That debate included democrats and republicans being very, very clear that for the president to take offensive action against iran, would require a declaration of war or as we know call it, an authorization to use military force. Now that polling is come out showing him contrast with specific democrats and apparently in his own internal polling, not doing that well, i think it brings it home more to him that the reality of election is here. Even if his pollsters thought maybe they were doing the right thing by putting this information out there. He likes to control his own message at the end of the day. I think that much like what weve seen, first of all, i dont think trump ever really stopped campaigning. I did speak with some sources close to the campaign who said that these polls were probably selectively leak ed in order to get the president to be more disciplined, to focus on his weaknesses and some of the damage that hes done with his rhetoric to you know, female or africanamerican voters. So i think that the president always is needs something to be angry about. This might be just that going into his orlando rally kickoff tomorrow. You know the president feels threatened by biden and several of the key battleground states. Pennsylvania, wisconsin or michigan. But is he beginning to feel threatened by some of the other democratic president ial candidates as well . Well, he mepgsed Elizabeth Warren. Called her by the derogatory nickname hes given her in the interview with George Stephanopoulos. So that says to me he sees herb on the rise in the poll and its swrus as an insurance policy, going after her as well. And you know i think a part of this also is by going after other democrats, he also makes joe biden look like a weak frontrunner. Suggests that maybe hes not sure that hell be up against joe biden in the general election so kind of hedging his betds a little bit. I think its a, a multipronged strategy in that ropt.
