Investors are not happy with performance theyre getting from major players. Recently, last couple of years, they really have not. Those big fees are what attracted so many people in into the business of running hedge funds. Markets are efficient. Where is all the money going . Its going into index funds. Dagen yeah, Exchange Traded funds. Absolutely. People are comfortable with passing, investing, im sure thats what a lot of hedge funds are hearing all of the time. [laughter] its pretty cheap compared to 2 and 20. Maria why should i pay all of that money when i could actually put my money in index fund and atf and pay miniscule fees. We knew that we had to do something more. I was commissioner in 1993 when the first World Trade Center attack took place. Maria right. We had e second horrific event. So we knew we had to buttress our defenses. We had to supplement what the fbi was doing. So, we brought in experts from federal government, from other agencies. We brought in students from some of the Top Ivy League schools, to work as analysts for us. We ultimately assigned Police Officers overseas in 11 cities to act as listening posts and tripwires for the city. We devoted over 1000 Police Officers every day to counterterrorism efforts. Maria as we approach this anniversary on sunday its really important for our viewers and the public at large to acknowledge our incredible heroes in the new york police department, in the new york fire department, all those emergency crews as people were coming out of the buildings they were going in the buildings. 343 firefighters lost their lives. 37 Port Authority Police Officers, 23 new York City Police officers and it is something that, those agencies will never forget but we hope the public never forgets as well.
