1. Stop by Lockwood Park for a film on the big screen
Flix on the Farm will take place at 7:45 pm. Friday at Lockwood Park, 5201 Safford Road, Rockford. “Star Wars: A New Hope” will be shown on a large outdoor screen. Sound from the movie will be transmitted to car radios. The parking lot will open and the Children's Animal Barn will open one hour prior to the movie start time. 2. Take part in outdoor activities at Klehm Arboretum
Go Public Garden Days will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday at Klehm Arboretum & Botanic Garden, 2715 S. Main St., Rockford. Activities will include free daily admission, a spring smartphone tour and scavenger hunt, assorted children's activity kits, an educational webinar "Mini Meadows" and a Botanica presentation and workshop.
