We are pretty much going to be able to do that. 1851. Traders have been having trouble with the market because it gets almost there and turning back and retrieving. So it has been difficult. I wore green up for a reason today. I knew i would need it. Heading to olivia sterns. The king of green, shares of , shares up almost 20 . Speaking of green, j. C. Penney shares are up. They think sales will increase in margins will expand. Also watching ebay, a story you know well. Carl icahn and ebay stepping up the attacks on one another. Carl icahn has written his third letter in four days, accusing ebay of having conflicts of interest among the board erectors. Back. S firing their ceo says carl icahn is well entertaining and false and dead wrong. Also watching shares of other bees down come in pretty much flat. This is after dan loeb says he is willing to work with sothebys image meant. Softening his tone a little bit. Back in october he wrote a scathing letter to the board, calling for the ceo to resign. Now he says he is willing to work with them. 10 stake in the auction house. Moving to our big story. Jan brewer slapped down the right wing of her own party last night. Vetoing a bill that would have allowed Business Owners to refuse to serve based on religious belief. I have one example in arizona where a religious owners redo it religious liberty has been i elated. It is broadly worded and could result in negative consequences. After weighing all of the arguments, i have vetoed senate bill 1062. Business leaders and politicians widely opposed this measure. Even though the bill has been be towed, has the damage already done to arizonas reputation . Even though the bill has been has the damage are ready been done to the reputation . Lets see what glenn hammer thanks. Sears. Dd i will start with you, todd. If i am a Business Owner looking to expand, why on earth would i go to arizona right now. The fact that she had to deliberate, thinking about passing a discriminatory ill that would be law and her state. After Martin Luther king and the discrimination around this, my question would be what is next . How did it get this far . Arizona is in great shape. I take issue with the comments just made. The Arizona Business Community stop peoplented to who look to get migrants and demand their papers. Arizona has a pretty horrible track records when it comes to the civil rights issues. Arizona is a very welcoming state. The governor reinforces that. But may give an example. I am a new your guy. She had to be toe veto it. Desk. Eans i got to her that has to hurt the reputation. Within two days, the bill was vetoed. Her, iimportant for think it was pretty clear a few days ago. A few days . Why not right away . This was one of the biggest stories of the country and in the world for several days. This was not simply a case of the governor vetoing it. It was very important to explain the reasons behind it. A welcoming state. Anywhere in the country and anywhere in the world. Partam not quite sure what of discrimination is welcoming. If i moved there from new york with my partner, we would not be recognized that we could be discriminated against at any sort of accommodation you are talking about. Like that is absurd. Any business that would want to move to new york we have to let go and talk. Look at new yorks business climate. Have to let glen talk. We are a welcoming state. The governor vetoed the bill. The bill was vetoed. A terrific business climate. Are enjoying chamber of commerce weather. Moving up every major index. I am not going to say you guys do not have great weather am a but if i were a corporation looking to open a new plan or factory or office, i might think twice about doing it and arizona right now. I would feel very comfortable coming here. In fact, this is you also want to be able to recruit the best talent. Wherever you established the place of business. Part of that means a diverse workforce. I do not know if you will feel comfortable moving to arizona if that is the kind of sentiment. Protectna does not employees. You can legally be fired just ,or being gay or lesbian regardless of the bill. The fact that this is actually a welcoming a company can fire you because you are gay . Arizona is one of the states that does not protect gay and lesbian workers. I think one of the things that this bill and i think part of what was going on and this was very positive, because it was not just the arizona immunity that came out in full support in terms of the governor governorse bill but from all across the country. Five republicans running for governor coming out against the bill. You had nationally prominent republican politicians, including mitt romney and Newt Gingrich coming out in support of this. Him some give credit for not letting it get further than her desk . She is a republican, so you would not expect that kind of majority of republicans support nondiscrimination for gay and lesbian people. The fact that he says all of the list of companies on it took the companies coming out and 15 plus ceo speaking out before she did it. I do not think that is great leadership on her part. To some extent have to check out what the constituency wants. She cannot make a decision for the state of arizona based on and techs in new York Companies in San Francisco tell her what to do. Not just Investment Banks. Is every major that she has to worry