With you. Good afternoon. Good afternoon. President trump has just landed here in North Carolina, traveling with the secretary of health and human services. One person definitely not traveling with him is robert obrien, who has just tested positive for the coronavirus and has become the highest Ranking Member of the Trump Administration to do so. And in a sign of just how serious this has become for other Senior Administration officials, this morning, larry kudlow was wearing a mask on camera while speaking to reporters. I see with great clarity though way to get out where they are kind of pausing their reopening is to go back to basic fundamentals that deborah birx and Anthony Fauci have been arguing, and incidentally, they are on it. So, ive been saying it a lot. Ive been wearing my own mask much more. You guys are doing it out here, and i respect that. And the president said that he has not seen his National Security advisor lately. He said he would be calling him soon, and he sand he said all te was leaving the white house for North Carolina just about an hour ago. Listen here. We are doing well on vaccines and on therapeutics, and now im heading to North Carolina. So, in a few minutes, President Trump is going to be touring the biotechnology appear they are manufacturing key components of a covid19 vaccine candidate as part of operation warp speed. Part of their effort to expedite a vaccine by january 2021. It is a pretty aggressive time frame. There are still so many questions about a vaccine candidate. His safety, efficacy, and the way it will be distributed. He will have some very good news to tell while he is down here in North Carolina with a biotech company, u. S. Biotech company, but theyr they have started injecting this vaccine candidate into the very first of about 30,000 american volunteers. Bill thank you, kristin fisher. You can see air force one touchdown there. We will see the president and a matter of moments here. We do expect comments in addition to the tour that we just talked about this biotech facility there in north caroli North Carolina. While we await all of this now, there has been violence over the weekend. Demonstrations in portland continued. Police say they found a bag with a loaded rifle and molotov cocktails. We report from seattle again today on what is happening. And good afternoon its. And beyond, bill. There was a very clear escalation over the weekend across the country, the drip scribing the chaos with the callout on social media for other cities to join them. We are talking about use liberation front and nt five. They were at it again. Federal agents protecting the courthouse at them with tear gas repeatedly, one man was shot near the courthouse appeared in seattle, protesters set several arson fires. They also attacked the police precinct, blowing a hole and a web panel. Body cam video also shows the assault on the police with fireworks. This went on for several hours. 59 officers were injured. They did make 47 arrests. [gunshots] gunshots rang out in aurora, colorado, and austin, texas, as motorist got tangled up with protesters in both cities. An armed protester was shot and killed as he approached the car that had just driven through. The driver has been arrested. There was also a courthouse that was set on fire, and armed militia and louisville were accidentally shot. Chicago is also violent. 39 nonpurchased related shootings, and all 51 people shot, three of them were killed. Bill speechwriter for president george w. Bush, and on the brazil, both are fox news contributors fear to both of you, this is quite a turn from the peaceful riots that we have been watching. So, portland, 60 days and running. Seattle has been a couple months. Chicago has been ten years of gun violence on the weekends. I would draw a contrast. One of the things i was remarkable about the john lewis funeral, especially yesterday, was how the Alabama State police accompanied him across the bridge, which was such a symbol of how the country has changed since Alabama State troopers bashed is that in in 1965. John lewis practice peaceful nonviolence, peaceful protests to achieve goals. Today, we have the opposite. We have Police Officers we still have racist police, but the police are not racist. Most of them are good people who would probably accompany him across the bridge. Then a Federal Building that is being bombarded by violent protesters, and our kids. They are shooting commercial grade fireworks into these buildings. They are blinding people with lasers. They are throwing concrete up peoples ads, and showing enormous restraint and how they are handling it because if they werent, there wouldnt be anybody in the streets after 60 days. It is just a fascinating contrast how things have switched, where before the police were the aggressors with john lewis, and today, its the protesters who are the aggressors. Bill just reflect on that for a moment. Do you think about how long this has gone on. There appears to be no end in sight now. Well, first of all, lets not exaggerate whats really happened across as country. Cities, small and large, we see Peaceful Protesters really trying to work with their government, work with their local police to bring about change. Thats important to understand. Whats happening in portland, whats happening in seattle, and of course, mark made a point about the gun violence we have seen in cities like chicago, that we want to bring that to an end. We need to ensure that our state and local officials are working before we inject even more tension into those two big American Cities out west. But bill, by