You announced this new bill today, the most significant reforms, changes in banking laws since doddfrank. Start with what it would do with regard to the fed . Well, it would give us some more transparency with the fed. It would also among other things bring the fed before the Banking Committee quarterly rather than semiannually. What i believe we need with the fed is more transparency, and more oversight. We can do it this way. But also were very interested in the proposal among other things how do you designate someone systemically risky. Too big to fail. Absolutely. Getting more supervision under doddfrank. We need that. Should everybody be designated . No, but some should but not everybody. What are changes you make there, right now any bank over 50 billion gets this extra oversight . We would run it up from 50 to 500. But we would leave the discretion to the regulators to decide because ultimately theyre the ones that are dealing with these institutions every day. But we would give them some leeway which they dont have today. Right. So a lot of banks kind of in the middle, midsized banks. Absolutely. Over 50 billion but under 500 billion in assets get relief. And have not caused any risks to the Monetary System or to our economy. You also address nonbank sifis like insurance companies. Absolutely. The metlife issue. Metlife has been designated systematically important and is fighting that extra regulation. What would your bill do to change that . What were interested in among other things if they have been designated how do they work themselves out of it . In other words, if they do the things that the fed has called into question, to, would deem them risky how do they get rid of some of those risks and get out of the designation. That is important. I asked that question at the banking hearing. One other thing that some of your colleagues would like favor this audit the fed legislation. Your bill does not include that. Why not . Well the fed is already audited now. I think a lot of people would like to do away with the federal reserve. I dont want to do that we need a central bank but we need more oversight. I dont believe members of congress should be making Monetary Policy but we should know what the feds doing with our Monetary Policy because we created the fed. Ultimately the American People are looking to the congress. So this would bring the fed before us more often. They would have a better case on the merits but apparently a more difficult case from what i read in terms of the fraternity being some type of a government entity, part of the university. A lot of tylenols can affect your liver. The way we think as doctors, tylenol is great for fever. If youre having flu symptoms and fever you want to think about tylenol because it has acetaminophen. If youre thinking about any kind of inflammation, say you have arthritis, you have inflammation of prostate, menstrual cycles anything with inflammation, ibuprofen and advil is the way to go. In general take these medications for very short period of time. Because they all have sideeffects. Tylenol is a good medication, if you take it couple of times if you have some fever, et cetera. But longterm is disaster. A lot of liver disease. Major pressure on the liver. Especially mixing it with alcohol. During the wintertime you may take other medication that has more tylenol in it. That load really affects your liver. Be very careful. Melissa what is the sideeffect to advil while were talking . Can cause a lot of gi systems, melissa. Gi bleeding, gastric ulcers. These are all shortterm medications but mostly bleeding. One of the reasons why after surgery, anytime we do operations we dont want you to touch any of these nsaids. Tylenol is safer if you have had surgery because it has lower chance of bleeding. Advil and aspirin and others, they have, you know higher chance. Melissa okay. But you know, very good question. Very good point you want to bring in. The big thing is, use them once in a while to get through, a painful period or, fever, et cetera but not long term. That is the key.
