Like all other societies and the Business Community is mobilise themselves in order to preserve the Paris Agreement as a central piece. Also on our programmes, Breaking News from the philippines, a Tourists Apartment in manila is on lockdown following explosions and gunshots inside the hotel. Hello and welcome to the special bbc News Programme on the paris climate deal. Donald trump will be walking into the rose garden of the white house and hes expected to announce that hes the paris climate agreements, lawmakers have already been told and are now waiting for the official news. We will bring you that as we get it. That is the scene live in the rose garden now. You can see steve bannon, a big supporter of pulling out of the agreement along with other officials. They are waiting, the press is lined up and as soon waiting, the press is lined up and as soon as waiting, the press is lined up and as soon as donald trump appears he is expected to make his announcement and supporters of the white house have been receiving e mails in the last 30 minutes of the Talking Points on why it is a good idea for america to pull out of the agreement. That is what is leading to indications that is what the president has decided to do. He has gone back and forth if he should do this and has heard competing voices. Steve bannon in the blue shirt there has been a supporter of pulling out asi has been a supporter of pulling out as i said. Of course the president s daughter is opposed to pulling out. It does seem like he has decided that america as we are hearing would get a better deal is what he is expected to say if it pulls out of the paris accord. Lets go live now to our state Department Correspondent at the white house. Barber what are you hearing . Steve bannon and his wing have won this battle because according to Talking Points, the president is about to announce he is going to withdraw america from the paris accord. Hes going to say it is a bad dealfor americans and he will keep his pledges to support American Workers, he will say that it is a reminder of us competitive bonus and that the us can cut its own emissions and its own emissions without being part of the accord. What we have been wondering which way the president will go, it looks as if he will take the step to pull america out of the Paris Agreement and we expect him to make that formal than the next few moments. Barbara as you know the president has been hearing from a lot of new people over the last few days, who else has been to talk to him, notjust days, who else has been to talk to him, not just politicians days, who else has been to talk to him, notjust politicians and not members of the white house but Business Leaders as well . Thats interesting because a lot of leaders who have come and have urged him to stay in the agreement for several reasons, one is that they will get information from investors and Shareholder Services in agreement that can do reasonably with Climate Change and the whole trajectory of business in the Energy Sector is moving in the direction of renewables, moving in the direction of renewa bles, clea n moving in the direction of renewables, clean energy and they wa nt renewables, clean energy and they want the United States to be at the tail to have some influence of that. They have made some decisions in terms of Global Operations thinking about, assuming that they would be pa rt about, assuming that they would be part of the calculation so it is something that has come strongly from the Business Community. Joining me now is republican strategist ryan christie, ron let me start with you. You are one of the people getting e mails from the white house. Whether Talking Point on what the president would say and why he thinks its a good idea for america to do so, what is the position of the white house . Their position is it isa the white house . Their position is it is a bad deal with bad in all capitals. They say it is crippling the American Comedy and it will not reduce Emission Levels and one thing they say, china and india are not going to be held to the standards under this accord and that is what they are saying and they are emphasising that they are keeping a campaign promise. My understanding is that this will be about American Jobs, particularly American Jobs is that this will be about American Jobs, particularly americanjobs in the Coal Industry and not wanting to see that industry die . Correct in the pledge was to find their way to get the Coal Industry running again, its interesting how they are doing this, i dont think these jobs are coming back so it could be a promise to those in the coal regions but it doesnt mean that those jobs will come back. Nathan you worked on the paris climate deal, i imagine this isa paris climate deal, i imagine this is a sad day for you . It is tough to see the United States which had been a leader in getting this agreement together, working with the World Community to address one of the fundamental challenges of our day and having established a robust infrastructure to deal with that as an international community, to see that be pulled away pretty abruptly by this administration for some kinds ofjobs like we heard about the fewjobs which are certainly pa rt of the fewjobs which are certainly part of the economy but on the other hand, dont make up a large amount. What about the point that this does not bind the developing countries, emerging