At least 18 residents of a Tillsonburg apartment complex are being housed in area motels, while many more are with friends and family, after an apartment fire Sunday night.
A fire broke out in a single third-floor apartment at Park Towers on Concession Street at around 6 p.m. Sunday night, town officials said in a statement. The fire was “fully involved” when crews, including firefighters from Norfolk County Courtland, arrived on the scene.

The building was evacuated and everyone from the building’s 47 units  – many of them seniors – were able to get out safely, said acting deputy fire Chief Vanessa Devolin. Two firefighters received “minor” injuries while working on scene.