about what the people of arizona want before she worries about what the people of petsmart want her to do . Petsmart certainly did not want her to ok this. Customerswe treat all with dignity and respect, regardless of race color or discrimination. She needs to do what is best for the state economy. Lose if you are going to all of the corporations petsmart is based in phoenix. I am sure that smart apple is more on her with her and petsmart. You have to think about that. Those are jobs. Absolutely. Not just the gay and lesbian people employed by the companies. The people who care about gay and lesbian people. There is a much bigger impact to this. Not just the gay and lesbian people. A religious component as well. Effectively it would have allowed for religious discrimination. Before we go, what can the state do now to repair the image. We arereality is, here talking about this and being perceived as a state not welcoming to everyone. How does it repair the image now . The governor the code the bill and we need to focus on the things that the people of arizona care about, and continuing to make the state more attractive for business. I believe next week we will talk about the Major Company the latest Major Company opening up. On meat andocus potato issues that reflect arizona values. Those are ones where we are a very welcoming society. Does that mean stopping politicians in their tracks when they think about putting bills like this in front of the governor . I would say at this point it is a fair statement. I think we will leave it there. Thank you for joining us today. Hey big spenders. Lower their operators are ready do this. I really like the sound of this. I think matt does, too. It makes any make sense. He who pays more should get the bigger reward . No caps on this is not a new concept for airlines. Airlines have been reporting rewarding those with the 50 bonus for years now. The 1000 flight for boston ma you could be getting a ton. I think in general this is a cut for consumers, especially even if you are a business traveler, if you travel for leisure him a probably buying for leisure. Probably buying the cheapest tickets. Even though the business travelers will get extra miles here and there \ said weuch . Delta are making big changes but will let you know at the end of the year. Thehere does that leave other airlines . This is a really bold move for a major carrier. I think united will wait and see. I think there could be a ton of flyers. Frequent fliers are not happy about the change. I think american and u. S. Are too busy with the merger. Do not want to do anything to wrangle existing customers. If delta gets away with this and profits continue to saor, they could get away with this. Let me ask you about delta. And i have found a lot of different airlines. I have had pretty good experiences on delta. With the customer service. I was quite late for a flight recently and if it was not for the goodwill of the people working at the desk, i probably would not have made it. That i was shocked by. Lex because that never happens. That is the only time it has ever happened. Look at twitter. Delta is the best on the customer service. I actually think theyre pretty good. United brings up the rear. I would say five years ago not the case but seems recently they have improved. Overall people seem to have improved. I think they are banking on that. I think they are banking on again to the customer and scaling back the frequent flyer miles. United the worst is what youre saying gekko g . Miles wise they are pretty good. All of these airlines are need to nickel and dime you. They really have to a cousin is so hard to move up the price of a ticket. People will balk at that instantly. If they now charge you 100 for a bag and every glass of scotch is 10, then they make money. You do not have to check the bag. Carryon. Always important to look at the big victor. Southwest still get free checked bags. Calculate that into the cost. Skis do not fit in the carryon. Got you there. Leader in feeshe and proud of it. Is happeningt what and you wonder if you will start to see the political will succumb there. Maybe three divisions, or at of theo . A lot European Countries were forced together for political reasons. Stephen price. We will talk about his heart pounding gravity. How do you make something out of nothing . Asked Stephen Price. The mastermind behind this scene from gravity. Here is a look at how he filled the void. No sound in space. Astronaut is off , a lot of theng words critics have used to describe Stephen Price work. The academy of grief. He is up for the oscar this sunday. Joins matt and i right now from l. A. Congratulations. Dealing pretty good . Feels amazing. You could never have imagined. I had justo say, finished setting up my 7. 