and large, the majority of people who have taken to the streets, taken to city hall, on zuma and other messages, they are peaceful, they want change. They want to Work Together to bring about that change, and i draw the line on those who are out there, whether they are from the right or from the left, who are instigating violence as a way to drop their platform. This is wrong, and we should speak out against it. Bill if ive got it right, the federal response, by and large across the media, they are suggesting that the federal response is the reason why there has been this violence. Which is ridiculous. No, no, thats not what im saying i agree. Mark and i agree weve got to make sure that the governors, that the mayors, they were together. The attorney general of oregon is trying to remove the federal government. The federal government wants to protect federal property, thats fine, but work with the state and local officials so that we dont bring out attention to the streets. Bill on that point, go ahead. They dont want to work with donald trump your thats the problem. I appreciate what donna just said about drawing a distinction between Peaceful Protesters, which there are millions of them who have marched recently, and the violent people, but the problem is the other side doesnt tend to do that when it comes to donald trump. Whenever he criticizes the violent anarchist, they say he is criticizing Peaceful Protesters, when hes not. You just had jerry nadler, the chairman of the judiciary committee, who should be most briefed on what is happening, who said that the violence was a myth. It is not a myth. It is important, we have all got to come together and support the president in pushing these local officials to take federal help to crack down on these violent protests. Bill ted wheeler called them an occupying force. They tried to burn a building down. They compared them to stormtroopers. Well, look, guys, false narratives around these two cities need to be changed. We need to ensure that local and government officials are held responsible and held accountable to protect the citizens of their community, but also to get Law Enforcement officials to Work Together. We should not have two forces working against each other. We should all try to come together so that those who are marching peacefully will be able to do so, and those who are committing the violence, and those who are trying to do something different, well, you know what to do. You will be arrested. Bill is not even august. Its going to be a long one. Nice to see you as well. Weve got some breaking news. The ag bill barr will testify. We expect him to face some tough questions about portland and other cities. Judiciary committee will hold that hearing, and we will talk about topics and questions on that at a moment. Otezla. Show more of you. Bill sent to tour this biotech facility in North Carolina. Developing a covid19 vaccine. We expect to hear comments in a matter of moments here, followed by an update on ppe and testing, and also, we will get questions from reporters. We will bring that to you as soon as i gets underway. We are waiting for Senate Republicans to release the framework for the next covid 19 relief bill. Republicans are planning to reduce the extra benefits from 600 a week down to 200, but any plan would also have to get through the house, where democrats have their own proposal, and its a doozy. Speaker pelosi saying that she will delay the recess. Member of the house judiciary committee. Certainly nice to see you. We may get interrupted. We may not. We will see how much we get do done. What can pass in this congress today, sir . Youre going to have a real tough time getting anything passed right now. I think what you will see is our shortterm bill to extend some unemployment benefits. The question is what will that look like . Will Senate Republicans want to make sure that you dont get more then you would get if you are gainfully employed . They will put some kind of cap on it. That may be we may be able to get Something Like that in regards to some additional directions. You might get some repurposed thing of the trillion dollars that hasnt been spent on the last bill. Dont be surprised if you see a bill thats kind of a piecemeal product, so you have something that you think you can agree on upfront, and you save the heavy lifting for later. I mean, things like that Product Liability or the Liability Protection program that needs to be there. Thats really important to the republicans. The democrats dont want that at all, south that will really get that part settled bill im seeing 1 trillion. That has already passed on the house side. How do you bridge those two when youre talking about about trillions of dollars . Well, i think you are going to have a real tough time because i think that number, last i heard, has already gone out. So i never have understood why you started out what you think is your best position and go up from there. We are going to see probably 28, 29 trillion of National Debt by the time this is through bill you okay with that . Oh, heavens no. I think that is irresponsible on our part. I think you have to do things like the payroll Tax Deduction a holiday. I think thats important. Thats something that we can live with, and i think that would be something that would actually provide an immediate incentive for everyone. And so thats kind of what you are looking at now. Bill let me get to ag bill barr. You will be in the room tomorrow. You never know if youve got the connection or not. There is a long list of things im certain democrats want to