Steve Winwood and Valerie at Temple 7 on this Saturday morning welcome to b.b.c. Radio Suffolk as we're hearing in the news or Catherine almost 20000000 pounds of government funding has been awarded to Suffolk County Council is to upgrade the a 12 b. For a 2000 home development begins called Bright Well legs skills the mess he thinks is the leader of Suffolk County Council and had been asking him about more when and where the money came from but it was part of a application we made to d.f.t. Really place we've been successful in winning that 19800000 for road improvements at that really critical part of the a 12 so it's very good news so what improvements are we talking about then when it comes to that part of the a 12 east of it search planning application went through East Suffolk which is approved the homes to be built and this is about putting the infrastructure in place before the housing so it's a series of things around various roundabouts the fo'c'sle the model. Around about a 12 a 14 junction and also there dust will pack on about bus improving a series of roundabouts and the main junction there and bring in some of the utility network into the site so we'll sort of improvements are you hoping will be made to those very busy junctions I think that has been concern and is part of the planning process that was approved was looking at how the impact would be of the 2002 lings on the a 12 so this is about mitigating some of that and improving the junctions the thing that is really interesting about this is that actually we get the funding so that we can do the work before the development starts but at the end of the project we can then claim back the full amount of money the $19800000.00 from the housing developer and we can then reinvest that in another project as we go forward so this is not only about obviously unlocking the homes which is about improving the infrastructure but then having the ability to call that money back from the developer and reuse it again so it's is a double win for Suffolk we certainly double win but there are motorists and people living in the area that are concerned that you're going to put traffic lights on those particular junctions which will cause more delay particularly during the rush hour are you going to take those thoughts into consideration when you do those improvements to that part of the infrastructure in that area here I mean the stuff of has already approved the development and that's gone through the entire planning process what we now need to do is put the appropriate infrastructure in place before the housing is built and there is a whole series of items that and need to be addressed that came up through the planning process that will be looked at and that is the aim of using this 19800000 to deliver that as you hope will be spent they will be more manageable will be extra lanes all will be turf acknowledged to steady the flow of traffic well as a whole series of works from where the a 14 in the a 12 made all the. Up through the west at which road junction adust repast roundabout the fox around about the marsh around town the barracks where improvements as a whole series of developments along that stretch of road that came out in the planning process needed to have work actions. The planning process is really delivered as has made clear what needs to be done and now it's about just having the funding to deliver that you know what is even more good is that actually the funding is coming in place before the project starts so this can be done up front and before the infrastructure we put in place before the House and we often get complaints that you know housing appears in the infrastructure later on this occasion we can now we're in a position through this funding to put the infrastructure in before the housing does that mean then once the infrastructure is in place work will begin on bright well lakes and it will just be the $2000.00 is there's been given the green light or is there room for expansion well that that would be a matter for obviously the planning process and that he suffered counts so we are the highways or 30 are responsible for the highway so the money is kind place for us to deliver our part which is to make sure the appropriate infrastructure is in place before the House has been the weather more comes doesn't come that would obviously have to go through to planning process and I'm not familiar with the the detail on whether there is or isn't more that would really be a matter for the Suffolk and of a-C. For anyone that was interested in in putting anything forward but this funding is purely for what's been approved so once the infrastructure is up and running the houses have been built as you have already said you will get some money back how much are we talking about well then the I'm really pleased to say that the 19800000 can be clawed back from the housing developer which we can then look at finding other projects where we can reinvest and I really like this idea of investing putting the money into infrastructure before the housing comes forward so we will be then looking at other schemes whenever that point is reached. The leaders of accounts so councilor messy Hicks talking to me about that investment program East where the road is going to be improved over in the bright Well area before they start work on those 2000 or so plan problems for that part of the county that brings the total into a quarter past 7. At 9 o'clock this morning is rugby team will take on South Africa in the World Cup final in Japan England will be attempting to win for the 2nd time while the Springboks have a perfect record emo Cup finals Jonny Wilkinson kicks the winning drop goal last time England won the tournament in 2003 he believes the current squad won't be overwhelmed by the occasion I said difference in this team to a degree and some applies because I don't like the way I was and I think they're not reclusive very introverted in that respect I think they're going to deal with it and I why when i Reporter Aarons to fail will be following the game and he joins me now good morning to you hi morning after the remaining semifinal when England must be feeling confident ahead of 9 o'clock Yeah I mean that was a stunning victory and you've got to think after that they've got momentum on their side clearly coach Eddie Jones must feel the same he's named the same so he's named the same side that squared up against New Zealand for the game just a run and a half. And I think looking at the the whole tournament England if I quite calm and confident build up they've managed to get through without serious injuries and they've got a good track record in the test games against South Africa so all of that is kind of on their side in their favor and I think for a lot of people they are