GREENFIELD — The Massachusetts Association of Community Colleges has named three Greenfield Community College students — Kimberly Day, Kellie Girouard and Brody Trott — to its 2021 Phi Theta Kappa All-Massachusetts Academic Team. They are among 40 community college students in the state to receive the honor.
Phi Theta Kappa is the international honor society of two-year colleges. Students who achieve grade point averages of 3.5 or higher are invited to join, according to a GCC press release.
After paying a one-time membership fee of $75, Phi Theta Kappa students have opportunities to build their leadership skills by organizing events, participating in conferences and serving as officers with their college’s chapter, or with the regional and national organizations, the release explains. They can also apply for exclusive scholarships.