economies to their Emissions Targets . The whole structure of paris was designed to allow countries to generate what they believe they could deliver in terms of their own emissions reductions. That applies to the United States, it also applies to other countries. We had a level Playing Field in recognising the sovereignty of countries but also setting up a structure whereby countries could collectively look around, all act together to move the Global Community forward to was the important goals that we set. Isnt that part of the problem for trumps supporters and that is why the white house is saying today in Classic Trump Rhetorically that this is a bad deal and they believe they can negotiate a better deal . Because they think america is paying too much in other countries are being let off . Absolutely and the manner in which this Talking Point was written was specifically personal to the obama administration, they said they negotiated this poorly and what they negotiated this poorly and what the Trump Supporters wanted to see was this going to the senate so we could have hearings and a broader discussion but that is the narrative they are pushing. We are still waiting for the president and in the meantime lets go to new york. Michelle, we know the Business Community have broadly been in favour of staying in the Paris Agreement and yet the argument from the white house is the Paris Agreement is a jocular, who was rights job killer, who is right . Donald trump has been favourable to the Coal Industry and when you go to places like West Virginia or kentucky where i have spent a lot of time many cds communities were coal miner shutdown, it is very devastating and if you look at total Employment Fingers were Coal Industry and all of america, you are looking at about 70,000 jobs, that includes back office jobs, secretaries, everything, may seize a Big American Retailer employs double the amount of people, so there it is a sense of how much impact will this have even if it does boost coal and secure energy, have even if it does boost coal and secure energy, iiow have even if it does boost coal and secure energy, how much impact it will have onjobs, there is a real question there. Elon musk have and other Business Leaders have said they will sever ties if youd was out of this accord . You have many big businesses in silicon valley, elon musk with tesla who said he put everything he could to convey his ideas to the president and said he might have to step off or step away from that advisory board. You have others, apple, microsoft, walmart, general electric, firms that are concerned that america will see Leadership Notjust on a global stage that the ramifications of that when it comes to competition with countries are china who have pledged massive investment in two renewals, the question that this message sends is where does that leave the future for clean energy in america, and will businesses suffer retell a tree measures . These are all unknowns at this moment and that is the fear big business has. Ron this Economy Factor is an unknown because it seems the key could be awash, the science saying that emissions are down, talked about politics, how important is it for President Trump to deliver this . Its important for him to deliver because this is what he complained on. A lot of themes that came out of a Campaign Work if we are going to make America Great again and we will find ways to pull out of plans and paris was on the top of the list. Something i worry about is how does this relate to americas position as a leader in the world . When you have all of the countries in the wild side in this accord and we break this unilaterally without any sort of lifeline or limits then what does that mean for the roles it puts them in the Illustrious Company of nicaragua and syria in the countries in the world that arent part of it. Let me talk to about Market Forces basin, something i normally loath to talk about, Market Forces in america are dictating that america is moving in the direction of reducing emissions with a without the paris accord so people who support the president might say why do we need to have the paris accord, Carbon Emissions have been flat for three yea rs emissions have been flat for three years now, Climate Change emissions flat for three years and our Carbon Pollution is down to 92 lovers, we dont need the accord, we find without a . That a good question but the response to it which is fair, this is good news in the discussion, that Energy Technology costs for the Clean Energy Technologies have been dropping rapidly over the last decade, increasingly rapidly over the last five years some degree are continuing to surprise us. We are at a point where solar is competitive and over 20 states with the cheapest fossil energy. We expect the trend to continue and that is all for the good, that will drive additional reductions in our admissions in the country relative to what we thought might happena country relative to what we thought might happen a couple of years ago. On the other hand, this is a really big effort that we are trying to undertake, to reach the long term targets that we know we have to hit globally. If you need when you are negotiating the Paris Agreement that the cost of fracking, of Natural Gas Extraction came down as much as it had and meant america no longer relied on fossil fuels to the degree has done which are felt it was urgent to