1 surround sound with a huge 700 watt subwoofer and gravity was the first film i watched by myself with a cup of tea and it experience,a moving and mainly because of the soundtrack. Although obviously George Clooney was ok, and Sandra Bullock did a pretty good job. I am just saying, it is a film that showcases sound or than a lot of others. Were you nervous when you got the original assignments . It was kind of strange timing. When i first had the meeting, it felt like an exciting opportunity. You have this movie where there was no sound so what could music be . The idea that there would be conventional music was booted out. , but were sonting busy half the time that i only hadized afterwards what we taken on. There was a lot of tonality, being very dissonant. With that part of your thinking going in . That you wanted to create this environment that was not like happy feelgood music . The whole job from my point of view is to take you up in space with ryan and the lead character. If she was feeling overwhelmed, we needed the audience to feel like that. You look at everything you could do. Always following the story and taking the audience on the journey. A let me ask you about being composer nowadays. Did you think as a kid you were going to grow up and be a composer, or do you see that as the best outlet for you to now . Ss creativity in music the main music was a thing from very young. Anded to love songwriting that kind of thing. And in their early 20s i got my first job with a film composer. It was only when i started moving music around that i realized what is it could do to a story and this light went on. It after youte see a video or sometimes after you see a clip . Sometimes you have a few thematic ideas. For me, it is always when the movie is there and you can see the performances. All of these Different Things combined and what the movie will need to. How long did it take . Trying to compose the masterpiece after seeing the actual footage. How long can it take you go a yearis it was about before the end of the process. Usually it is one of the last people on. With this, i got a year. A year of experiments in trying things. This was a luxury. You got to try a lot of things in the course of a year. Really making this experience. I wonder who your favorite composer is. John williams obviously a huge one. What do you think of when you think of the greatest . Ilio marconi. Your favorite composers . When i was growing up, when things like back to the future happens, these incredible geometric gold practical theatrical scores, i thought that seems like a great job. The world and movie. I love all of those that he does. Do you go at that project differently than Something Like gravity . Obviously it is a big comedy and drinking in an old english town. Obviously different than floating around in space . I did that right after i finished gravity. Wasd that thing where there everything was questioned and then to do romantic and scifi and loaded energy. I like going from thing to thing and looking at it slightly differently. Lex do you get to pick out the nonoriginal music used . I loved the Country Music that clooney had on his radio the entire time. Certainly that song, that was there from the script that all funds oh had found. We tried a few things during the process but it seems a perfect for the character. Songswere huge amount of where the late 1980s and 1990s. They were written in the script and they had a meaning to the story. So it varies. A lot of the things are done very early and my job is to go around them and make it as seamless as possible. Have you ever been in the situation you just did not like the film personally . How involved in the store and you have to be to get the best it is a go with it . Weird thing in that you can always find something at you like about them. You find something to love in anything. Only a few years back you might look back and say oh. You are trying to make it the best it can possibly be. What is next . After winning an oscar, i guess this guy is the limit. Or assuming you win. The next thing i am doing, a thing called believe. They have a tv show that starts very soon. Doing that at the moment. It is a world war ii tankbased foam. Lots of Different Things. Brad pitt and world war ii tanks. you cannot go wrong with that. I will preorder my ticket. Good luck to you. We will be watching. Oscarnominated composer. Google fiber rolling out slowly in small towns across the country. Cory johnson am one of them. We will talk to him next. Dam loans latest move that some of these. Google built a bow he meant business i selling advertisements on the search engines. Now there is hardly a business and technology the company is not chasing. Newest business is called google fiber, high Speed Internet access that the Company Claims leaves the competitors in the dust. All of that comes at a cost. Cory johnson took a deep dive into the business. Google fiber in an attempt to jumpstart his best to him it unimaginable speed. 1000 megabits per second. 100 times faster. Analysts think as many as givingion customers, google fiber nearly as big of a Customer Base as comcast 24 million. Here with uson from provo, utah. How has google fiber been received in that town . I am sure they are all psyched. Like a pretty cool thing when you see your internet speed. Like when you went from dialup to dsl. Dramatically different. Other companies are coming into lower the cost. And lowering the cost. Listen to what the mayor had to say talking about google fiber. Googlele are able to get fiber for free at a reduced speed based on the agreement the city has with google. But from what i understand, if they do not sign up for it in time, they lose the out return it they lose the opportunity and do not think enough is being done to get the word out on that. I think it is honestly to tell. Too early to kansas city saw a lot of stars move to take advantage of that in the Business Community embrace that and saw