Now, should the focus be on education as well as ideals that this country was founded on because this violence is just escalating, so should the president focus on that as well and say, listen, you cant violence is not the answer here and stay on top of that message over and over again because its only getting worse at every protest we see from here on out. Well, its not just the president , all elected leaders in the United States of america, the elected officials. It cant be to the point where you disagree with someone on their principles or values or their agenda or their politics all of a sudden you have to be a racism or islamophobe, all of these things, thats where we have to calm down and we have to be able to have this intellectual and civil discourse. You know, when we talk about diversity being strength, we need to make sure that all viewpoints are accepted and we can learn from each other. The reason that the Justice Department is investigating is to see if this is part of a group effort to stifle the free speech the people there that were protesting against the White Nationalists. Stated differently as this one person on his own driving a car to disrupt a demonstration with which he disagrees or is this part of some organized effort to silence speech that the people who want to silence it dont like. There are political factors here as well. You have an attorney general. If give a president beaten up in the press but not using language that some thought he should have used. This is a reaction to it. In terms of the crime itself it is certainly life in prison if convicted is probably not the Death Penalty because it does not qualify as firstdegree murder. As it is a form of manslaughter. Its either vehicular manslaughter at the least four negligently manslaughter because he intended to do the act which caused the death. This is a very basic question with this man be prosecuted for the crime locally in the state for manslaughter and then also potentially be prosecuted at the federal level would you have it to several charges. It would probably be a waste of time for them to prosecute him if he will already have been convicted and sentenced to life in prison by the virginia authorities. We live in very difficult times. There is a federal definition of terrorism and its very precise. Two or more acts of violence intended to affect the policy of the government that is probably does not fit within that definition from what we now know. This is another reason for the investigation. Was he planning to kill someone. When he was in ohio was he planning and plotting with others to do this. How big a group is involved. Someone has to get the answers to that. In terms of people who were at these rallies in the photographs of the people the white supremacist who are marching on the lawn on friday night even before this young woman was murdered in their photos were everywhere. They were all over the internet. And people are trying to on twitter and elsewhere try to pinpoint who these individuals are and get them fired. Does it prevent it. Generally hate speech is protected. And as a repellent as this idea is the idea of hatred because of someone because of their race. They have an obligation to protect the speaker. And it will not take sides and protect only the speech it likes. It has to protect even the speech it hates. Its very clear from recent opinions that that is up her daily interpretation. As a protection against action by the government be prosecuted so can the guy who are organized this demonstration be prosecuted for the murder his words caused such an incendiary atmosphere that it was the natural probable consequence. The answer is no. His speech is protected. Can he lose his job in new york and new jersey in california. With statutes that prohibit that. I dont know if the home state has that kind of that there were a handful who were featured in the most seen photos from the rally. It seems like they came from all over the country.
