That is enough to take some twigs, even branches, off trees. Temperatures at the end of the afternoon will vary from about the high teens to maybe 20 in london and much fresher off western scotland. But the vast majority of the uk is in the sunshine. And in the southerly winds, the temperatures will be rising, back up to 25 in london, and 20 expected in newcastle.
