Whats the latest information you have on if this is under control yet. Reporter well, at the moment we do know that were getting reports from the military that firing at the scene has stopped, but that they are clearing the area block by block. This does not mean that the operation is finished. Were getting reports on the ground that people are still hearing hearing explosions a while ago. Its an ongoing situation, and information coming out of that area is not very precised and detailed in. Were getting different reports from different sources, but we know that this took place in the morning today. Its a foggy morning in the northwest of pakistan. Its a situation where militants, we dont know how many have gone in. They took positions within the university which had a number of students, classes are ongoing. The new semesters have started. The its a very big state of affairs right now. Well continue to check in with you in the hours ahead as the army and the government tries to get a handle on whats happening there at the university. A positive development if the firing and gunfire has ended, but of course, as you mention, theres a bit of conflicting information coming out of the chaos right there. Sofia on the line. Back in the United States, the michigan governor says he is sorry about the crisis in the city of flint where Drinking Water is contaminated with lead. Hes promising to fix the problem. Hes having lawmakers to approve measu money to help the crisis. He says hell release his emails for accountability. These protesters gathered tuesday calling for the resignation of the governor. Some want him arrested. Snyder says hes not going anywhere. To you, the people of flint, i say im sorry and i will fix it. No citizen of this great state should endure this kind of catastrophe. Government failed you. Federal, state and local leaders by breaking the trust you place in it. Im sorry most of all that i let you down. You deserve better. You deserve accountability. You deserve to know that the buck stops here with me. And a new report from the Environmental Protection agency puts the plam for the crisis on state and local officials. And a growing number of residents are joining lawsuits over the contamination. We report on how the crisis began and what officials have and have not done about it. Reporter officials failed to add something to the water that then allowed lead from some of the systems pipes to contaminate the water. The suit states that early made the decision. According to a new lawsuit, the uscpa wrote a detailed memo vout lining unacceptable levels of lead in flints water. That was shared with state officials but no action was taken. It wasnt until october, 2015 that the state changed flints water supply. Cbc issued a warning about avoiding these pregnants because of the risk of contracting zika. A pregnant who has traveled there gets screened and finds shes been exposed to the zika virus, what then . Doctors say go to a health care provider. The most that doctors can coat the moment is monitor that woman throughout her pregnancy. Theyll use an ultrasound to check the baby. At the moment, thats the most that can be done. Theres not a specific treatment for zika. Theres no medicines that can prevent the virus. Its a real concern. Whats being done to try to stop the spread of this disease . Its a lot to do with awareness and education.
