All right, here's the radar this morning, looking at that rain that's moving out of the south Mississippi and today it will be a little bit of a time to dry. A little bit of a reprieve in between. These rain systems are right now, temperatures in the upper fifties, mid fifties up to the North Greenwood and Greenville. We have the skies that are breaking a little bit, allowing for a little bit of sunshine but the skies are going to cloud back over again tonight and we have more rain in the forecast. Unfortunately for your friday 58 right now, northeast wind it around nine helping to bring some of that drier air into the area. 56 at Carthage 55 Kazi esko 60 for Port Gibson and Fayette 62 degrees down in Macomb. And so we have a cold front which is moving down across the region this morning. We have a stalled front along the gulf coast and this is really focusing that heavy rainfall from southeast Louisiana, coastal Mississippi over into Alabama and the florida gulf coast. This first system is going to move out during the afternoon and then we have some northerly winds that try to dry us out, but then we have more cloud cover that moves in tonight, that we have the rain showers tomorrow morning. Some of that rain could be heavy at times that moves out by early morning. Then we have another round of rain that moves in Later on in the day and that continues into Friday night. And some of that rain could be heavy at times as well. So in any rate, the flooding situation on the rivers is not going to improve with this rain that continues to move through and south Mississippi once again looks to have the highest rainfall totals high temperatures 14 year 70 and we're stuck in this pattern at least until friday night before things do begin to get a little bit better low pressure to our north, high pressure down to the south. The rain train continues across our area and that will be the case at least into saturday before the pattern begins to change and we do turn drier and a bit cooler. So we're running the rainfall totals through friday and you can see the highest is going to be down here over two inches possible from Natchez to fayette Brookhaven, over to Bass field over an inch here in the metro area and the rivers down here, these are the river gauges and they're all registering flood stage or above flood stage, minor to moderate flood stage along the Pearl River, moderate flood stage from Natchez down into parts of Louisiana on the Mississippi here is the Leaf River in minor flood stage to check us away River in the big Black River and the Yazoo River also in flood stage as well, with more rain moving through. That is not going to help that flood situation in those areas 74 today morning rain moving out, clearing out by the afternoon, a nice evening, it's going to be dry but clouding up rain by dawn temperatures near 50 and there's your 70 forecast Sunshine for Sunday the next week. A time to dry with numbers in the low 70s. Mhm.
