Trade tops new minister’s agenda

PRESIDENT Mnangagwa yesterday swore-in Dr Fredrick Shava as the new Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade at State House in Harare.
Dr Shava was until his appointment the country’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York.
The minister could not take oath of office together with four other appointees made by the President as his appointment had to be regularised in terms of the Constitution.
The other newly appointed ministers are Cde Nokuthula Matsikenyere (Minister of State for Manicaland Province), Cdes Felix Mhona (Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Development), Kindness Paradza (Deputy Minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services) and Home Affairs and Cultural Heritage Deputy Minister Ruth Mavhungu-Maboyi have since taken their oaths of office.
