ROBERT MACINTYRE justified his position as pre-tournament favourite by claiming a share of the halfway lead in the Betfred British Masters, while Ireland’s Paul Dunne is four shots off the lead after a second-round score of 69.
The 28-year-old Dubliner is not the only Irish player competing.
Down native Cormac Sharvin is tied for 48th on level par after a score of 71.
Fellow Northern Irishman Jonathan Caldwell is one shot behind him after finishing on 69 for the day.
However, Niall Kearney and Colm Moriarty both missed the cut, as they finished on +6 and +9 respectively.