the Credit Rating improved. Crediting Credit Ratings cited that as of benefit that kansas city had above all the other midwestern cities. I wonder who needs one gigabit per second Internet Connection . The businesses . Bandwidth is like money or sex. The right arm mount is more. To some degree, we do not know what will be possible with the extra bandwidth, but i think users do not ever want to go back. I do not think i will always need more money. Someday i could have enough money. But i will swap more sex and internet. Want more sex and internet. Theoming up, talking about auction house. Why dan loeb once to be on this other bees board next. Thebys board next. Activism out there today, and were not talking about carl icon also making headlines today. Talking about dan loeb taking aim at sothebys auction house. Olivia sterns with the story. Dan says he is willing to work with management, which sounds very surprising that there is a caveat. If they allow him to put three people he chooses on the board. He istely sounds like softening his tone. You remember he wrote this gaping letter back in october criticizing sothebys. Ticizing the expressive excessive spending culture. There was a point a couple of years ago when they were paying for bill for bill rubric. He wants to get on the board and shake ends up. Does not sound unusual to me. Private or public law firms . A lot of the big privilege packages have gone away. He said today on the phone with Stephanie Ruhle is my hope is we put the differences behind us and work constructively with the board and ceo. It will be interesting if they can. If you tell a ceo you think you should be fired or leave his position and then a week later you are working with the guy or a month later, that relationship has to be frothy frosty. Out and did come respond. They said they were disappointed. They did come out and respond. Of course he wants to put as many people as he possibly can on the board. That is what activists do. You are also seeing as of late, and we have talked about this a lot, Companies Responding a little bit more to activists on the in gauging because they figure the alternative is maybe they should, right . If you look at the historical examples, we see carl icon ask a company to do something. A Management Board flails against it. Eventually a leave and do what carl wanted them to do in the first place. Down,rl icon has asked but has he made money off of apple . Definitely. Carl icahn. In january they announced a special dividend. Also said they would do a buyback. Said they will consider selling off major real estate holdings. They have a very fancy glass headquarters. They also have very posh eggs. They are now considering selling those because why do you need such fancy offices . A fresh set is like of eyes saying we want to revamp this. Maybe in a lot of situations that is good. Obviously situations where it has not been good. He said no one is Holding Management accountable. Formulating a strategy that will make them competitive with christies. Also the major criticism, that they have fallen behind in the contemporary. I will tell you, if i were going to auction some things off, i would want to be wined and dined and do it with a company that has fancy offices. Good point. I do. Hear that . He wants to be wined and dined. I will be going to detroit tomorrow to build a new truck. Inwill see what else happens detroit. Sometimes what happens in detroit stays in detroit. The same thing if you are a company. Even for that money. The market is ending at a new record high. Turning to another story, we will talk about the host of dirty jobs. He is getting his hands dirty in the name of American Manufacturing with an ad for walmart. He thinks we should invest in u. S. Factories. Walmart has made a pledge to purchase products made in the u. S. The ad did not go over well with some who say that they have been unfairly treated by the company. They are taking it out on my throw. He joins us right now. Great to see you. It has been a crazy couple of weeks. Tell us what has been going on. If the couple months ago, walmart called and said that we are big fans of your foundation. My foundation. It focuses on retraining issues. They said that they had a new campaign called work is a beautiful thing. They wanted me to narrate the commercial. It is regular people doing work in a factory. It concludes with walmart pledge to contribute a quarter of a trillion dollars in u. S. Manufacturing. It is an appeal for money. I loved it. It ran during the olympics. After i thought, i got up and walked over to my basement page to see facebook page, to see what was going on, and people were talking about it. Not all of the chatter was copper entry. I copied and pasted a few of the remarks and i answered them honestly. I posted them and went to bed. Then 7 Million People were waiting in and having this giant conversation about walmart and unions and manufacturing and me being a terrible capitalist. Lets talk about that issue. They are trying to say, you are a guy who effectively speaks for the everyday man. You are out there in the trenches. You are with people who do very hard things to make a living. They are thinking do not like the idea you suddenly being paid by a company like walmart because walmart is a threat to american jobs. Are they a threat . They only employ 2 Million People. I am not sure