there's still resistance in allowing an attack totally against russia. they're still very protective of that but you do start to see a bit more to suggest, perhaps they're starting to see different perspectives. one thing that john pointed out though that was interesting, i think they're terrified of the reality of economic sanctions affecting them here. we are in the midst of lockdown here in shanghai and the country right now is dealing with a covid flare-up, that is real economic repercussions here and still dealing with the outbreak two years ago and add to that, anything to come between the tension of russia and ukraine and if happens to affect here the chinese economy, you can see that china is going to perhaps take action to avoid that. >> it's a great point. china's economy is vulnerable with the covid lockdown there, further sanctions from the west. they must be viewing with a little bit of fear. david culver, john harwood, thanks so much. oil prices are once again on the rise.