have a global agreement . First of all i think we know about the gas prices at that time, a lot of that had happened at that time already, it is really the solar, wind and other Clean Energy Technologies that we have seen additional reductions in and that is good. A question on the global agreement is needed is absolutely yes, we absolutely need on because this is a collective action problem, the whole World Community is trying to wrestle with this difficulty, how to wrestle with this difficulty, how to restructure our Energy Economy in other parts away from the things that are polluting. To accelerate that are polluting. To accelerate that beyond what a Natural Market process would be because we know the Price Problems that are caused, health and environmental problems which wont go away as quickly without Government Action policy as much as we need to. I know you are sceptical of this accord and if america should have signed this and taking it to the senate, what do you ta ke taking it to the senate, what do you take of what nathan is sayings its important for the United States to have a seat at the table. Whether or not you agree with the science or the accord, its important to have the accord, its important to have the United States Standing Shoulder to shoulder with ally saying lets talk this through and find a way we can find talk this through and find a way we canfind a talk this through and find a way we can find a compromise. Will america lose global leadership, the president doesnt believe Climate Change is an issue so why would he Wa Nt To Change is an issue so why would he want to be a leader . Thats why he will pull out in the manner he expected to. He doesnt believe it and if he doesnt then the United States doesnt buy the United States has an obligation to continue to talk, thats an important thing, about Climate Change and discuss the science, does it or does not exist on what should we do as nations . Nathan other countries are saying the president can do what he wants to do, we dont like that hes pulling out of we are staying committed, it does not look like there will be a Domino Effect in terms of Emissions Targets . That is correct. That was one of the questions going into this whether the structure which relies on what i would call a cycle of positive action with countries getting together and everybody looking and observing other countries acting and then continuing. Because of that we we re then continuing. Because of that we were wondering whether a big country would pull out of the whole thing would pull out of the whole thing would fall. What has been heartening is we have seen even in recent days, the most important countries, the highest emissions doubling down and said we remain committed. There is the white house again and the rose garden, we saw Television Anchors standing up in the crowd, they are all getting ready to report to the various american networks. Members of the cabinet of, i spotted the Treasury Secretary this is obviously a big economic issue and the president is framing this in his Talking Points to his supporters in terms of the american economy. Less so in terms of American Global leadership which is being questioned by europeans, lets listen to the president of the european commission. He says pulling out of the deal will not be an easy process for the United States. Translation thats not how it works, The Americans Cannotjust leave the Environmental Protection agreements, President Trump understands that. It would take 3 4 yea rs understands that. It would take 3 4 years after the agreement in November 2016 to leave the agreement. So this notion i am trump, im america, America First and im going to get out of it wont happen. What is the reaction from the white house about this process and how hard it will be for america to get out of it because we will all be watching quite carefully if the president is saying he will pull out of the paris accord or the underlying un framework because that would accelerate the speed with which the white house can actually leave. We had no details on the white house about the process of how President Trump plans to withdraw from the agreement. As you said if he can see just pull out of the paris accord and that is a lengthy process, that is three years until the deadline is mad and then it could take another year for it to go into effect, by that time there might be another election and a president in office he could reverse the thing all over again so that is a big question. As he said, if he decides to pull out of the underlying un framework then that is a different story, that can be done in the year but it is a Nuclear Option because the United States really is out of any Climate Change type of agreement so we dont know exactly how this is going to work. We do know from the Talking Points at the president is prepared to announce that the accord is bad for americans and that he will honour his pledge to help American Workers in his words, that means not being tied to this agreement. We will come back to of course as soon as the president is there. I know you have tojump ona president is there. I know you have Tojump On A Plane To London president is there. I know you have to jump on a plane to london so let me get a thought on you on how this has rolled out, over the last week we have spoken a lot about the issue of russia, intelligence and investigations and today we