know from him. What about you . We want to know what is going on with the german investigation. That is important. I think you can give us a certain time frame and some report on that. I dont think hes going to give as much. I think that what you will see is a lot of attacks. I think you are going to see a lot of time for the republicans to say would you like to respond to the attack that was just made on you . Theres going to be a lot of theater there, but i would like to know things like section 215 has actually been expired for four months, what are they doing . Lets clarify that a little bit. I think the fact that our chairman has basically said that antifa is a myth, we probably have to let ag barr come here and give us a History Lesson because antifa is no myth, nor is the violence and the impact of what we are seeing in portland and seattle in places like this. Bill thank you for your time. Republican from arizona. We mentioned this a moment ago, another weekend of violence. Also, the back and forth between beijing and washington over each others consulates. Live report from the state department on that as we await the president in North Carolina. Just because of an accident. Cut is that good . No you were talking about allstate and. I just. When i. Accident forgiveness from allstate. Click or call for a quote today. From senior white house officials a short time ago, they say it is the fast is vaccine to get to phase three for the new pathogens, so standby for that. We will take questions on that coming up in North Carolina. Another bawdy weekend. Seven killings yesterday alone. Police and one of the victims was a 16yearold boy who died when he was shot in the hat outside of a park in brooklyn. No arrest made in that. New york city mayor bill de blasio saying that the city is facing a perfect storm and that courts need to reopen to start moving on Violent Crime cases. 59 shot over the weekend. However, that is the lowest number. More from mike tobin here today. While officials know that you did have the decrease in gun violence, you are still talking about 59 people being shot. Three people were killed. Those shooters for that gang are aware of the surge of federal crime fighters. That is playing a role, he believes, in the decrease in gun violence. The superintendent knows that his officers were able to cover more of the troubled areas over the weekend. That comes with the creation of some new citywide teams, created with a focus on partnership and the troubled communities, and there will be a big public eve event. One thing they know it is that the riots on large demonstrations become contributing factors because they dry resources that would otherwise protect the troubled neighborhoods. Significant resources in downtown, that means that the violence does not get what they deserve and need and want. Once again, the gun violence made its way out of that area where the violence is common. A man was shot in the wealthy neighborhood, found unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds. He was very near the w hotel. In fact, the w hotel had a shattered window, apparently from a bullet. Police do not have a suspect yet. Bill i want to bring in the former federal prosecutor to talk more about this. You worked on this chicago matter years ago. What did you learn about that . I learned that its a mess. Chicago has had longstanding problems. It did not all start with this mayor or prosecutor, although they are not helping the situation. They have always been kind of allergic to going after the gangs and a comprehensive fashion. Only in very recent years were they ever bringing rico cases against gangs. Thats literally something from maybe three or four years ago for his state that has been dealing with it for decades. They have been reluctant to do the bread and butter work of doing federal gun cases where you can basically build cases against so were his guys without having to deal with your witnesses showing up. So they are a dime a dozen and a lot of big cities. They have had a lot of success in curbing the crime rate, but they have been more inclined to believe that you the cook county states attorneys office. Bill do you think the insertion of the federal authorities can help there . Absolutely. There is a resource issue tied to this. Their morale is probably as low as you can get. Maybe new york rivals it, but its pretty low in chicago. Theyve got a u. S. Attorney who is trying to make changes, while the americans is announcing that chicago is a victim of its neighbors. Bill sorry, who are the neighbors . Jim, who are the neighbors . Northwest indiana. You got a lot of suburbs in chicago where Lori Lightfoot would say they are supplying the guns, but really those cases were proxy cases to get to the leaders in chicago. Believe me, it has been there for many years. And it has spread like a cancer across to other neighboring states. Bill have you got a theory to what is going on in seattle and portland . They are still living the summer of love. They have talked about how great it was going to be, so that kind of fizzled into disgrace with the murders. Youve got federal agents, not federal troops, not stormtroopers, but federal agents trying to protect federal property with no support from the leadership. Its really a horrible situation where they are getting injured by the dozen, and all they are hearing from the leadership is that they are somehow political toadies for the president or stormtroopers in the middle of the night. They are trying to protect the federal courthouse bill do you see this ending, jim . Its hard to