The federal government recently released the estimated local aid approved through the recently enacted American Recovery Plan Act.
According to Concord Town Manager Stephen Crane, the town will receive approximately $5.5 million in direct federal aid.
“We get the direct appropriation that other places will get for counties, as well,” Crane told the Select Board during its virtual meeting on March 29. “Not having meaningful county government here in Massachusetts is going to pay off in the amount of stimulus we’re receiving.”
Although the Treasury Department will provide its interpretation on eligible uses, the following activities are specifically permitted:
