With cnns gary tuchman, in atlanta, whats happening there . [ chanting ] gary tuchman, you can hear . Reporter its a little loud. Let me tell you whats going on. I hear you fine right now. Were in the middle of atlanta, georgia right down the block from where Martin Luther king, junior was born and laid to rest. Were with very angry people, people who are very upset donald trump is the president elect. Theyre chanting we reject the president elect, and thats one of the few things we could tell you thats suitable for television theyre chanting. Donald trump has said hes leading the greatest Political Movement in the United States. These people completely beg to differ. Can i ask you a quick question, maam, tell me why youre here . Im here because trump is here to destroy america. He does not support people of color. Did you vote . I voted for hillary. Reporter do you object to the way the election was carried out . Do you think it was an unfair election . I just think the africanamerican people did not come out to vote the way they needed to. People of color, we need to stick together because trump is not for us. Your family and friends, did they vote . Yes, my family and friends did vote. We came to vote together. We all voted together. Reporter thank you for talking to us. You, sir, why are you here, tell me . Im here today because the Democratic Party took out somebody who mobilized millions of people, most people reporter whos that . Bernie sanders. Did you vote for Hillary Clinton for president . Absolutely not. You dont like donald trump either. Absolutely. Do you think that would have helped defeat donald trump if you voted for Hillary Clinton . No. Thank you for talking to us. You say theres mixture, people who voted for bernie sanders, a thirdparty candidate, and people who didnt vote at all. And the most important thing, its been peaceful. About this rally, its been lasting for four hours. Weve gone about four miles within the streets of atlanta and most of all its been peaceful. Thank you, gary well check back with you. I want to get to phil mattingly. Phil, donald trump has been meeting with his inner circle of advisors. Can what you can tell us . Reporter urgency is kind of the keyword as they go into the process. Think about it this way, donald trump has thousands of appointments to make over the course of the next 70 days and into the next couple of weeks of the administration. The team leading up to election, im told they were in a pretty good place. They need the president elect to make decisions. Before he gets there, he decided to shake up the transition team. Chris christie, the new jersey governor has been leading the team to this point. As of today that is no longer the case. Vice president elect mike pence will take that roll, will take the reigns of it. Im told it is like 2000 when dick cheney came in and exerted more over the process and when asked why republican Officials Say mike pence is a crucial ability to outreach, and maneuver with washington and the governors in the states, thats why hes taking on that role, but no question about it. Chris christie, taking a step back. Mike pence moving in to kind of the most powerful role in the transition process. All right. Phil mattingly, thank you. Hillary Clinton Holding an event in new york, to thank her campaign staff. She arrived at an all staff party in brooklyn not far from her campaign headquarters. She told volunteers this, that he first remarks since her concession speech. This is a tough time for our country. I think weve seen how people have been reacting to the event of this election and i know that weve got to be reaching out to each other to keep it clear in our own minds that what we did was so important. I want to bring in now mark mckinnon, former advisor to george w. Bush and the cocreator of the circus, great show, and ryan lizza and celina zeto. Thank you for joining us. Mark, quickly, as we look at these protest since donald trump was elected on tuesday night, do you ever remember anything like this with a president elect . No, really unprecedented. It could have happened and might have happened in 2000 over the bush recount. There was a lot of there was some protests around the ballot boxes and down in florida, but nothing like this. And this is understandable. This is a democracy and everybody has their First Amendment rights and there is a lot of pentup passion and frustration thats completely understandable because there are a lot of people out there that were quite certain Hillary Clinton was going to be the president of the United States and this is an opportunity for them to vent that frustration. And part of it is the rhetoric on the campaign trail. He was particularly sharp in his tone and offensive in some peoples minds. The whole campaign was unlike any weve ever seen. So it was a lot of angry dialogue, a lot of angry campaign talk, back and forth, and so people are understandably taking this opportunity to let people know how they feel. And i think thats a good way to kind of release the you know, the valve a little bit. And blow off some steam as they say. Ryan, to you now, donald trump spoke with 60 minutes for his first interview since the election. He talked about receiving phone calls from the clintons, lets listen. Hillary called you. Tell us about that phone call. So hillary called and it was a lovely call. And it was a tough call for her, i can imagine. Tougher for her than it would have been for me and for me it would have been very difficult. She couldnt have been nicer. She just said congratulations, donald. Well done. And i said, i want to thank you very much. You were a great competitor. Shes very strong and very smart. What about bill clinton . Did you talk to him . He did. He called the next day. What did he say . He actually called last night. What did he say . And he couldnt have been more gracious. He said it was an