We are talking about major cities like new york and baltimore. Chicago, denver, houston, atlanta, miami, San Francisco, los angeles. Those targeted have already had their day in court effectively, guys. Their claims have been denied. They have been ordered removed from our country and they have simply ignored the law. What materialized is a lot of counter demonstrations here in chicago, members of the hispanic community, supporters and people opposed to immigration crackdown attended mass at Saint Agnes Church and little neighborhood. Local alderman Community Leaders Teaching Community members what they can do what they can do if Law Enforcement shows up. Lookouts in the neighborhoods. Elected leaders promised they would not cooperate with federal agents. We will make sure that our Police Department cuts them off and continues to cut them off databases. You were one of the first democrats to say that what do you make of the situation down there now and whats happening in congress . Well, i think that the Vice President s visit recently this past weekend down to rbg shows American People what we have a fullblown crisis at the southwest border. I was actually with a few individuals who actually are proponents of bringing cameras in and bringing additional congressional visits down there to actually show the truth of whats going on down there at the southwest border. Brian Lindsey Graham let a caudill down there. Not one democrat took him on the offer to go with him. He went down there and saw it and saw what we expected. We were down there two months ago at the invitation before you got the job of Kevin Mcaleenan because he wanted to show people how desperate everything has become. But no one has done anything except write one check where we are going to hit another crisis point. Thats exactly right. What they saw down there were two things is one is that we showed we have been asking for the supplemental for a long time from congress. For months they sat on their hands to be able to get the kids and family out of the Border Patrol Holding Facilities where they didnt belong. What congress showed i was right there with the Vice President and senator graham and other members of coddle. Showed unbelievable effort of cbp and other agencies to take care of these families and these kids. One is isis priorities are always going to remain criminal aliens. Those people here illegally and committed additional crimes against american citizens. But, also, what we need to do to support the rule of law and maintain integrity in the system is we have to go targeted enforcement against individuals who had due process and received a final order of removal from a judge and they still remain here illegally. We have to go after those individuals and enforce the rule of law. Steve so rather than a time frame of you are going to sweep everybody up in one day. 2,000 have been targeted and eventually ice will do their best to go ahead and try to pick them up. Thats exactly right, steve. Again, ice does this every single day. They are doing their job. Statutory mandated mission to enforce the law. Again, i dont like the word raid. These are targeted enforcement action against those criminal aliens final order of removal and still refuse to comply with that and remain here illegally. If you look back at the Obama Administration, when you were with that administration, fiscal year 09 to fiscal year 16 there were more than 3 Million People apprehended. 3 Million People i will apprehended.