talk about the paris accord so is the whole way this is presented, who we are talking about paris, waiting for the president 80 minutes past the hour does this suggest it is being choreographed, is itd attraction in subways . Of course. They have taken ca re subways . Of course. They have taken care on this issue, not only having supporters but they are having another call today, they recognise something of this magnitude, the president will get a lot of criticism and they want to make sure they are on the same page so for me it isa they are on the same page so for me it is a choreographed change for them, were not talking about russia or leaks, it gives them something positive they can talk to their base about. We will be back to russia soon about. We will be back to russia soon enough but at the moment paris. Have a great fly to london, we will see you soon have a great fly to london, we will see you soon in washington. Lets go back to michelle in new york, i want to ask you about the issue ofjobs. The way the white house is framing this, can you weigh in on this on something nathan brought up on how manyjobs are actually created in renewa Bles Manyjobs are actually created in renewables versus how manyjobs might be lost in the Fossil Fuel Industry because there seems to be some debates . Some we industry because there seems to be some we spoke about that figure earlier and that many people are employed in the Coal Industry. If you look at how much america has been investing, 44 billion in renewables, we get the sense this is a growing industry. It is an opportunity for a burgeoning sector and the question is does this deal a blow to it, will the money still be forthcoming Going Forward. That is the big unknown. When you go to regions even in West Virginia, we we nt regions even in West Virginia, we went to a Feat Coalmine Spurt who wanted to see a wind farm which we werent able to visit but it is the idea they are using that to retrain former coal miners and getting them into the Renewables Industry so they can geta into the Renewables Industry so they can get a piece of that pie. The question Going Forward like i said is what happens in that industry. The other thing is how much can you revive jobs which is part of Donald Trumps goal when you focus on cold. Its not clear that this will achieve that. A lot of the Business Community are scratching their heads for another reason and that is some of the pledges that the us made as pa rt of of the pledges that the us made as part of the paris accord, they are not legally binding so there is some scratching of the head wondering why pull out of the accord when you could stay part of it, perhaps undo some of the moves we saw introduced under president obama, the clean energy act, things like that that would help the Coal Industry but whilst still maintaining a seat at the table. The Chief Of Staff has just walked out there in the green tyre, that suggest the president will be coming shortly. Im interested to see if the bunker trump is there and her husband jared, there is steve bannon who we spoke about earlier, Yvonne Cattrall has been itll be interesting to see if she turns up. Nathan, let me ask you about the nature of this accord and pulling out and what Jean Claude Junker said, he said accord and pulling out and what jean claudejunkersaid, he said how ha rd jean claudejunkersaid, he said how hard is it for america to actually unravel this process . The statement was correct in that it is a multi year process in a technical legal sense but in another sense if the us doesnt want to participate nothing is forcing him to send a team to participate at this point so i wouldnt make the kind of legal obstacles to pulling out, its not the key question here, its really what does that mean for the leadership of the United States, wouldnt it be before our engagement with other countries, both large developed countries and developing countries and how they see as as pa rt of countries and how they see as as part of the World Community not. L long term question, if america pulls out of the paris accord then it doesnt do so until 2020 correct . Correct. That is an election year, where President Trump to only serve one term in office are not win re election, would it be possible in that case that america had never pulls out or is it a bit like brexit, once the process started you are tied to its . I dont think it is as restrictive as the brexit process, a future administration could re engage with this process. So we could be looking at a pause in americas commitment to emissions reduction . Yes and that is a wider much more important point and how this administration is approaching this. One thing that is extremely clear, the science is robust on this topic, we know is a Global Community that we will need to start reducing emissions over time and we know that the goals by mid century are pretty difficult to hit. What that means is the United States will be a part of this process. Whether it is in the next four years is a question but at some point we will have to re engage. And we will have to do so potentially if donald trump does pull out of the agreement coming from behind as it were later in the game. So that creates both challenges for us but im also is at least leaves the door open. Im sure you have been watching what the president has been doing since he came into office in terms of regulation around Environmental