what the threat is. Jobs,10 years of dirty there is a lot cognitive dissonance going on around this topic. A lot of people would glance at that show and say, theres a guy who is concerned exclusively with the welfare of the working class. Of course, i am a huge fan of all of that, but dirty jobs is a tribute to risk and entrepreneurship and business. I never really looked at it as a onedimensional thing. To me it was very holistic. With respect to this whole campaign, the cognitive dissonance applies to walmart. Ofple have a very clear idea them being good or bad. For a company or a person who you have been trained to dislike, when they suddenly do seven you agree with like investing meeting late in the u. S. Economy, it creates a weird sort of tension. I think that tension has been playing out and i got myself in the center of it. I really do not mind. This initiative in my own foundation, if they were in then diagrams, there will be a lot of shared real estate. I am happy to be a part. You are investing in america with this campaign. Let me share with you an interview that i did. Head of thehe companys investment. This is what he had to say about minimum wage. The debate in this country has been around minimum wage. That is not a good discussion to have. It is not a good discussion for a country to have. The issue is that the middle has been hollowed out. Once you start, and the starting wage can be determined, the opportunity to grow does not exist the way are there any 1970s and 1980s. Should corporations be doing more on the minimum wage fraud . Should we be paying people . Do you think the free market determines where all shakes out . It is determined entirely by the price people are willing to pay. Whether the thing is a car, a truck, or a job. There are a lot of schools of thought that you can affect the outcome by fixing it. I do not know. Why people take the position that they take. They cannot just look the message. They have to look at the company and search. I get it. Have now, in my inbox, i from anm letters Organization Called jobs with justice. They want to have the same conversation. I am very sympathetic to the workers that they represent. I understand the fight that they are having, but my battle is different. I set up a foundation because i think the best way for people who are unhappy in their work and really feeling trapped is to actually learn a skill that is in demand. When you make yourself more marketable, you might be able to have a bigger conversation. These guys are fighting very hard to increase the amount of money that you can get for doing a job that you fundamentally may not like or an employer who you do not seem to feel appreciated five. It is all well and good, but i cannot find fight. You are shilling for the oppressors. Isnt that fantastic. I have to redo my whole business card. Mike rowe, we appreciate you joining us today. Coming up next, peter cook will have an extensive interview with the chairman of the house ways and means committee. They will discuss the new tax plan. And elon musk has already made a name for himself with the electric car. We will find out how he is preparing to transform the power industry. That is coming up next. The house ways and means chairman has served up a hornets nest in washington. There is a plan to overhaul the tax code. The tradeoff is he also does away with a long list of popular tax breaks for special interest groups. He is under fire from all directions. Peter cook is standing by. Thanks very much. Im standing by with dave camp. We appreciate you taking the time out. You had to know that putting this plan out, you would get fire from all sides. Why did you do this . Look, our economy is growing. I will not accept a minimum wage economy. I will not accept the fact that we are not creating jobs. To grow this economy and create jobs. One way to do that is through taxfree. Tax reform. We need to help people and create jobs and make america a better place. You are reducing the number of tax brackets from three. You are also reducing the top rate on the corporate side and the individual side. You are doing away with a lot of tax breaks. You have industry folks, republicans and democrats in him and you over these changes. Are you ready for that . We are moving forward on this. Rate in america was the lowest in the world. 3525. Rom 99 of taxpayers will be a 25 or less. We are moving forward. To do that, we have to make tradeoffs. We can reform our tax code and do away with complexities. 25 . N reduce the code by 95 of americans will not be itemizing the small Business Owners. Because we simplify and because the lower the rate, we can grow the economy by 20 . If we can get 20 growth, that translates to 2 million new jobs. Jobs and the economy are the number one issue facing americans. Americans want us to do something about it. This is one way to do something about it. It is wrote growth reform. It is a sure way to get tax lobbyists running all over the the to undermine your lobbyists your efforts. There is this tax on large Financial Institutions. It sounds a lot like what the president proposed during the financial crisis. Tell justification for targeting individuals . Is fixed banks. Six banks. They are going from a 35 rate. There are not a lot of loopholes to close. They are getting a tremendous tax break. It is unimportant tradeoff. Rates, are going to