enough staff to begin with. there's a little bit of a staffing issue for sure. these are people who want to get prisoners out of jail anyway. when you look at some of the specific crimes that shouldn't leave to any booking whatsoever we are talking about people who fail to register as a sex offender, car theft, home burglaries, those who have a fugitive want, we are talking about serious felonies. you and i have had this conversation in the past, it's impossible to get arrested and put in jail in seattle. the people who are actually there, they have long histories and this comes at a time when we are seeing another surge of violence. last year was horrific. >> shannon: one of the places was in seattle, data from 2021 showed a spike in homicides in the seattle area last year, 88
