They are prepared to swear in the young men live. If i would, what does it mean to be here and stand in front of the men and women who on this night rather than reveling, are prepared to put their hand up for the country. Pete i talked to a few of them. We have bronx, queens, and what is it that motivates the men and women of the young generation. Weve been at war for 17 years. They still sign up. Mr. President , another piece of news, Lindsey Graham emerged from the white house. He was critical about your decision to withdraw from syria. He said now i support the president. Hes more hawkish on american troops and intervention abroad. What was said that changed the mind of Lindsey Graham . I dont think too much. I never said im going to rush out. Were going to get out. Were getting out of syria. Were bringing our young, great troops over after so many years. We were supposed to be in syria for three to four months. That was four or five year ago. It is time. We have to bring them home. Were going to do it in a very good way. Frankly, you know this better than anybody, pete, isis was all over the place when i took over. It was a total mess in syria. Weve almost eradicated all of them. We think all of them will be gone by the time we get out. Were heading back, and were also fighting. You can do two things at once. Plus as you know we have other bases in the general area. In particular we have one in iraq. Nobody said anything about that. Were fighting the endless wars. I campaigned on getting out of the endless wars. Ive done more than i said. Not only am i able to get out, but ive also won. You look at what ive tone. Weve largely eradicated isis. That doesnt mean we dont totally finish the job. Thats going to be a short period of time. We have to bring our troops back home. It is time. Certainly an accomplishment. The destruction of isis has not gotten enough notice. They dont want to talk about it. Pete they really dont. If Lindsey Graham is on bored board with a plan like that, thats a good sign. Everyone thought 2019 would be the year that democrats try to take the primary to win in 2020. One of them jumped the gun. Elizabeth warren, one of your favorite senators, will be announcing an exploratory committee. Your reaction to your opponent on the democratic side, mr. President . Im happy about it. I think she will be wonderful. I hope she maybe gets the nomination. That would be a wonderful thing for me. The only reason the democrats as an example arent approving all of these people that want to come into government, and they really do, they want to come in. We need lawyers and ambassadors and all of the 360 people the democrats wont approve or look at not approving the wall. Walls dont work. It is because of the 2020 election. They think im going to win. I think based on record im going to win also. I think were going to win big. They figure by obstructing, they can do this. Elizabeth warren was the first. She did badly about proving she was from indian heritage. I think you have more. I would love to run against here. Pete she says shes in the fight all the way, mr. President. Do you think she believes she can win . That i dont know. You would have to ask her psychiatrist. Honestly, if it is her or somebody else, based on our record, pete, when you look at what weve done and when you look at at the regulation cuts, and when you look at the massive tax cuts and what weve done for the vets and for the military. You know with the vets we have choice. Now as you know better than anybody almost i can speak too that was phase one. Were going to phase two and phase three. Were doing it in steps. When you look at all of the things weve done for building up our military and all of the things. I dont think if you go just based on the record, i dont see how anybody wins. Weve done a lot. If you look at unemployment, were at a 50year low. For africanamericans and hispanics and asians were at an alltime historic low. The history of our country low. I dont know if somebody can do better than that. Good luck. It just doesnt seem that based on the record somebody is going to do real well. Pete thats a fair point. New years eve tonight a lot of our viewers it is a time for reflection. You look back on 2018 and look forward to 2019. If i could, on a lighter note, your winners and losers from 2018 who are the big winnest and who are the big losers in the last year . I think the winners are the American People. Weve gotten them tax cuts and jobs. Jobs like theyve never had before. Weve taken care of the military and rebuilt large portions and very shortly all of our military which was depleted. I think that the big winners are the people of the country. That makes me very happy. The one that has lost, you know, i dont want to really say. You have certainly a lot of people that wanted to do things that it didnt work out. I think when you look at some of the candidates that are announcing right now, i think theyll end up being the losers. You have a lot of people. 32 people could be with the democrats. Lets see what happens. I only im really more interested in the winners. And the winners are the people of the United States. Pete absolutely. Any resolutions for the new year or any predictions in the new year, or both . I think were going to have a great form of wealth. Weve created a lot of wealth for our country. Thats very important. That means jobs, it means prosperity, it means we can afford to do what were doing with the military. Were working on tremendous trade deals where other countries have taken advantage of us so badly. Im ready to got. Its very important to a lot of people. They are looking to get their paycheck, so im ready to go any time they want. No, were not giving up. We have to have Border Security and the wall is a big part of Border Security. The biggest part. Pete absolutely. Mr. President , another piece of news, senator Lindsey Graham emerged from the white house. He had been critical of your decision to withdraw troops if syria but he emerged saying now i support the president s decision. A lot of people, famously more hawkish on american troops than intervention abroad. What was said to him what did you relay inside the white house that changed the mind of Lindsey Graham . President trump i dont think too much except i said, i never said that im going to rush it. Were going to get out. Were getting out of syria. Were bringing our young, great troops home after so many years. We were suppose od to be home. Its time. We have to bring them home and were going to do it in a very good way, and frankly, and you know this better than anybody, pete, isis was all over the place when i took over. It was a total mess in syria. Weve almost eradicated all of them. We think all of them will be gone by the time we get out but were heading back and were also fighting. You can do two things at once. Plus, as you know, we have other bases in the general area. In particular, we have one in iraq, and no one said anything about that. But, you know, were fighting these endless wars. I campaigned on getting out of the endless wars, and frankly, i have done more than i said because not only did i am i able to get out but ive also won. You look at what ive done. Weve really largely eradicated isis. Now, that doesnt mean we dont totally finish the job but thats going to be a very short period of time. We have to bring our troops back home. Its time. Pete certainly an accomplishment, the destruction of isis has not gotten enough notice. President trump they dont want to talk about it, pete. Pete they really dont. If Lindsey Graham is onboard for the plan this is a good sign. Everyone thought 2019 would be the year the democrats come out to try to win the primary, to take you on in 2020. It turns out one of them jumped the gun. News recently that Elizabeth Warren, one of your favorite senators, will be announcing exploratory committee. Your reaction to your first opponent on the democratic side, mr. President . President trump well, im happy about it. I think shell be wonderful. I hope she maybe gets the nomination. That would be a wonderful thing for me but the only reason the democrats as an example arent approving all of these people that want to come into government, and they really do, they want to come in, we really need people, we need lawyers, we need ambassadors, we need all of these 360 people that the democrats want to approve, or, if you look at not approving the wall, where they say walls dont work when they work a hundred percent, i mean, when they are so good, its because of the 2020 election. They think im going to win. I think based on record, im going to win also. I think well win big, and they figure by obstructing they can do this the Elizabeth Warren will be the first. She did very badly in proving that she is of indian heritage. That didnt work out too well. I think you have more than she does and maybe i do, too, and i have nothing. So well see how she does. I wish her well. I hope she does well. I would love to run against her. Pete show says shes in the fight all the way. Do you really believe she can win . President trump that, i dont know, would you have to ask her psychiatrist, but honestly, i mean, if its her or somebody else, you know, based on our record, pete, when you look at what weve done, when you look at the regulation cuts, when you look at the massive tax cuts, when you look at what weve done for the vets and what weve done for the military, with the vets we have choice, and now as you know better than almost anybody i can speak to, that was phase one of choice. Were going to phase two and ultimately phase three. Were doing it in steps. When you look at all of the things weve done for building up our military and all of the things, i dont think, if you go just based on the record, i dont see how anybody wins. Weve done a lot. If you look at unemployment, were at a 50year low. For africanamericans and for hispanics and asians, were at an all time historic low. History of our country low. I dont know if somebody can do better than that good luck but it just doesnt seem based on the record, somebody is going to do real well. President trump thats a fairpoint, mr. President. Now, new years eve, tonight, a lot of our viewers, its a time for reflection, you look back on 2018 and forward to 2019. If i could, mr. President , on a lighter note, your winners and losers, who were the big winners and who were the big losers in the last year . President trump i think the winners are the American People because weve gotten them tax cuts and weve gotten them jobs. Jobs like they have never had before. Weve taken care of our military. Weve rebuilt large portions and very shortly all of our military, which was totally depleted under the previous administration, so i really think that the big winners are the people of this country. The people of our country, and that makes me very happy. The one that has lost, you know, i dont want to really say but you have certainly a lot of people that wanted to do things that it didnt work out. I think that when you look at some of the candidates that are announcing right now, i think they will end up being the losers. Youve got a lot of people. 32 people, they say could, be with the democrats. Lets see what happens, but i am really more interested in the winners and the winners are the people of the United States. Pete absolutely, sir. Exit question here. 2019, any resolutions from you, mr. President , in this new year, or any predictions in the new year, or both . President trump i think were going to have a great form of wealth. Weve created a lot of wealth for our country. And thats very important because that means jobs. It means prosperity. It means we can afford to do what were doing with the military. Were working on tremendous trade deals. Where other countries have taken advantage of us so badly. I campaigned on all of this stuff and really im producing better than i actually said even during the campaign that i would. If you look at what weve done, so i really think were going to have tremendous success with trade deals. I think well have a tremendously rebuilt military for strength and hopefully well never have to use our military. It will be so strong that well never have to use it and that would be a good thing. Pete mr. President i shouldnt say this but last year my resolution was to tweet more and its the first resolution ive actually kept. Do you have any resolutions for 2019, sir, any resolutions .