lower and frankly many Financial Institutions will be better under this plan. They will be better because the economy is going to grow. A nonpartisan joint committee. If we get growth, everyone does other. As president kennedy said, a rising tide lifts all boats. Some small guys who were hit by this set is a bad idea. 11 groups are against this. This bill has broad support. Lets the with the American People have to say about it. People are hungry for jobs. We cannot compete internationally because we have an Outdated International tax cut. We must allow those dollars to be brought back from overseas. They must be invested here in the united states. Some of that investment will be in infrastructure. There are a lot of good things in the tax reform. No bill is perfect. We are open to hearing from people. We have started walking through the tax code with republicans and democrats. We will move forward on this. We will divert money for infrastructure. Thes similar to what president will forward on the table. We have a tax on the wealthiest americans. It felt like what we heard from president obama. What a conscientious on your part . Are you becoming a populist . Glad i do not think Infrastructure Investment is a democratic issue. A lot of republicans want to see the highway get funded. That allows us to look at permanent solution. We do not raise the gas tax and ask americans to contribute more, it is not exactly what president obama was suggesting. Financialf institutions, we are quite different than what president obama was suggesting. What is important is that we need to have a debate. Most americans, Business Leaders and others say, times are good enough. They do not think things will get better. We need to restore the American Dream and the belief that things will get better. If we can grow the economy, we will increase income by 1300 each and every year. It incomes go up, people buy houses and cars. It is important that we move ahead. We must make a detailed draft. As i know how much effort you have put into this. Peoplere not very many who have offered up a detailed plan like this. Now you have your fellow house speaker. Disappointed that he did not bring this to the floor . I think that was dead and it passed. There was a positive effect. We are taking children out of poverty. We need to be persistent around here. Most americans think that things are not good enough. We need to make things better. As an attempt to do it. This is an attempt to do it. The American People sent us here to do that. We need to try to make a difference. That is one way to do it. What would you say to your fellow House Republicans who might support a lot of these toas, but you are asking me do this in an election year. That is a tough decision. Are you putting them on the spot . Are we supposed to do nothing until the election is over . People sent us to work here for two years. We need to work here that entire time. Theres a lot of support from congress. There are a lot of good things in this bill for the American People. Things ando those simple by the code as well, we are right ahead of where we are now. The white house put out a statement that i think is very much about how they want to work with us. I spoke to the Senate Secretary of the treasury. They are cooperating with us. This thing is moving forward. We are doing all the work to make that happen. To putare a brave man this out here in a midterm election. Thank you for joining us on bloomberg. We will be talking back here in washington and across the country for some time to come. Peter, thank you very much. Dave camp. Tesla ceo elon musk wants to build what he calls the Worlds Largest artery factory. Factory. Y it is about more than electric cars. Bitcoin, not my problem. That is what janet yellen had to say. Just one of the exciting stories in todayss roundup. The tesla factory is one step closer to becoming a reality. Elon musk is attempting to get the project off the ground. They have massmarket ambitions. I am excited about this. It is a huge step for tesla. It is a big step for the u. S. Economy and u. S. Manufacturing. There is mythology behind it. Is only 5 billion. In the grand team of things, it is not even more money than elon musk has himself as a private citizen. Jobs in anate 67,000 industry where we need to get a foothill football, and that is battery power. This is something that president obama has been talking about since he got elected. This will create jobs. More work. Ng us it will do something for tesla that will make it more than just a car builder. Battery toe enough produce 500,000 teslas per year. They will do other stuff with this. For example, the u. S. Collected a lot of power from solar cells, wind farms. It toe trouble getting its destination or storing. These batteries will do that. There is more use for a batteries . You will be able to store power that you have created and run effectively cities with that power. It will work in combination with the supercharger stations. Where is it coming from . He has not chosen yet. There are different states. Utah, california, nevada. Nevada versus california. There are different incentives to be in nevada. Apparently arizona has its own issues. No, they are a very welcoming state. [laughter] coming up, is that the point in your bag . Dsa is screening passengers for the virtual currency. Tsa. E, ah, the it is time