. If the house didnt feel it was necessary to infect indict or impeach the president then why is it necessary for the senate to clean up the mess of the democrats. You can see the carrots there, they dropped 4600 pounds of carrots, Sweet Potatoes and water to help these local wallabys because their habitat is destroyed. They are unable to search for food and they hope that this will sustain them until they can get back on their feet, if you will. Experts are saying that about 100 endangered species are being threatened by these fires so every little bit counts and they say they will continue to do these food drops.