know. At some point, maybe protesters will go back to their mom and dads basements and go back to school or something, but again, these are demonstrators anymore. This is crime. These folks are emboldened by leadership not stopping them in actually promoting their images of federal Law Enforcement officers as being nazis. Hopefully, somehow, they will get worn out. Bill those answers would seem to suggest the position you have taken. Do you believe that . If you are willing to characterize the u. S. Marshals as a stormtrooper or of nazi, you are signaling the people out there not to demonstrate but to be lawbreakers. These guys should be your targets and keep going with arson and pointing lasers and throwing frozen bottles of water at people or bricks. All of the behavior that we are seeing is slowly escalating, and it is with the approval of the left wing leaders. Bill the former federal prosecutor, you have seen a lot, jim. Thanks for coming out today. Bill as we mentioned, President Trump is about to take part in his covid breathing. We will take you there live when it begins. Also, handling the pandemic and targeting a key group of voters. And the Worlds Largest vaccine trial kicks off today. How this could be significant in the long fight. Next. What happened daddy . Well, you see here. Theres a photo of you and theres a photo of your mommy and then theres a picture of me. But before our story it goes way, way, way back with your great, great, great grandparents. See this handsome man, his name is william. William fell in love with rose and they had a kid. His name was charles and charles met martha. Isnt she pretty . Yeah. The open road is open again. And wherever youre headed, Choice Hotels is there. Book direct at choicehotels. Com. Bill lets drop in to get an update on operation warm sleep. President trump it has officially entered phase three already, and that is phase three Clinical Trials. The final stage before approval. Theres never been anything like this in terms of speed. Nothing even close. The second vaccine is likely to enter phase three in a matter of days under operational warp speed. We have shaved years off of the time that it takes to develop a vaccine. In some cases, many years. I am don we have done it while maintaining safety. This is that fast for a novel passagpathogen. If you look at where we are by phase three, we could say for additional promising candidates are expected to enter final trials in the coming weeks. Being developed right here at this facility. Its an incredible facility. We will be making a tour in a little while. A very complete tour of the folks that run it and the people that operate who just completed tour of the innovation laboratory. That is going to be much higher level. We will take a few questions, which we are carrying out a crucial biome manufacturing. This is made possible by my administrations 1. 6 billion award as part of operational warp speed. It lets us develop the final product in no way that has never been achieved anywhere at any time for anything like this. They use same Manufacturing Processes are being conducted on an even larger scale in college station, texas, today. Im proud to announce that hhs has just signed a 265 Million Contract. The innovation center, which is quite the plutus to dramatically expand their capacity. I want to thank the ceo for welcoming us today. Martin, where is martin . Thank you very much, martin. Being with us in these circumstances with all the progress that is being made, as well as the novavax ceo. Thank you very much for being here. Thanks also to secretary alex azar who is with us, secretary tom tillis. Thank you very much. Thank you, tom. Stand up, tom. Good job you have done. You really have. Representatives richard hudson, david rouser, mark walker, dan bishop. Thank you all. All friends, all warriors. Lieutenant governor dan forest, who i hear is doing a great job. Stand up. Great job. Really good pure North Carolina House Speaker tim mori. Thank you, tim. Great job. And president of the North Carolina state senate, phil berger. Thank you very much. I appreciate it. Operational warp speed is funding a historic portfolio of highly promising vaccine candidates, and in addition to our 1. 6 billion investment in novavax, weve issued a 483 Million Contract with moderna, a 1. 2 billion contract with astrazeneca, 465 Million Contract with janssen, and a 1. 95 billion agreement with pfizer. Tremendous work being done with all of those companies. The groundbreaking agreement with pfizer is guaranteed to deliver 100 million doses shortly after the vaccines approval. Almost immediately. With the option to purchase an additional 500 million thereafter. Not only is operational warp speed accelerating the development of the vaccine. We are also directing a colossal industrial mobilization to ensure its rapid delivery. Nothing has happened like this since the end of world war ii. Instead of the usual sequence of vaccine development, testing and trials, followed by production, our strategy is to conduct these phases simultaneously, so everything goes at one time. We are not waiting and waiting and waiting. Its all going out one time. We have a system that has i think it is unparalleled. Never been done before, but we suspect it is going to work and work very well. We are massproducing all of the most promising vaccine candidates in advance so that on the day one that its approved, it will be available to the American People immediately and will probably have a lot for a lot of other people throughout the world. The world is suffering from this china