Protection, he has rolled back many regulations around the issues of clea n water regulations around the issues of clean water and clean air, is there an argument that whether or not the president pulled out of the paris accords, america would be missing meet its targets that it set itself under the accord is anyway because of that Deregulation Process . M under the accord is anyway because of that Deregulation Process . It is very likely that the us would not hit the targets of the current structure that donald trump is putting because he is rolling back the very important regulatory actions which were taken over the La St Actions which were taken over the last couple of years. That doesnt preclude future actions and there are potentially other solutions, even republicans of supported, some of them have supported actions of the carbon tax which would be a different kind of solution for reducing admissions that that would fit with a different worldview for the us economy. There are ways that we could get to this targets but potentially not 2025, the target the ford looks very hard to hit at this point. The president has said to supporters of his notes, he sent them to run ford earlier and run showed me, he thinks america has a bad deal. He has said this with seven international arrangements, do you says he wants to go back to the Drawing Board and wants to renegotiate or is this pulling out and no renegotiation . It remains to be seen. I expect the narrative will involve Something Like a bad deal which we have heard before and renegotiation. I have to strongly disagree with the bad deal narrative. The deal was structured so narrative. The deal was structured so the United States would be able to do what was interests of the country even if donald trump trailers has a bad deal and wants to renegotiate, it is still not clear what the us could get that better than the paris accord. It allows us to set our own targets and put other countries developed and developing on the same footing as us in terms of obligating them to pronounce what they want to do, and it provides an opportunity for collectively re evaluating how were doing is a Global Community overtime. |j re evaluating how were doing is a Global Community overtime. I guess a bad dealfrom the president ss Point Of View he doesnt like to be tied to the of things. Being part of any deal, that ties america to emissions, even if those emissions offset by American Scientist is not something he wants to be a part of . That seems more likely and in the context in the discussion of renegotiation questions are raised in what it ultimately means. How the market is going to respond to this michelle . The markets have seen this coming but it is worth pointing out that investors are experiencing something of a shift. They like big business, would like to see the United States stay inside the accord. In part, i say this because on wednesday exxon mobil the oil giant, investors voted by 62 for the oil giant to disclose more on how Climate Change affects their business and what Role Technology plays in all of this Going Forward. You have big businesses moving in One Direction whilst the president seemingly is about to move in another. I think that is why you have many big businesses signing up and posting an ad in the dc papers, i dont know if you saw it in the washington post, i believe the Wall Streetjournal and the washington post, i believe the wall street journal and the New York Times carried ads in the dc addition saying why they thought the country should stay in the agreement because it would be better for business. You are talking with nathan about renegotiation there, businesses, Ceos Renegotiation there, businesses, ceos are key you are in a stronger position when youre at the table to get a better deal. But this is the president of business and jobs, this is the president who spent countless hours with cameras around him sitting next to americas ceos, why would he defied on this issue . M depends what kind of business you run and where you are in the country. As we have seen many in the Coal Industry, Murray Energy is one of them, that is in favour of the step we expect donald trump to announce. There are others, Peabody Energy which put out an interesting statement saying well if we pull out of the welcome it because we think it isa of the welcome it because we think it is a bad deal but if we stay in it, there are opportunities to be had. It depends who you speak to. The us Chamber Of Commerce to has a job to represent a broad array of opinions on the Business Community ta ke opinions on the Business Community take a slightly different tact to global corporations. They also represent smaller more domestic companies, some of those worry about the rise in energy costs for the business side it really depends on what type of business you are. Michelle thank you. We have been given the one minute warning. The president was due to speak at 3pm and it is now 3 30pm but we have been given the one minute warning said he should be at any moment now. What youre looking at now is portico outside the oval office with the rose garden outside, this is a place to president has favoured for making big announcements of this kind. We will see him walking out and then going to talk to the people gathered in front of the oval office waiting for that decision. Here we have Vice President mike pence taking the podium, and he will