The Tallahassee Police Department arrested a man in connection to a fatal accident involving an all terrain vehicle and a scooter Tuesday.
Police said Deon Webster, 27, was performing tricks on the ATV when he crashed into the driver of the scooter. Webster was arrested on charges of vehicular homicide, driving without a license, causing death with a vehicle and possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana.
The accident occurred in the 900 block of High Road just after 5:30 p.m. May 15.
Webster was "performing wheelies" on the highway and passing in no-pass zones while driving an ATV when he lost control and veered into the southbound lane — ultimately colliding with the driver of the scooter, according to a TPD police report.
