been speaking to nesta mcgregor about jason kenny's achievement. it seems like a lifetime ago, sitting up watching the track session and i think everyone including myself we expected laura kenny to be the banker for the gold medal and jason had an outside chance and it was the opposite. laura had a bit of a nightmare in the first race of the omnium with the first race of the omnium with the crash that was not her fault and then a small mistake in the elimination race and then she was out of the running. she was disappointed and we and her were expecting more but it was made up by the truly spectacular performance from jason kenny. absolutely incredible, i have never seen a kieren final like it before, particularly at world level for someone like jason to be able to launch from the front of the bunch and have no reaction from the rest of the guys. we were standing open