the favorites by. It's it's a World Cup final it's not over till it's over and I think we can expect a pretty bruising encounter you know the Springboks they were in their place in this final 2 they ground their way passive pretty tight Welsh defense in the other semifinals I mean we just heard from Jonny Wilkinson something else I heard him saying earlier was the year that New Zealand win was a great game but each game you have to hit the reset button and each match is different. It's the team's track record in finals so it's funny I was looking at England rugby Twitter feed and they were sending out videos of England's previous victories over South Africa you know kind of thing you do on final day at the fans riled up South Africa have actually won 3 of their 4 World Cup encounters with being English and England haven't won a World Cup final in 16 years the last time we were in a Final 2007 Amun loss to South Africa the Springboks they've got a perfect record in well Cup finals winning in 19052007 but don't be disheartened The same could have been said of New Zealand they'd won all of their previous World Cup games against England before that semifinal last week and of course that when England's way pretty spectacularly so sometimes past performance not a reliable indicator of future results well and thank you very much indeed for joining us this morning Chris Brown she's a p. T. Shirts and Joseph's College here in search where Louis love them of course was a people he joins me now Chris hello good morning t. I mean no surprise to you that England are in the World Cup final Yeah I'm delighted it's been an incredible tournament really fantastic to watch. And I have to say that the game against New Zealand is probably the best performance I can remember seeing from a from an emerging. Really breathtaking yet because you were sort of a little bit scared to skeptical about their performance ahead of the game last week you want to sure they were going to pull it out but they did didn't they yeah they were absolutely outstanding we've said all along that this image squad have prepared incredibly well and most built for this in this amazing crescendo. I saw the New Zealand forms again start in and so well this is a team who are going to take some stopping in and it was some forms of it stop. And surprise to me the Eddie Jones has chosen exactly the same team to go out on that pitch later this morning. You're not safe to surprised that the team that turned out in the semifinal played to such an incredible intensity at such a level you can just see how that momentum would roll into the final. I think England are probably the only side in. Immoderately with the power to match to tie . For us in Ipswich were a little bit disappointed that his power isn't going to make it out there into a World Cup final I think he would have really reveled in math I think it really suited his game down to the ground but you can argue about performance in the semifinal and a platform that was built but you must be extremely proud of Louis to be part of the England squad but the on crowd is his performances throughout the group stages and setting the platform to go into into the final has been absolutely outstanding by the really refocus our team match. And it's. Life changing experience for him and I think all of us who know less looking forward to seeing how he uses that to launch into the next car his career and how to play along and really. Productive England career are you confident of victory this morning for England. Yeah I asked bizarrely bizarrely confident I think England. This disconcerting maybe more than playing against against Wales even had Wales one massive and final. I think it will be a really hard heart for Butler and I just got this feeling that this team is getting a similar crimes to the 6 for years and I think they're going to going to come out absolutely primed and ready Well we keep everything crossed of course on t.v. From 9 o'clock this morning I'll be back with us in Jos college on Monday morning to gauge reaction to that final heavy talking to you and all the rugby team there as well because they're very excited about the game this morning and hopefully fingers crossed we can come away with that World Cup Chris for the moment thank you very much indeed for joining us on the program this morning thank you and by Chris Brown's therapy. And Joseph's College here in England all the very best in will be a rugby club we saw on the wall at 10 to 9 this morning is that build up continues to the World Cup Let me give you a quick reminder of the brain teaser this morning I am a fruit you cross off the 1st letter and I'm a crime cross of the 2nd letter and I'm an animal cross off the next to let is an I'm of so what's that your brain teaser this morning if you think you know the answer and want to win the pair of tickets to see all this dreamboat at the new rules you studios and the fridge magnet you know what you've got to do on a fruit you cross off the 1st letter and on a crime cross of the 2nd letter and I'm an animal cross off the next 2 letters and I'm a valor so what am I. 100. 81 b.b.c. Radio was. It was a former Suffolk schoolboy who played for England in the 2007 Rugby World Cup final believes any Gerrard his side will beat South Africa this morning and lift the trophy for the 2nd time Peter Richards says England players have to avoid complacency and play the game right. Then the occasion if they do that he believes they'll prove too strong for the Springboks recall I think so for the record this woke up like they they grow to grow going they look very very very hard to great. To read to a bed young or you know a red card are called the house of Africa can overcome it but I think they look so strong and so I don't get it. Because it's the night collaboration between robots in Iraq I've been threats in school safety also in the skill base that she no joke has she if you know the feel good fellas. You'll know that he's amazing x. I came out of retirement to make this film Harvey Keitel as well so the greats really of the mobster movie The Great Salt the recent gangster film all black and all in this together and it tells the story of Frank share and you had his name mentioned in that clip. Really for the mob to the Matthew era the fifty's and sixty's and beyond maybe in Pennsylvania and North East America works a lot with controversial union boss Jimmy Hoffa back in those days and it's about him looking back on his life to My Space The main question of this failed the Irishman is if you are old if you are in for a lot of this maybe the French Sharon is in a care home looking back on things happened in the past if you are like that how do you feel about your past if you are a bad person if you are a criminal how do you feel about