for the roundup. These are the stories we are tracking. We have olivia joining us. What a pleasure. It always is. You are one lucky guy. Who me . That is true. I think that every day at 4 20 p. M. We were speaking about janet yellen earlier. She testified before the Senate Banking committee. The testimony was rescheduled because of the bad weather. There was an annual report on monetary policy. She reiterated that the fed keep monitoring to determine if recent weakness in the economy was temporary. Heres what she had to say. If theave indicated that economy progresses as we expect tod, we continue reducing the case of purchases in measured steps. That would mean we would enter and completely sometime next fall. Did you hear what she said . She basically used a lot of words to say absolutely nothing. A lot of analyst said that the markets rally because she said that if the economy does weekend, the fed will reconsider the case of the taper. It may be obvious, but you have to say it. Glad she is following in ben bernanke and Alan Greenspan hotspots that by using a lot of words to say not very much at all. It is very different from before when we heard her and she gave her testimony. She was pretty poor coming. You wonder if there has been anything going on. Hey janet, dont tell them what you think. We have the bad jobs report. We have the bad weather. That is a part of this. Bitcoin, matts fever topic. Authority from the bed with respect to decline bitcoin. It would be appropriate for congress to ask questions about the legal structure for virtual currencies. Anythingdid not say there, but ben bernanke had said that there could be room for digital currency. For the room . What does that mean . I dont know if you were here that day. Not on set. You and adam were interviewing him. He talked about bitcoin and he was negative. Shocking. But he said it with the current the that does not have a feature because it is not regulated. I have yet to hear one person talking either of bitcoin. She was diplomatic. She said that it merits further study. She was falling back on her rule. It is interesting that she was even openminded. Greenspan was not. If you are going to say anything, they in that voice. It is green, like woody allen. Quiet it is not her voice. It is the way shes eight. She speaks. Librarian this very image. I dont think that honeymoon will last. I want to point out another story. You know how i am a big fan of the tsa and the work they do for this country. They attempted to screen an worker for bitcoin. After stopped by the tsa one of the security staffers said that he or she saw bitcoin in his bag and needed to check it. They saw the digital currency. Obviously there was no bitcoin ishis bag because bitcoin virtual. But the tsa i have to give them a lot of credit for knowing what bitcoin is and making the connection. He was making a selector he was wearing a selector that is equine sweatshirt that said bitcoin. You cannot bring more than 10,000 cash out of the country at any time. The whole idea is that the tsa is trying to prevent something illegal from happening. You cannot even carry bitcoin. How does that work . The tsa knew what bitcoin is. Shocking. And they knew that it is easy to transport in a small amount of space. I give them points for getting that far. The fact that they did not realize that it is only carried 1s over networks the tsa is slowly learning. Someday they will not take my toothpaste away. Whenever we do equine stories, we use these animations of coins. Why do we do that . We should do a matrix. Streaming down the wall. I have another story for you guys. There is a new role of chief economics adviser. E resignationris of pimco. Timell spend 50 of his working and 50 with family and book projects. There are a lot of questions. It will keep him on. It is true. Mind whot knows . Who knows of this will be an insult to bill gross. According to the wall street journal story, he has brought in mediators to bring these two guys together. One could even interpret this to say that they wanted to also. He turned the name into the word lego. We had a fire in our woodworking factory. We made the decision to stop the production of wooden toys. From that time onwards, we focus solely on the lego brick. I have six bricks with the tubes in the same color. 900,000mbine these in ways. I do not have the imagination to combine these bricks in over one million combinations. But it is possible. We started to lose faith in the lego brand. We started to spread our focus out to various areas of our business. We wanted to open up new lego lands around the world. We have huge tasks that take the focus away from her or business. But our core will always be the lego brick. That is what we need to focus on. That is what people are experts in. I think right now as we move in to february, there is some uncertainty. The vix is holding. What is your outlook for the bif vix . Is a higher floor. It is a couple of things that are out there. How is the fed going to handle the situation often mark situation . We will find the market reacted positively, but that is something that is in the cards moving forward, and what is going on is important as well. It will come down to weighing these Different Things in the market is marketplace. You mentioned what is going on overseas. Everybody is watching the crisis that is unfolding in the ukraine.
