OAKVILLE – On Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2020, Timothy “Sarge” Sargunas, loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, passed away at the age of 71.
Timothy was born on Aug. 27, 1949, in Waterbury, to Albert and Mary (West) Sargunas. He worked as a patient caregiver at Waterbury Hospital for most of his career and later retired from adult services at St. Vincent’s in Stratford. He was passionate about helping and caring for others in his career and personal life.
On Oct. 22, 1982, he married Susan Lynn Hill. They raised two children, Jessica and Timothy Jr. More than anything, Tim enjoyed spending time with his family, and telling and listening to stories. He was never happier than spending quality time with his grandkids. He was known by everyone as a guy who lit up a room and was always smiling. He could make anyone feel as though they had known him for years and would do anything for anyone he loved. Some of his hobbies included fishing and boating and watching NASCAR racing, football, and other sports.