the things you did when you were younger so it has a sort of a big emotional depth to it almost a philosophical depth to it as well and just of course brilliant performances because Robert scenario we know can be brilliant something I'm seacoast so long a bit sometimes he does it just for the money this is not one of those films because he's so legs with the directs of School Safety and he's the 1st time that the back together for several years is a remarkable coalmines quite a lot has been made of the aging techniques of the use computerized techniques to make robots narrow in Alpha Cino and the other is look younger when they flash back to the fifty's in the sixty's and that's really well done actually at 1st you might think that looks a little odd but I really it did the the issues go within a few seconds so you're watching I'm glad you said what you think I want to Chino and the robots hero you know look at the states look 3540 years old when it when I saw Joe patient Oh my goodness has any hate you know her own dizzy looks I watched in My Cousin Vinny the other night which I thought was a brilliant them love am saying is I many times it just makes me laugh and I just only would I'm sitting for ages and then there he was on the screen with Oh Robert Dinero and thought well he has an angel bed but as you say he's come out of retirement. Yeah and this is the the pull of this movie really because it is it's I think it feels like Martin Scorsese hasn't said he's going to retire but it certainly feels like he's winding down a bit of the same with the axis as well it feels like every He makes one more time because they're all still here let's do it one more time let's do a brilliant brilliant sell will make it 3 hours long and I wasn't bowled Freddy 2nd but a 3 hour the sound was $13.00 and a half hours yeah it feels market mini series really than a movie but we'll all get together one more time make it big make it epic and we'll go out with a flourish and they read and do that they said Need to me is well worth saying Robert Deniro. In the r. Issue and let's move on to a next movie and we start with a clip because the knives are around. I'm Detective a 2000000. And this is Trooper Wagner we just want to ask you questions. Under stand not of his demise. Gathered to celebrate your father's 85th birthday. I was at the party. My dad's death. It's great. Ladies and gentlemen I would like to get the call Steve until the investigation is complete. Can I ask why something changed you know no it hasn't changed or no we can't ask Toni Collette a this is a his down it was a no stone cost isn't it James It really is it's a bit of a tribute to Agatha Christie yes not Agatha Christie story but it certainly has that feel about it how are you with who done it so you can you always guess the murderer I used to manage to do that was going to be do both oh she's Ok. I like terrible and I always think if I can guess if it's an hour into the film and I can guess that it must be a bad film yes I'm really terrible at that and certainly didn't get it with this but yes it's it's not I've got a pretty story but it has that feel it's actually about a family gathering in a big old creepy house that goes wrong after one of the family members starts and they gather for the reading of the will and it has that all star cost that we would love for you know the Paro film so you got dial crazy you heard a bit of him and he did leave out of this fantastic Deep South. American accent in it's He's the detective trying to work out what. You've got j.b. Because he said that's how he plays he said Bob Johnson is it that he's Brit Christopher Plummer he's having a whale of a time when they see us greats so it feels like that's the 1000000 whodunits that he does it's from the past it has all the things we love about the Don it's it's but it's modern day and it also has some twists to it a bit at the most an edge to it as well so for me it's the perfect combination they certainly is and that sound on the 29th of November and just briefly they talking about the G.'s bond. They endanger you've already sort of stunts he said of speculating who could take on the role of the Bee Gees' absolutely Well of course off the success of rock even rats these only natural really that film company film companies are going to be looking at the biggest selling all to civil time and thinking it's their story worth turning into the me they and the Bee Gees of you know I think yes Gene story of the many decades set ups and downs of highs and lows so yes it's worth having it's a story and I was thinking well they are 70 Australian I know they have links to mansions they're in the Isle of Man as well but all they're all straight he had brothers who could do this so I think you should have real brothers playing just a bit and then I thought about the Hemsworth brother. Chris Hemsworth he's in a place for in the Marvel. He's probably Liam Hemsworth made several films as well and there's a 3rd brother as well and I thought maybe they could do it that would be good because they are Australian That is Chris Hemsworth has that sort of dashing look. So this is pure speculation required and I will say all that whatsoever obviously think 3 l.z. Brothers played 3 brothers go to work yes go to whether they take any notice. Remains to be seen but his moment when he was very nice of me. Says Emma thank you very much and they will catch up with you next month but I can tell you something just between you and me. When I. Asked that in a very windy day in stove got a message with the weather warning out that it's valid until 6 o'clock a very blustery day and the wind to be picking up round about an hour a day and they'll peak at about midday ran about lunch time 1st part of the often and then after that though slowly tend to east out but it will be very blustery all day and they need to watch out if you have to spray whatever there might be some possible disruption caused by that is that enough to bring in the trays and and have played on fire around a little bit as well as a very windy day there will be some rain on and off but it's mostly dry the main into We've got some sunshine around but there will be some rain in the full cost a from this area a pressure that is just waiting around to expect to see that off the next couple of hours will say some heavy rain in the full cost well isn't dry brightest again light on the soft inane the winds will gust as high as perhaps 50 to 55 miles an hour through the middle part of the day and then slowly as we head through the very blustery right up until the end of the warning period and 3 much of this evening as well top temperatures today of around 12 or 13 degrees Celsius even ice nice slightly lighter winds but staying pretty windy there also be some rain around.