amazing run, one of the most amazing hes ever seen. He said that . He was very, very really very nice. You know you said that you might call president obama for advice. Would you think of calling president clinton for advice . Well, hes a very talented guy. Both of them. I mean, this is a very talented family. Certainly, i would certainly think about that. So again, more of the gracious tone he has taken since the election. Do you expect to see that continue . Well, he gave a very gracious victory speech early wednesday morning and he was very courteous and gracious with president obama in the oval office and so far from what weve seen in this interview, hes sounding all the right notes. The major misfire in my mind is when he tweeted in frankly what was his first substantive comment after the election, the only time hes actually said anything news worthy or beyond just a platitude, he sort of whines about the fact that there were protests in the streets and that media was covering it. I think thats a terrible sign, that the president elect and that his first instinct, when he sees protestors and the press covering is to criticize two obviously First Amendmentprotected rights. Now, obviously later on, after a lot of people criticized it, he tweeted Something Else and sort of gently praised the protestors, so you know, thats theres been two Donald Trumps here the last couple of days. But i think we know donald trump pretty well after a year and a half of watching him in the campaign. Hes a 70yearold as Newt Gingrich once told me, hes a 70yearold billionaire. Hes not going to change. Yeah. He tweeted something very similar to what we said, why didnt he tweet Something Like this and i woke up this morning and it was similar to what he had tweeted overnight. Celina, i have to ask you, we have audio of Hillary Clinton speaking for the First Time Since her concession. She held a Conference Call to thank her volunteers. Listen. It looks like we are on the path to winning the popular vote, and that says volume about the importance of your work and the Lasting Impact that it will have. This is this is a hard loss for all of us because we know what was at stake in this election and weve got to do everything we can to continue to support the causes that we believe in, because when youre ready, i hope you will get up and get back out there and keep fighting. I never thought this campaign was about one person or even one election. And that concession, celina, she never talked about winning the popular vote, but its many something that many of her supporters are shouting now. Do you think thats going to be a rallying cry for democrats . I understand why she did it. She wants to keep the people involved in her campaign to pass the torch and continue to do it forever, whoever the next candidate is, or for the upcoming midterms, which are very, very important. What mrs. Clinton probably should address at some point is that she ran a campaign on the past. She ran on her resume and never offered voters a tangible benefit. People made fun of trump saying make america great, but that was something that people latched on to. That was a benefit. And i think thats the next step forward for the Democratic Party and for mrs. Clinton. Mark, you wanted to Say Something . Yes, celina, i wanted to give you a shout out. I think you had the best summary of this campaign of anybody when you said the media took trump literally, but not seriously. And supporters took him seriously but not literally. That was the perfect in capsulation. That just comes from straddling both worlds, being there with the voters and talking and listening to them, but also being a reporter. It makes a difference and so few reporters actually get out in the field like you did. Thank you. Well continue on after this. Stick around, everyone. When we come back, Hillary Clinton winning the popular vote by hundreds of thousands, while losing the election and that has a lot of people asking, should we scrap the electoral college. Lots of outrage tonight over the fact that Hillary Clinton is winning the popular vote but lost the election. Back with me my panel. Welcome back. Cnn is reporting the choices for chief of staff are steve bannon and Reince Priebus. Trump prefers bannon, and others close to him are bushing for Reince Priebus. This is steve bannon in an interview back in 2010. What we need to do is bitch slap the Republican Party and get those guys heathing, too and if we have to, well take it over. What would choosing bannon over priebus suggest to you . Well banno, who is one of his chief advisors, and who runs breitbart. And sort of. I think Rhines Priebus is a model chief of staff. He spun more plates through difficult times not just over the last year but over the last entire period of his tenure at the rnc. It is amazing. People dont last long there but he has done an admirable job. Thats part of his job, to deal with the incoming and the differe different factions. Hes great at that. I dont know steve bannon, but doesnt sound like thats a job hed want. Hes a big thinker and being chief of staff is just youre just making the train run. What job should he have, meaning steve bannon if any, ryan lizza. This is the most important decision trump will make since picking mike pence, his vp pick. This will tell us this is the first important sign about the direction of the trump presidency. Does he pick a washington i dont want to say insider as if thats a pejorative thing. Someone who knows washington, someone who knows the most important relationships starting with paul ryan on capitol hill. The inside has been majority. When you actually have to govern, when you are not out there bsing and want to get to washington and do things knowing things matters and Reince Priebus knows how things work. Bannon is a brilliant guy, but hes a provocateur, and knows how to throw rocks from the sidelines. He frankly hated reince and the rnc leadership before this campaign, hates paul ryan and the leadership there, and if donald trump wants to come to washington, if he wanted to send a message to capitol hill he doesnt respect republicans up there and he doesnt care what they think, he should pick bannon. Frankly, bannons associations at breitbart will be extremely damaging. If donald trump wants first few weeks running up to his inaugural about every crazy article that breitbart ran, the altright connection. The altright and racist right wingers, he should pick bannon. If he wants someone washington respects, hell pick Reince Priebus. Isnt that same rational for barack obama and rob emanuel . How did that serve him . I thought e man youll was a really good chief of staff because he not only was you know, knew washington and knew how to get things going, but he also was a really good no guy and i think all great administrations have that guy that can say, oh, my god, no, you cant that, and emanuel was that guy. That also cost him his job, but if you look back in history, you look at someone like fdr, everybody hated each other and everybody had a were opposing forces, but it made that administration and it made that white house work and work like clockwork. Rob emanuel, the eventual mayor became the mayor of chicago. I have to ask you this, mark, i have to put this up. This is a list here. Krissie is a vice chairman for this transition a vice chairman, aalong with rudy giuliani, jeff sessions, retired former general mike flynn, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, and steve bannon, donald junior, ivanka, and his son, eric. Is this a political apprentice here . Its not a conventional Transitional Team or campaign or ending and i dont know if youre donald trump, after all the success youve had, you should suddenly get conventional. Theres some good signs that make it more likely hell be successful. For example, id call it the promotion of mike pence, not demotion of Chris Christie to take over the transition team. Hes really liked and trusted by congress, knows the rolls really well. Chris christie is a governor from outside washington. I think hell have an Important Role and important job, but pence is the right guy to be running that show right now. But Chris Christie was the first one to come aboard and meh. This is saying donald trump has some judgment to say, yeah he may have been first in but he is not best guy with the job. Especially with what happened with bridgegate and the indictments in new jersey. Is it a good idea to put your kids on the transition team, the same ones running your business in a socalled blind trust . I mean, this is the this is the issue that frankly the press just did not focus on enough during the election, is the massive conflict of interest that we are going to have between what trump claims to be a tenbillion dollar organization, and a new government in washington. When journalists asked questions about this, we were told that it the all of trumps assets and finances and corporate entities would be put into a blind trust. That phrase was not accurately used because a blind trust is not what they were describing but now theyve made a mockery of that, by putting the children that were supposed to run the blind trust which wasnt even blind trust on the transition committee. Okay . So this is a massive unprecedented conflict of interest when you have someone unprecedented in history with a 10 billion Company Relies on contracts like the one in washington at the hotel and is going to have access to all of the most important Insider Information in the government and the trump team needs to figure out a way to deal with this. When Hillary Clinton was secretary of state, the first thing the obama team did was make all the donations to the Clinton Foundation public. There were massive questions about the Clinton Foundations ties and conflict of interest issues and i have heard nothing from the trump people about how theyre going to address this. Its really important. Selena, people have also been trying to figure out, what Donald Trumps core beliefs really are and what hell act on first. We have a clip from trumps first interview. This is on 60 minutes. Listen. Let me ask you about obamacare, which you say youre going to repeal and replace. When you replace it, are you going to make sure that people with preconditions are still covered . Yes, because it happens to be one of the strongest assets. Youre going to keep that. Also with the children living with their parents for an extended period youre going to keep that . Very much try and keep that. Adds cost but its something were going to try and keep. And theres going to be a period, if you repeal it, and before you replace it, when millions of people could lose were going to do it simultaneously. It will be just fine. Thats what i do. I do a good job. I know how to do this stuff. Were going to repeal it and replace it and were not going to have like a twoday period and were not going to have a twoyear period where theres nothing. It will be repealed and replaced and well know and it will be great healthcare for much less money. He said thats what he does, he does a great job, but he also has changed his mind on a lot of issues during this Campaign Season to repeatedly saying hes going to repeal obamacare, repeal and replace it on the first day. How is this going to sit with conservatives . Its interesting. This isnt really first time hes said it. Ive heard him say it before. He also said it to me in an interview in april. And and so i reached back and talked to a couple of the people about ten of them in the Washington Post story today about how they felt about that. And they overwhelmingly said they didnt expect things to first of all happen overnight, but they also said they had a level of expectation, the parts that were good, the parts that people overwhelmingly approved of, like keeping your children on until theyre 26, they understood that those were going to still be part of the of the healthcare bill and i dont and when i talk to these voters, you didnt get the sense they expected a button to be turned and all of obamacare should be gone and for it to start over again. They have an idea of how process works. Ive got to do this, mark and if you can answer quickly, do you think its time to ditch the electoral college, because a lot of people are saying she got the popular vote and he didnt . No we put it in place for a reason. The reason is if we changed it, the entire campaign would be in california, new york and we couldnt campaign in the middle of the country and its a much better reflection. Thank youall. I appreciate it. Up next the two sins Fareed Zakari say were revealed by the election. It takes hard work, dedication and hours of practice for a drum line to perfect its routine. You say the first sin is elitism. Tell me about that. I realize the heart of why so many of us missed what was happening and the part of why trump won was he got this extraordinary rural, White Working Class vote, thats what flipped these historically democratic states like pennsylvania, ohio, michigan, wisconsin, and i thought, i dont know this world. I feel like i live in new york, i you know i have a completely different world. I decided i need to talk to my friends who work in that world, ive read about it and what ive discovered was this is a part of the world that modern and post Industrial Revolution has just left behind. We dont think a lot about it, but these are people who if you look at employment data, so since 2008, in the obama years, eight and a half million College Graduates have gotten new jobs. Employment numbers have gone up eight and a half million for people with college degrees. For people with high school diplomas, 80,000 have gotten jobs. So theres still basically in the same recession. So this is the anguish, the pain of rural america, and i Start Talking to these people and i have discovered from their point of view, were are all looking down on them. They say all of america, every movie, every song, every tv show, is set in new york, or l. A. , or chicago. You know, what about us . We are treated, in this way that is not just fly over country, its just you dont even know we exist and what trump gave them and what republicans are better at doing than democrats is they give them respect. He said i hear you, i listen to you, so i felt like you know what the democrats are guilty here of is the sin of elitism, thinking we live in this meritocracy society, theres a lot of people in the country and you forget about who you dont see in new york and l. A. It used to be democrats had that demographic and they sort of took it for granted, which is a whole other subject. Im from a red state and i left a red state to come to new york and many people who lived in new york and l. A. , i lived in chicago. They are in a bubble. They think the entire world is like them and its not. And i think the danger is its one step further, tell me if you agree, don, we think this is a meritocracy, the best people rise to the top and probably end up in cities and things but actually a lot of people who didnt rise to the top, maybe they were unlucky, maybe they had tough breaks, tough odds. Maybe theres nothing wrong with a simple life. And maybe they made a choice. Yeah. And that i think we sometimes think in a meritocracy, the people who are not moving up, that somehow they are inferior. That was the signal theyre getting. Ive heard people its subconscious. And i think people do think that and i hear it a lot here in new york. But lets be honest. Some of the jobs, in the rust belt, or in the coal mines, some of those jobs are not coming back. Because there is not a need for them. If you build an iphone factory, then you can put people to work. If you build some other industry there, but you know thats like saying im going to were going to make a whole bunch of typewriters. Just doesnt exist anymore. Do those people understand that and is it incumbent upon leaders to do that instead of pandering this is a big deindustrialized process, and what happens in these rural communities, is in the city if your company goes bankruptcy, you can get a job in the Service Sector. In these towns, the towns are constructed around one company, a steel mill, a coal mine. When that company goes under all the Service Sector jobs, they collapse, because theres not enough density for people to find work, so what an economist would tell you is these people need to move, but people are human beings. Theyre tethered to what republicans have been very good about, maybe they dont have an economic solution, in fact, maybe those Economic Solutions will hurt those people, but they give them respect by affiliating with them culturally, the guns, emotionally. But that doesnt mean jobs. No. And thats quite thats not honest. I will be stunned if four years from now, you have managed to reindustrialize the upper midwest. Those jobs went first of all those jobs went a long time ago. Its very hard to bring them back. Its sad. I grew up in a Chemical Plant town in louisiana. Exxon chemicals, dow chemicals, whatever, and the jobs have changed, but the oil industry is not going away for a very long time, so that sustains that economy, but if youre in a coal town, if you are in a manufacturing town and even if the factory comes back, the jobs dont come back. There are new bmw factories, which employ 100, 200 workers, and lots of computers. And those workers are actually engineers. Theyre not lowskilled labor. Let me talk to you, this is the other sin, about racism in the spread of worldwide rightwing populism. Explain that to me. When you look at the issue of race its very tough, the minute i say this my friends in the south, these places, they say, no, no, no, you are accusing us of being racist. Im not saying that. Im saying trump is not alone here. What you are noticing is this rightwing populous reaction. Its happening in a country like sweden, which has very strong economic growths. You cant say theres an economic problem. Its happening in germany, where there are lots of manufacturing jobs. Those germans have maintained those old factories. Its happening in france which has lots of protections for the working class. Whats the common theme in america and france and germany . All of these places you have a white majority population that faces an influx of brown and black skin people coming into their countries, their towns and cities. And maybe you can say maybe it is true, it is a kind of cultural reaction against change, but it often expresses itself in something that would be more simply called racism. Yeah. And the world changes. Yes. Gotta get used to that. Again you cant get back to the old world. There is nothing going back. Thank you, fareed. When we come back, now he says lets give trump a chance. Glen beck is here next. Real milk has eight times more protein than almond milk. Real milk has naturally occurring calcium, but almond milk doesnt. Glen beck joins me now in his first oncamera interview since the election and i appreciate that. Welcome, glen. You were not a supporter of donald trump. Thank you. And you took a whole lot of heat. No, not at all. During the campaign, but today heres what you wrote in the New York Times. You said mr. Obama and Hillary Clinton have offered wise counsel. Give mr. Trump a chance. The country needs him to succeed and represent all americans. So, is this your olive branch to donald trump . It is. And you know, we have two obligations under the constitution. One of them is to fight hard and speak the truth when it comes to a primary. And then when the president is the president , we do our best to give him a shot. That doesnt mean if he starts violating principle and i love what selena said. I have taken this to heart, and i think its so true. That his supporters took him seriously but not literally. I take him literally. And the point, don, that im trying to make is, i dont know how donald trump is going to end up as a president , and i do take him literally and by doing that, he scares me. However, what i do know is that all of my many of my liberal very liberal friends have written me this week and said, is this the way you felt in 2008. To some degree, yes, you cant compare donald trump to barack obama in many ways because barack obama was a man that was at least in control of himself and his words during the campaign. So i understand the fear and what i want to say to people is dont make the same mistakes that i made. We are much more weak than we were in 2008, and im hearing people start to say things that will drive a wedge between us just like i was driving a wedge. At the time, unknowingly, it was not my intent, but it did and it happened because i was afraid of what barack obama was going to do, and we survived. And we will survive donald trump. We have to stick together and there might be some things if he goes awry, that is very frightening, and we need to be together. Were going to talk a little bit more about the differences between now and 2008 and you and i will talk about that later about what you said about the current president and then where you are now. But my question is, a lot of people are freaking out, they dont even know what the man is going to do. And i think rightfully so, to a degree, considering his rhetoric on the campaign trail and some of the policies that he espoused. I think people can freak out a little bit. And don i will say your conversation earlier about steve bannon also should be concerning. Steve bannon is not a name you throw in there with Reince Priebus. Steve bannon took a News Organization and said we are the platform for the altright. Thats a different category. I truly understand peoples concerns. Yeah. I want you to listen to what we had to say about donald trump. This was back in january. This is a conversation we had. Are you saying secretly hes a democrat . No, hes a progressive. Theres difference between a democrat and progressive. Hes a deep, diehard progressive. So is that the Common Ground . Do you believe that he is a deep, die do you think he is a progressive . I think policywise, but thats not what concerns me about donald trump. Policywise, i do believe hes a progressive. He is a guy who is has said and you cant take him at his word because i dont know what hes going to do. But hes said that he wants single payor universal health care. Thats more aggressive than barack obama. He wants a trillion dollar stimulus package. That is Hillary Clinton and barack obama combined. Hes going down the path, at least from what hes said in the past, hes going down the path of progressivism. My concern is less to do with policies and more to do with principles. During the campaign you shared this prediction about a trump presidency. Believe me, if he gets in, youre looking at a i think youre looking at a south american dictatorship if we would go into war, civil unrest, and economic instability, i think hell hes so unconnected to reality and disconnected to Clear Thinking on global issues, that i think you could see us going into a a horrible, horrible situation. Do you still believe that glen . Don, i i have to tell you, i for a man to speak his mind like i do, and try to tell people, to warn people, not to make predictions, but to warn people of how history can play out, always seems to get me into trouble. I do believe that surrounding himself with people like steve bannon, and the things that he has done in the past, if theyre for show and we shouldnt take him seriously, well, then weve got another set of problems but theyre theyre not as bad as the problems that if were to take him