Im not sure polls at this point really encapsulate where the race stands. In my estimation, i think there are four candidates who have the best chance of winning the nomination. They all have their faults. They would have to overcome them. Who are those . Those candidates in my mind are jeb bush Chris Christie marco rubio and scott walker. I think they are best positioned out of all the candidates considering to win the nomination. As i said, no guarantee but i think they do have their shot. You say they have their shot. What do they have to do in order to gain that edge over everyone else . Particularly when you look at a young senator, marco rubio, and even governor of wisconsin, scott walker who really floored a lot of people by his dynamic speech recently in iowa. I think with marco rubio, i think you nailed it on the head there. The big concern i think for a lot of people with marco rubio is he is a senator. He hasnt served his first term yet. He is a young guy, not with much executive experience really, no executive experience. So hes going to have to make the case why someone kind of with that record, without executive experience should be and is capable of being president especially after you know two terms of someone who was a senator and a lot of people in the Republican Party didnt think he was up for the job, barack obama why someone like marco rubio who doesnt have that executive experience will have to make the case why he could do something different. I think thats his challenge. As you mentioned with scott walker his challenge and he mollified it last speech in iowa, he showed he has the charisma to capture the national audience. He can be on the stage and look president ial. There was concern he was maybe too bland, too boring while maybe that shouldnt be a big concern for president ial politics, it is. Image matters and last weekend i think he helped put a little bit of that concern to rest but he has to continue to show that Going Forward because i think a lot of people in the Republican Party like his record in wisconsin. Point well taken and well noted but you said image matters. Absolutely. Name also matters. Name recognition, bush. As in jeb bush. Right. Former governor of florida, was very much beloved in that state, although he had some enemies but hes moving out there. Will his name hurt him or help him . Well its a plus and a minus. Everybody knows his name obviously. He has a huge donor network. Hes able to raise lots of money. Hes trying to raise a ton of money in the First Quarter to try to send a signal that he is the big guy in the race but his name is also a hindrance. Lot of people dont like dynasties in this country including in the Republican Party. You had his father as president , in the early 1990s, his brother was the last republican president. Do they want a third president bush . Thats a question hes going to have to overcome. Hes going to have to show that despite kind of this idea of a dynasty,s the best candidate for the job, and i think thats his major challenge. While he has to overcome the name and the dynasty moniker that will be attached to him no doubt, the other thing this party has to do as well as the democratic party, they have toe overcome the issues and deal with the issues. It doesnt matter who gets the nomination. How will they deal with the issues besetting the American People . Well, a lot of the candidates are trying to, in the republican side, are trying to kind of correct what they saw was a failure of the mitt romney 2012 campaign and theyre trying to reach out to kind of the average joe voter who is kind of overlooked by the political process. Theyre talking about income inequality, the issues the democrats are talking about, try igto approach those issues in a different policy direction but trying to reach kind of that average joe voter who looks overlooked by the political process. So i think were going to see more of the candidates trying to crack policies to reach that voter and well see how that plays out this year. Absolutely, and if you look at states like ohio thats going to be crucial in these swing states that will decide the election, in this economy where you see sometimes the top earners are doing better than the bottom earners. This is traditionally a democratic issue but the republicans are trying to adopt it as their own to show there are Republican Solutions to this problem and youll see how the candidates kind of shape that debate by giving out policies that are more tailored to conservative policy as opposed to liberal policy ends. I think Hillary Clinton is most likely obviously to be the democratic nominee but i think shes very vulnerable. Now his bail set at 2 million. It makes you wonder oh, and he was sentenced to nine years in prison after being seen with his accomplices beating up a rival gang member. Richard and i fight these fights every single day. There will be two hearings. The trial should be a laboratory. So all of this stuff should be kept out of the trial.