virus. Another is to focus on therapeutics to treat the virus. Over 140 Clinical Trials are underway, and a number of effective therapies have been developed. It is having a tremendous impact. You see that with mortality rates and other things statistically. Antibody treatments. We have numerous treatments right now that are under study, and i think over the next three weeks, we may actually have five very positive answers as to that. We announced a 450 million agreement with regeneron, which is currently in late stage Clinical Trials. Late stage. Due to the medical advances weve already achieved and are increased knowledge and how to treat the virus, the mortality rate for patients over the age of 18 is 85 lower that it was in april. Think of that. 85 . And 25 lower than europe as a whole. In the middle of april, more than 22 of all deaths in the United States were attributable to the china virus. In the last week, that number has dropped down. It has dropdown to under 7 . To decrease the turnaround times and testing, the first two laboratories have been approved to provide testing, very important. Samples from multiple patients are processed together. They are pooled now, that will reduce turnaround times by more than substantially more than 50 . Last week, our centers for medicare and Medicaid Services began distributed rapid points of test. To all of the Nursing Homes in the United States. Focusing on the areas of greatest need, which is our elderly and our Nursing Homes. What we have already sent includes testing instruments to 635 million homes for 196,000 rapid pointofcare tests. It is a tremendous amount. You will get your response and answer from five to 15 minutes. 1,700 Nursing Homes will receive an additional 800,000 pointofcare tests. Think of that. The United States has conducted over 32 million test. Thats more than all of your put together times too. Nobodys even close. And as countries go, it is as an example, india is up to 11 million tests. We are going to be very shortly at 55 million test. India has 1. 4 billion people. Through our relentless efforts, we completely rebuilt our stockpile, which the Previous Administration depleted and not refilled. The cupboards were bare. We have now distributed nearly 100 million n95 masks. 35 million surgical masks, 15 million face shields, and much, much more. In addition to that, ventilators, the most difficult thing of all. We are now building thousands a month, and we are distributing all we need in our country, but other countries that are desperate. Other countries are having a tremendously difficult time with the virus. Last week, fema sent additional protective equipment to Nursing Homes, including 643,000 pairs of protective eyewear, 7 million masks, 34 million pairs of gloves, and 6 million gallons. Thats a lot. Over the weekend, cases in florida, texas health study and are now heading down. In arizona, they are heading very substantially down and rapidly. We have been in constant communication with the states and are surging resources when requested. They largely had what they needed, but anything they need, we send them immediately. We have everything we need. We get it to the states immediately. We deal with the governors. The relationship with the governors has been very good. These states are not out of the woods, but rigorous compliance with guidelines allows them to turn the corner very, very quickly. We are working with every governor and Health Commissioner across the country to bring a complete individualized analysis to each state as well as tailored recommendations. States are different. My administration is also closely monitoring the surging caseload in latin america, which is now the region of the world with the most active reported infections by far. Due to the relative scarcity of testing in latin america, however, the reported number of cases is also likely to be dramatically under caught undercounted, and i can say thats probably true throughout the entire world. We report our cases. Most of the world doesnt appear they dont do testing, even though people are sick, or they just reported. Given the reality of what we just said, we are focusing aggressively on the texas border and countries that we think have to be watched very, very carefully because you have some very, very highly affected countries outside of our borde borders. Ive spoken with governor abbo governor abbott, terrific gentleman, and i can report that over 3,300 federal personnel are on the ground in texas. Weve given them a tremendous amount of extra help, including doctors, nurses, frontline people. Weve supplied texas with more than 2. 5 million gloves, 800,000 goggles, 337,000 surgical gowns, 1. 3695 million respirators, and half of a million masks. Beginning this week, texas hospitals will receive 500 cases of remdesivir, which is enough to treat many patients. In addition to the border spre spread, the stage of the pandemic is being fueled by younger americans who generally have little risk of being seriously harmed by the disease but can spread the disease. We need all americans to be conscious about their actions and to exercise extreme vigilance. I trust all americans to do the right thing, but we strongly advise everyone to especially, especially focus on maintaining a social distance, maintaining rigorous hygiene, avoid large gatherings and crowded indoor bars, and wear masks when appropriate. We also strongly encourage citizens to take extra precautions to shield those at higher risk, which are in many cases, the elderly. Especially the elderly with medical problems, such as diabetes, but