literally. I do believe that it doesnt have to end that way, but the reason why im talking to you tonight is thats why we need each other. We are not so different. Don you and i have gotten along and theres im sure a ton of things we disagree with but youre a decent human being and you listen to people. We need to start listening to people. Its the point i made about black lives matter in the New York Times. I need to shut up and listen to people i think completely agree with me and truly understand them. Others need to listen to the center of the country and really listen. You can say there are muslim terrorists, but you also have to say that not all muslims are terrorists, the same thing with donald trump supporters. If you are wondering, hes at a boy scout camperee with his son. Thats why you see he is gracious enough to join us here this evening. Glen, lets talk about it because you brought up the current president. Back in 2008 you had this advice for people on both sides of the aisle about barack obama. Lets give the man the respect the office deserves, lets be better people than they were to george w. Bush, better people than the left was to us, lets treat them the way they would want them to treat us. It is a strong message. Did you follow your own advice, do you think . No, no, but it was a different time. You know, when i was on megyn kelly about three years ago i said if i could go back in time, and i had the same information i had at the time, what would i do differently, and i couldnt ive racked my brain for three years. What could i have done differently with the same information . It dawned on me about a month ago. Wait a minute, wait a minute, after this election i have new information but im in the same position. In matter who wins. I thought hillary was going to win. So i can do things differently this time. I believe this may have start en, i dont even know, with clinton but then we went into george bush. We demonized each other. Then we went into barack obama and switched places and demonized each other. It is getting worse, and in 2020 if we dont change this, i dont know how this works out. But were not listening to each other, were not even we go to the Grocery Store now, don, and you know this. We dont even buy the same products anymore. Were becoming bulcanized. If we dont sit down and talk to each other and really listen we can disagree on policy but principles we have to find again, it is imperative. Im watching the news this week and im seeing people say i saw three people say, donald trump is a nazi, donald trump is a nazi, donald trump is a nazi. I will tell you, i felt like i was watching me and i was like, no, dont do that, dont do that. Yeah, but you know what . Because the other side the other sidle stop listening. I know because you stopped listening. But i would tell you, you know, sometimes when you use the words fashism and i would say, glen, thats a little harsh, but i think we should be able to talk to each other. As i said many times to you, without cast gating each other because were not all going to agree. You wrote a great article. You said post election reflection, a dysfunctional family is still a family. Even though people think i live in a bubble in new york city, which i do live in new york city but i dont live in a bubble, i visit red states and i have people of all political persuasions, but were still a family and can disagree without hating each other. I dont know exactly how we do that. I dont think, don, that we have the media that is selfaware enough and each of us that are selfaware enough to be able to have that dialogue yet in the safety we have to be able to have a few people that are modelling this kind of discussion so you can see, all right, they can get along and they can disagree, that theyre not shouting at each other and they walk away friends. We dont have that. Right now if were friends, i get this all the time, why did you talk to the Editorial Board of the New York Times . Why would you sit with those guys . Have you sold out . I get it. Good god, no, i sat down. We have to be able to do that first. Yeah, i get it. People would ask me, why would you want to interview donald trump or why would you want to sit down with a Police Officer in ferguson . It is like, why wouldnt i . Im a journalist. You know, why wouldnt i want to do that, i dont understand that. Theres so much polarization that goes on, and i think knowledge is power. Just getting to sit down to talk to someone, to hear their views can start a conversation and really an understanding. Instead of being judgmental about someone, be curious, and that can change mindset. It doesnt mean that you necessarily agree with the other person. Honest questioning is required. Yeah. Not gotcha questions, not trying to come into it i did an interview with npr a couple of weeks ago, and the host actually said to me, so youre just doing all of this for money and it is all entertainment for you, and really nothing has changed, has it . Quote, and, by the way, i consider that a rhetorical question. What kind of journalist does that . I mean, honestly, you have you are judge and jury before i even speak. Yeah. Youre trying to just shut me down. Yeah. And thats fine if thats what you choose to do, but if we if i cant believe the best of you, don. If you say, please give me another chance, ive learned, and you cant do that or i wont do that for you, then were wasting our time. Well, lets continue to talk. We have to find those people who are honestly questioning. Lets continue to talk and lets continue to try to help this conversation in america and help facilitate conversations all over america, even if people may not be so open to it in the beginning. I think this is an opportunity to do that. Okay. Thank you. Enjoy your boy scout camperee and say hello to your kids g god bless. Thank you very much. Thank you. We will be right back.