introduce the president of the United States. That afternoon. Good afternoon. Members of congress, distinguished guests, on behalf of the first family, welcome to the white house. You know it is the greatest privilege of my life to serve as Vice President. To a president who is fighting every day. Two make America Great again. Since the first day of this administration, President Donald Trump has been working tirelessly to keep the promises he made to the American People, he has been reforming health care, enforcing our laws, ending illegal immigration, rebuilding the military and this president has been rolling back excessive regulations and unfair Trade Practices that were stifling americanjobs. Trade practices that were stifling American Jobs. Thanks to Trade Practices that were stifling americanjobs. Thanks to President Trumps leadership american businesses are growing again. Investing in america again and they are creating jobs in this country instead of Shipping Jobs overseas, thanks to President Donald Trump, america is back. Applause and just last week we all witnessed bold leadership of an american president , on the worlds stage. Putting America First. From the middle east to europe as leader of the free world President Trump reaffirmed historic alliance, Fojuted New Relationships and called on wider world to defeat the threat of terrorism. And by the action the president will announce today, the American People and the wider world will see once again, our president is choosing to put American Jobs and American Consumers first. Our president is choosing to put american energy, and american industry first. And by his action today, President Trump is choosing today, President Trump is choosing to put the forgotten men and women of America First. So with gratitude for his leadership. Applause and admiration for his unwavering commitment to the American People, it is now my high none or and privilege to introduce to you the president of the United States president of the United States President Trump. Applause thank you very much. Thank you. I would like to begin by addressing the Terrorist Attack in manila. We are the Terrorist Attack in manila. We a re closely the Terrorist Attack in manila. We are closely monitoring the situation, and i will continue to give updates, anything happens during this period of type, but it is really very sad as to what is going on throughout the world, with terror. Our thoughts and or prayers are with all of those affected. Before we discuss the paris accord, i would like to begin with an update on our tremendous absolutely tremendous election progress since election day on november 8th. The economy is starting to come back, and very, very rapidly. We have added 3. 3 trillions in stock market value, to our economy, and more than a million protectjobs, i havejust returned from a trip overseas where we concluded nearly 350 billion of military and Economic Development for the United States creating Hundreds Of Thousands Ofjobs it was a very very successful trip. Believe me. Applause thank you. Thank you. In my meetings at the g7, we have taken historic steps to demand fair and reciprocal trade that gives americans a level Playing Field against other nations. We are also working very hard for peace in the middle east, and perhaps even peace between the israelis and the palestinians. Our attacks on terrorism are greatly stepped up and you see that, you see it all over. From the Previous Administration, including getting many other countries to make major contributions, to the fight against terror, big contributions are being made by countries that werent doing so made by countries that werent doing so much in the form of contribution. One by one, we are keeping the promises i made to heroin people during my campaign for president. Whether it is cutting job killing regulations, appointing an confirming a tremendous Supreme Court justice, putting confirming a tremendous Supreme Courtjustice, putting in place tough new ethics rules, achieving a record reduction in illegal immigration on our southern border, or bringing jobs, plants and factories back in on to the United States, at numbers which no one, until this point, thought even possible. And believe me, we are just begun. The fruits of our labour will be seen very shortly, everyone more so. Will be seen very shortly, everyone more so. On these issues and so many more, we are following through on our commitment, and i dont want anything to get in our way. I am fighting every day for the great people of this country. Therefore, in order to fulfil my solemn duty to protect america and its citizen, the United States withdraw. Applause from the Paris Climate Accord. Thank you. Applause thank you. But begin negotiations to reenter either the paris accord, or in really entirely new transaction, when terms that are fair to the United States, its businesses, its workers, its people, its taxpayers, so we are workers, its people, its taxpayers, so we are getting out. But we will start to negotiate and we will see if we can make a deal that is fair. If we can, that is great. And if we cant, thats fine. Applause as president , i can put no other consideration before the wellbeing of american citizens. The Paris Climate Accord is simply the latest example of washington entering into an Awe Agreement that disadvantages the United States. To the exclusive benefit of other countries. Leaving American Workers, who i love, and taxpayers to observer the cost in terms of lostjob, taxpayers to observer the cost in terms of lost job, lower taxpayers to observer the cost in terms of lostjob, lower wages, shuttered factory, and vastly diminished economic production. Thus as of today, the United States will cease all implementation of the non binding paris accord, and the draconian financial and economic burdens the agreement imposes on our country. This includes ending the implementation of the nationally determined contribution, and very importantly, the Green Climate fund which is costing the United States a vast fortune. Compliance with the terms of the paris accord and the Energy Restrictions it has placed on the us could cost america as much as 2. 