you want to shield them and protect them and got them from the virus, especially, especially those that are targeted, you could say targeted by this horrible, horrible play, this horrible epidemic pandemic. America will develop a vaccine very soon, and we will defeat the virus. We will have it delivered in record time, and i want to thank all of the people and representatives from the great state of North Carolina. This is a great this is a great place. This is a phenomenal place. And we have had so many great meetings and such a great time. I want to the drive and tenacity of your representatives in your politicians has been incredible. When they call them there, when they call many of them are sitting here right now, i will always answer the call. So thank you very much. I appreciate you being here with us, lets get on to a few questions. Tremendous progress has been made, and its been made rapidly and has been made in areas that nothing like that has taken place before, so please, thank you very much. Thank you. [applause] thank you. When it comes to the virus, it is today about giving americans help . Sense of optimism . Speaker pelosi i think so President Trump i think so if youre just before i left the oval office, we had a meeting with some others, and they are making tremendous progress, with respect to therapeutics. I can tell you therapeutically, i think we will have some really very good things to say. Just having great answers. It is about that, and it is also the vaccine that we discussed today at even greater length, that is just coming along really well. Its not just one company. Its Many Companies that have had tremendous progress. I will be announced. Ive heard very positive things, but we think that we are in very good shape to be doing it. In terms of the vaccine. Therapeutics, meaning you going you give somebody, whether it is transfusion or shots or whatever it may be. And they heal. They heal quickly. We have made tremendous progress. You look at some of the other things. We will have some announcements over the next few weeks. It is all, but only because we have gone such incredible results scientifically. Did you talk with russian president vladimir britain, and i wanted to ask, if you did bring it up, russia having bounties on our soldiers . President trump we have plenty of discussions, and i think it was very productive. Please. Showing signs of moderating, do you think, given what we are seeing, that economic recovery could be in jeopardy . President trump i dont think so. It has been very strong. We have set a record numbers. I think it is going to be very good. If therapeutically we come up with some answers very quickly, which i think we will, then we are going to have tremendous recovery. Likewise with the vaccine, that is ahead of schedule, substantially ahead of schedule, and it is ahead of everything that has ever taken place here. So if just one of those events happen, you will go right back into math, and i think you probably are anyway. I do believe that a lot of the governor should be opening up states that they are not opening, and we will see what happens, but that will have to do with the fact that therapeutically, you will have some great answers. Please, go ahead, and the back. Now that you have canceled, do you think the governor made the right decision . President trump well, we actually coming to North Carolina, as you know, and i guess i would be the nomination night. That will be monday. And the rest we will do in a different form. We could have done it in many different ways. We will be having a piece of up, a very important piece in North Carolina. Yes, please, go ahead. Your for numbers have suffered because of your handling of this, what is your plan Going Forward to prove to americans President Trump i think the poll numbers are very good. The numbers we have a very good. We are leaving in North Carolina. We are leaving in pennsylvania. We are leaving in arizona. We are leading in arizona. We are leading nicely in florida. I think our poll numbers are very good. We are leading substantially in georgia. We get a lot of suppression poles, just like we have fake news. Its a terrible thing when you look at it, but i have the same thing four years ago. I was losing everywhere. I handed up winning every one of them. The swing states, i wasnt going to win any of them, but i won all of them. This year, they have it even closer. But it is the same suppression type of polls. It shows me leading an almost every swing state, and substantially and other states by even more than i won an 16. When you look at florida, you have thousands of votes out of the ocean, on the intracoastal. You look at other states. You have thousands of votes, and they are all waving the trump sign, the trumppence sign. You have bikers for trump, with signs miles long on weekends. There is more spirit now than there has ever been for my campaign, and that includes 2016, where obviously there was great enthusiasm. We had great spirit. I think there is more today because what we have done, nobody has ever done before. Nobody has ever rebuilt the military, cut taxes the most in our history, created the greatest economy weve ever had, cut regulations at a level that nobody has ever done, and all of these different things. We got va choice. We got va everything for the va pure and right now, 91 Approval Rating and a reason poll. I was just speaking to the secretary. 91 . Thats never happened before. I think when people see all that we have done, even space for us. We created a forest. An actual army navy, air force, marines. Its pretty amazing. Coast guard. Now, spaceports. That hasnt happened in 75 years. What weve done, working with some of those warriors over there, but will we have done has never been done. Building perhaps the biggest drilling site in the world. Even Ronald Reagan and bush and clinton, everybody wanted to get it done. I got it done. Possibly the biggest drilling site in the world. What we have done has been incredible. Recently, it looks like the Energy Business was going to be a catastrophe. We were the number one in the world, and then we had the pandemic, and nobody was using energy. No one was driving an automobile, and gasoline prices are very, very low. In many cases, less than 2. Thats pretty incredible. I saved the Energy Business. I got russia and saudi arabia on the phone, and cut way back, and now at 40 a barrel, and we are saving tens of millions of jobs and energy. We are number one on energy in the world. So with all that we have done, we made and brought this country to the greatest point in its history. We never had an economy like we had prior to the china plug or china virus going in. We never had numbers like it. We are going to have them again. Everyone knows im going to rebuild it. We save millions of lives by closing. If we didnt close, you would have seen numbers that would have been 15 times what you have right now. One death is too much, but it would have been sent to 15 times the greatest economy ever, better than china. China was having, by the way, the worst year theyve had and 37 years. They paid us tens of billions of dollars. The words you that they have had we were having the best year we have ever had. I had to close it, and now we are reopening it. Next year will be stronger. It will be the strongest year so far. Okay, thank you very much. I will be heading back, and i will see you back of the white house. We are going t to to get additional torts of the white house with your great leaders. Thank you very much to the people of North Carolina. We love being here. Thank you. Bill so a couple of a couple of headlines therefore the president to North Carolina, moderna, phase three. The administration quick to point out that it is the fastest ever for novel pathogens such as covid19. I want to bring in dr. Marty makary. Thanks for hanging out here. A bit of a delay there, but i appreciate your patience. What do you think of the vaccine news as it is today . Well, its really remarkable, bill. If you look back when we were at the brink of this epidemic, every expert, everyone in the medical establishment that it would take the year and a half at minimum. Here we are, or months later, with 34,000 people scheduled to start trials, and pfizer is going to announce theres later on this week. Results could be back as early as october. Maybe november. A billion doses ready, according to operation warp speed. Its really just an incredible and inspiring moment here for american ingenuity. The scientific community, and government to address a problem. Bill ebola was 13 months to reach the same phase. It is not a fair comparison, doctor . Well, you know, we threw everything at this. If you think about what weve done scientifically so far, we have used things already on the shelf. Steroids. Even remdesivir was around from ebola. These are technologies that were around. Now we have moved into the new waves of therapeutics, if you are going to see more. Im really excited about the antibody therapy. That is all all their way to address this, so its giving us a lot more tools as doctors. Once we have a vaccine, that is not the end of the story. People need to take it, and we need to see its good behaviors continue. Bill so much of this is timedependent. Cases have held steady from over the weekend. Does that match up with what you have . Yeah, ive been talking to doctors in texas and florida. Florida numbers are not super reliable. Certainly in arizona, the numbers are down. We will see a new wave of epicenters are all in, and thats why we need to be vigilant. Right now, the midwest is very concerning. Why are wheezing up dixon wisconsin and illinois and kentucky . Thats something we need to be very vigilant about. Bill the president said the death rate over the age of 18 is 85 lower now then there was back in april. What does that tell you . We should have not been as aggressive with ventilator management. Different tools on the shelf. So now that we are getting more tools, we may be at a point now where we can actually beat this thing down to get it down to the rates of seasonal flu. The country is oddly complacent with the deaths of seasonal flu, but i think we will start entering that mortality rate. Bill i have about 15 seconds. Testing is still an issue. How do we make that better . We got behind the eight ball with testing, and once you do, there is a Global Supply chain that you can only pull so hard on, so those regulators at the fda, creating the delays for washingon state, its hard to bounce back from that, but remember, we were told that Contact Tracing was going to be the solution. It turns out it is not how we manage this infection. Bill thank you, doctor, we will start soon. Here is charles. Charels President Trump just wrapping up his speech. First, capitol hill where republicans are putting the finishing touches on the Coronavirus Relief bill. Can democrats and republicans, to terms with it . I am Charles Payne and for neil cavuto, and this is your world. Whats the latest . It was supposed to be released last week. Thats not happen. Theres a lot of republican dissidents, and we are expecting it to be released sometime later