7 million lostjobs, by 20025. According to the National Economic research associates. This includes 440,000 fewer Manufacturering Jobs not what we need. Believe me this is not what we need. Believe me this is not what we need. Believe me this is not what we need. Including automobilejobs, and not what we need. Including automobile jobs, and the further decimation of vital american industries, on which countless communities rely. They rely for so much and we would be giving them so little. According to the same study by 2040, compliance with the commitments, put into place by the Previous Administration would cut production for the following sectors. Paper, down 12 . Cement, down 23 . Iron and steel, down 38 . Coal, and i happen to love the coal miners, down 86 . Natural gas down 31 . The cost to the economy at this time would be close to 3ing the in lost gdp and 6. 5 million industrial jobs, while house holds would have 7,000 less income and in many cases, much worse than that. Not only does this deal subject our citizens to harsh economic restrictions, it fails to live up to our environmental ideals, as someone who cares deeply about the environment, which i do, i can not in good conscience support a deal that punishes the us which is what it does. The worlds leader in Environmental Protection, while imposing no meaningful obligations on the worlds leading polluters. For example under the agreement china will be able to increase these emissions by a Staggering Number of yea rs, emissions by a Staggering Number of years, 13. They can do whatever they wa nt years, 13. They can do whatever they want for 13 years. Not us. India makes its participation contingent on receiving billions and billions and billions of dollars and foreign aid from developed countries. There are many other examples, but the bottom line is that the paris accord is very unfair at the highest level, to the United States. Further, while the current agreement effectively blocks the development of clea n effectively blocks the development of clean coal in america, which it does, and the minds are starting to open up, having a big opening in two week, pennsylvania, ohio, West Virginia, so many places, a big opening of a brand new mine, it is unheard of, for many years that hasnt happened. They asked me if i would go, i am going to try. China will be allowed to Build Hundreds of additional coal plants, so we cant build the plants but they can. According to this agreement. India will be allow to double its Coal Production by 2020. Think of it. India can double their Coal Production, we are supposed to get rid of ours, even europe is allowed construction of coal plant, in short the agreement doesnt eliminate coal jobsit the agreement doesnt eliminate coal jobs it transfers those jobs out of america and the United States, and ships them to foreign countries. That agreement is less about the climate, and more about other countries gaining a financial advantage, over the United States. The rest of world applauded when we signed the Paris Agreement. They went wild, that i were so happy. For the simple reason that it put our country the United States which we all country the United States which we a ll love. Country the United States which we all love. And a very very big economic disadvantage. A cynic would say the obvious reason for economic competitors, and their wish to see us remain in the agreement is so that we continue to suffer the self inflicted Major Economic wound. We would find it very hard to compete with other countries, with other parts of the world. We have among the abundant enemy reserves m, among the abundant enemy reserves in, sufficient to lift workers out of poverty. Under this agreement we are putting these reserves under lock and key taking away the great wealth of our nation. Great wealth. It is phenomenal wealth. Not so long ago we had no idea he had such wealth. And leaving millions and millions of families trapped in poverty and joblessness. The agreement is a massive redistribution of United States wealth, to other countries. At 1 growth, renewable sources of energy can meet some of our domestic demand. But at 3 or 4 growth, which i expect, we need all forms of available american energy. Or our country. Applause will be at grave risk o brown outs and black outs, our businesses will come to a halt in many cases and the American Family will suffer the consequences in the form of lost jobs and a very diminishes quality of life. Evenif of life. Even if the Paris Agreement were implemented in full, with total compliance from all nations, it is estimated it would only produce a two tenths of one degree, think of that.
